I have given 5 stars for the simple…
I have given 5 stars for the simple reason, no business could could beat the total incompetence of Lloyds Banking for this they must be awarded 5 stars.
Over 30 years banking with them both personal and business. I have been trying to change address for over 4 years both writing and visits to local branch not forgetting the 2 hour phone calls.
Recently have tried to make changes to my banking arrangements, can I talk to somebody who understands banking NO, can I talk to my local branch manager NO, can somebody call me back NO.
The Professional manner of their incompetence is truly worth 5 stars
worse bank ever
Unhelpful and Patronising
I rang the call centre from New Zealand hoping for help with setting up a new recipient on my bank account as I wasn't sure how to enter the telephone number for confirmation and how I would know if it worked. Spoke to a patronizing man who said he didn't know and huffed and went silent when I asked why not! Worst service ever just wish I'd got his name to complain.
Lloyds Bank Agriculture call centre…
Lloyds Bank Agriculture call centre dreadful, no one cares, they just want to tick boxes, very poor service
Worst service ever
Worst service ever. Start off with a relationship manager then get when your up and running all you do is get passed around in call centres
Awful bank to deal with
Awful bank to deal with. Business banking is a complete nightmare and I wasn't even able to log a formal compliant because the department weren't picking up the phone.
My main issue is that within the past few months we've had our card flagged and blocked by the fraud department for unusual transactions and there was nothing unusual in them at all.
Unlike personal accounts, you get NO notification payments are blocked, *your payments simply get declined*. You can imagine the impact this might have on a business.
At the time of typing this review, I'm on hold for whats expected to be 40 minutes to get the block lifted because some computer algorithm seems to think a regular payment is likely fraudulent (that was the case last time).
Complete nightmare and I'm changing accounts asap.
Absolutely the most incompetent Bank
Absolutely the most incompetent Bank, simple banking activities such as making a deposit at a branch are prevented by appallingly obstructive & unhelpful staff (not trained & not their fault). Management consistently demonstrate they do not care about their customers or their business. There are always problems with basic bank services at Lloyds.
I WOULD GIVE ZERO IF I COULD
WOULD GIVE ZERO IF I COULD. Business been with Lloyds for years. Cannot get face to face meeting to discuss important issues and large sums of money. This is "Not an Option" any more as they have Relationship Teams that are telephone based. Most of local branches have closed and no longer one Manager per branch they float around between branches and you cannot even speak to them direct over the phone. APPALLING SERVICE
Very unhelpful bank for a business
I have been waiting for overdraft option for 1 months....many phone calls, and after just silence....no overdraft ....no more calls...have lost so much time
Absolutely useless!
Absolutely useless!
Their systems don't work! Application got 'stuck' so many times and I had to keep calling them up to 'release' it to the next step.
Once it was finally open they never sent out anything so I'm left without online access and no cards. Was transferred back and forth to different departments who didnt know what happened and assured I would receive the opening information in another 5-10 working days.
Looking at other reviews, i'm now worried that these glitches will continue once it's operational, so I think I will just ditch this account and open one with another bank.
It's been a total waste of time and effort
Terrible.
Terrible.
There system is rubbish and has glitches that seem to randomly take duplicate payments from clients leaving your business looking like scammers. If you're thinking of getting a business account I wouldn't bother save your reputation and having to explain to many customers "it's our bank not us"
Poor business banking website search facility
The business banking website has created a "new" search tool which is actually worse than the prevous one ... you now search on 'description' ie you have to know what the payer has tagged the payment ??? The facility to search for a specific amount has been removed ... this was, for us, an extremely helpful option especially as many customers' bank accounts are not the name of the trading element ie ABC ltd might be the owning company of a restaurant called 'stuffed'
Dreadful
Dreadful experience of setting up an account. Continually change their mind about what they need and what is acceptable. A lot of time wasted calling for information. So far has taken 5 months to open an account.
Interestingly, I went to Lloyds because I had a good customer experience with Bank of Scotland who are part of the same group.
Useless for small merchants
Useless for small merchants. Ridiculously complicated and expensive even if you only use PCI complaint 3rd parties.
This is a company that continues to…
This is a company that continues to race to the bottom of the customer service pile . They ought to be reminded they take a fee and so they are obliged to deliver a service . They prefer to say if you dont like my service you can move on but we need to hols them accountable .I went there yesterday as a 30 years customer to get a document notarized and was told new rules that say if I am not a social friend of management I cannot get that service done .They went as far to stress that if I was not a customer I could get it done as long as they were personal friends We need to hold them accountable to provide honest service which they charge us for

Did you here the one about the bank who have no customer toilets who send you to the pub next door !
What a cheek they charge you for whatever they can yet palm you off on next door for free Loos bloody cheek
But the Goddard arms is the pub they do lovely food
Embarrassingly bad business banking
There was an error with the address when setting up the business account. All that had to be changed is one digit of the postal address.
2 months later with my mail still being sent to the wrong address, I receive a letter from Lloyd's stating that they aren't clear on the address that needs to be changed.
It's quite clear that the number needs to be changed from the current address on file to the new one requested on the form.
They want me to use the included envelope to send the form back to them. There was no envelope and this would be the third time filling in the same form. Really?
Closing the account and moving to a better bank on Monday.
I had already been into the bank 3 times to query this and they just said that they don't deal with business banking address changes and got the form filling run-around.
If I could score less I would.
If I could score less I would.
So disappointed with the level of service myself and my partner have received.
A simple request: "I'd like my partners name added to my account" resulted in 1 x 2 hour meeting in branch and 1 x 30 minute meeting on a separate day to complete.
We took time off work - sat through the first meeting until 17:40 and then conveniently the system crashed and we had to leave.
7 x phone calls from the "Advisor" the following day all with irrelevant questions resulted in a second trip to the branch which lasted a further half an hour.
The outcome? My name is incorrect on my card & mail. It appears its impossible to call a human in Lloyds (don't even try to google a no. because I can tell you right now its 0345 000 000) - its great if you want to check your account with a robot but if you'd like a 2 way conversation though, theres no chance.
The contact card my "Advisor" handed over has a direct line to him...0345 000 000.
My advice - do not switch your account here. Literally any other bank/building society is better.
Lloyds Business Banking is not fit for purpose.
Lloyds Business Banking is not fit for purpose.
I recently closed a ltd company for personal reasons, as i was due a HMRC tax back payment i kept my business accounts open. Well guess what Lloyds closed my account and now Im sitting on a £2000 HMRC cheque made out to the company that I cant cash. Lloyds are unhelpful and will not reinstate my account to allow me to cash it. Infact the lady on the phone had a 'tough, your problem attitude. Im not on Social Media so I cant shame them into action.
Thank you Lloyds for all my monthly charges that I paid and never being overdrawn. I see loyalty is a one way street.
So AVOID Lloyds Business Banking they are unwilling and unhelpful to the core.
Impossible to speak to a human being
Impossible to speak to a human being - I have spent over an hour trying to get hold of an actual real human being who can answer some important transaction queries on my account, to no avail. This follows on from their banking system being out of action at the weekend, so that ATMs, online business transactions or nothing else seemed to work. On Saturday, I finally got hold of someone in International Payments to request an urgent payment to a supplier was made, spent 2 hours sorting that out, only to find that no record of the transaction is visible in my accounts today...no record of any pending transactions, literally nothing to indicate that the payment is being processed at all. And now it is impossible to get hold of anyone to find out what's going on whilst my suppliers are jumping up and down because they haven't received payment. Terrible service.
