DO NOT TRUST THEM.
This company will be happy to still you if you are not carefull. i cleared my loan with a lump sum of cash as interest rate were more the 20%. However Close brother carried taking payment on my account despite not owing them anymore money and hoping i would not notice.
I needed to call them by phone to ask a refund.
This is what i call "stealling $".

Online fixed rate ISA
Have been trying to open an online fixed rate cash ISA for several hours this Saturday afternoon only to keep receiving an error message each time. Not sure if it’s due to high demand or the fact Close Brothers does not provide a weekend service as they have no opening hours during the weekend like other Banks. It’s a shame as they seem to have a very favourable rate but it looks like I am going to have to just stay with the existing Bank to avoid all this hassle. I will also be warning both my daughters who were also looking to transfer of the problems I faced.

Easy to navigate through the account opening and money depositing process. Email confirmation at various stages confirms progress. I missed the opportunity to note my customer number and this resulted in a customer service contact. The phone was answered immediately and the problem solved. All good.

I would love to open an ISA with you but
I would love to open an ISA with you, but your online New Customer Application form crashes with every browser, chrome, edge, firefox. Enter post code, select address - Booom! Select Job Title - Cant proceed because Job selected from the list is rejected , then try to select again and Boom! it crashes.
Looks like i have to go else where!
Update:
After a lot of faffing about and including typing occupation in full and not selecting from the pull down menu, doing the address first, and also disabling Ad Block extensions, I eventually got my accounts transferred.

Filled in an application but it did not seem to register. Found out it had been but no details how to transfer money. I was referred to their internet site but no details how to find it.

Good Service
Tried to open an account. Did not receive an activation code. I am travelling abroad and the emails do not make it clear that the activation code is sent in the post. My son checked and it did not arrive. Close Brothers reached out to me and the issue is now resolved.

My experience with Close Brothers
For the last 2 years I held an account with CB, my experience was nothing but extremely positive. Everyone I dealt with was very polite and well well behaved. I honestly cannot find a negative point to comment on and I do not believe I got lucky.

I don't trust Close Brothers Savings
Applied for an online one year fixed rate savings bond. Website not nearly as clear and transparent as other similar savings options. To transfer money into the bond from your bank you are asked to name the payee as "Close Brothers Ltd" not Close Brothers Savings. My bank pulled up a fraud security check as this account name is not on the FSCS list and I listed the type of account as Investment. Close Brothers do say that they are guaranteed for savings up to £85,000 through their clearing bank RBS. Following a long time wasted with my bank security measures the money was transferred into my new savings account. However that, and learning of the worrying investigation that Close Brothers Group is currently under made me concerned. Believing that there was a 14 day cooling off period, I asked to close the account and be reimbursed. It seems that the 14 day period only applies to ISA's. This was not clear on their terms and conditions page headed "Savings" and although it details the different savings accounts, I read the notice as being applicable to all savings, as is usually the case. The helpline person was curt and not pleasant. I am stuck with this savings bond now and hope that my money is more secure than their current reputation. In contrast, a second savings bond I opened with Monument Bank was crystal clear, opened in minutes with an account IN MY NAME and they have updated me with all details and information.
