My mothers vehicle has been undervalued…

My mothers vehicle has been undervalued even though i have send the insurance company and the independent engineer proof off the live market value off what similar cars are on in the market this is including the specification my vehicle has/had ,even after justifying my point i am getting paid less than half what my vehicle is worth is this fair to you if you was getting paid out less than half!? when disputing with them their staff kept on contradicting themselves and when confronted just kept in repeating the same over and over again so we are just going in circles. they than turn around and say we don't look at that auto trader and eBay, yeah because people selling on them websites are lairs aren't they! By far the worst ever company i have had to deal with never going to use this company in the future. i wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Liars and incompetent

Took out insurance and was supposed to receive £50 co op vouchers in November as a thank you. I needed to change my direct debit date because they set it up incorrectly and I was told to cancel my policy and take out a new one to do this but my vouchers did not transfer over. I was told to wait until end of December for them to arrive even though I knew they wouldn't because they were for the previous cancelled policy. They told me on numerous occasions they did not know how to contact the team that deal with the vouchers to resolve the issue until my last call the operator told me they just had to get up and walk over to the girl who issues them. So they tell lies. Also told the vouchers would be issued and I still haven't received them. Customer complaints knew nothing except to say they have not been issued. I am supposed to trust them with an actual claim. Steer clear of them. The customer service guy sounded uninterested and I don't hold out any hope of this being sorted out.

Completely mis handled a non fault accident. A year later and at least 6 hours of my time I still don't have my excess from third party. The agents apologise for each others mis advise ans each call takes an hour, so frustrating. NEVER again

Steer well clear of these lying scammers

I took out a policy with co op back in June and unfortunately my car was written off, co op were great up until the point that they paid out.

However, I am disgusted at their customer service. I asked them to listen to some transcripts after they lied and miss-sold to me only for them to come back and tell me that the transcripts were in their favour even though I made two separate calls which they clearly stated I was entitled to reimbursement.

Co op didn’t leave notes on my account either, which means that all I am met with is rudeness. They left false information on my account which almost led to my policy being cancelled.

I am now out of pocket by almost £1000 thanks to co op! Steer clear of this company.

Co-Op house insurance renewals scam

Co-Op house insurance renewals scam. For 2 years in a row now I have ended up not renewing due to a price hike scam. This years example is a 2018 premium of £261.95 with a 2019 renewal quote of £326.84 for the same policy cover. That is a 25% price hike even with my no claims going from 30% to 40%. Now here's the issue ... I like Coop & their ethical position & have been a member for rmany years. They should be treating loyal customers fairly. When I went on-line and used the same supplier for an identical cover quote it was £207.00 ! I spoke to the customer adviser, who was very helpful & efficient (like last year) & ended my current policy at its finish date & started the new one as quoted online. For the sake of a 10 minute call & a bit of research on the internet I saved myself £120. I guess I should be happy but I am disappointed that an organisation like the Co-Op would do this & if you are not savvy, are old \ vulnerable or simply do not have access to the internet you would by paying £120 more for the same cover - this is unfair. I had logged a complaint on the call not with anything to do with the customer service but simply this policy of hiking up renewals hoping people will not notice or have the time to check.
ps just in case you think this might be a obvious change in cover terms I got the Co-Op renewals person to check existing policy with new policy & they confirmed the new one was slightly better cover & confirmed it on the phone.
Come on Co-Op you are better than this.

Co-op Young Driver Insurance

Before I say anything, I would like to state this is for the Co-op Young Driver Insurance section of Co-op Insurance.

I can't really fault the customer service, they pick up pretty quick and get stuff sorted in a decent amount of time.

However, before you purchase this policy think about where you live and if you need to use any more than 50% throttle at any time. I live near an A road with short slip roads and 70mph traffic, this requires me to not drive at 5mph 24/7. This, according to the cretinous box in my car, is wrong and means my policy went up by £260 for the remaining 6 months because of something I simply cannot f***** change. The box scoring system & dashboard is horrific. Want to corner at more than 10 mph? nope. Want to get to 70mph in under 60 seconds? nope. Want to drive at 11:01pm? nope. You get the idea.

I raised a formal complaint and was told the box is fine and I should've considered where I live first? It was my first ever insurance policy (as it is for most young drivers) how the f*** was I meant to know this is for people who live on farms?

Will not be renewing.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Surprisingly poor service has driven me to draft this review. I have motor insurance via AA but they actually contract this with Co-Op. My car was stolen in the process of our house being burgled whilst we were in which was traumatic for wife and kids as you can imagine.

Model Provider

Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. Aside for not providing business insurance, I have always found Co-operative insurance to be the model provider: the only one that DOESN'T hike their prices, so I'v stayed with them for years. The twice I've had to make a claim, they were efficiency itself, making difficult situations a lot easier. Highly recommended.

Never Ever Use Co-op Insurance - You need protection from them!

I have clicked on one star because that is the only way to get here! This company called Co-op insurance is the worst I have ever dealt with. A fraudulent person called them to report I hit them! I had warned them in advance that this could happenen. I told them nothing happened to both cars as police had investigated and closed the case. My premium is now over £100 because the Co-op fraudsters settled or claim they settled without my knowledge. They lied they did not receive all the documents I sent even though I had proof! We work hard and to have a wicked and heartless company like this fool around with my no claims is most annoying! I almost feel like this is a scam! Reading the cases below I see that I am not alone! I will go to every social media site, I will do everything it takes to get back my no claims! Please do not put yourself through this same pain. Keep well away from Co-op Insurance. Do not make my mistake!

They don’t even deserve 1 star

They don’t even deserve 1 star! Someone drove into my car and as I had no witnesses they didn’t bother investigating my claim and settled it on 50-50 basis. Lies lies lies!! They sat on my claim for few months and decided to settle it without a single piece of investigation to get to the truth. When I complaint, they have £100 compensation to close the matter!! My premiums went up more than £100 and I am now dealing with ombudsman in the hope for justice. Failing that i will either contact watchdog or drag them to court!! My advice would be not to insure with them, the company is a joke, full of lazy people with appalling customer service but they are good at making false promises. On one of my cars, Someone accidentally cancelled my insurance and I only found out when I had a letter from MOD. One error after another and I am sick of it now!!

I wasn't sure about this insurance…

I wasn't sure about this insurance company at first. But I did take out a vehicle policy with them.
I had a collision in peak hour traffic and telephoned co op eco who answered straight away. The communication was excellent. They arranged recovered immediately which arrived within 20 minutes. The arranged a courtesy car which arrived within 24 hours. They even upgraded the car for me. Within 5 or 6 days the claim was settled and the stated my car was a total loss. They arranged to pay the valuation of my car immediately. In total, I was on the telephone to the co op eco for 10/15mins, over 5 or 6 days. No issues. Feels like I didn't even have a collision. Total confidence in this company.
