Superb long term service

Over the last 5 years I have bought all CSP 737-800 panels and gauges. Superb quality at a decent price and Sam is always there to answer any questions I had.
I recently ordered my final two gauges to complete the MIP, I have everything I need now to complete my project. Unfortunately, while mounting the clear perspex DU covers I dropped one onto some superglue which made a right mess. No way to clean it up. Sam kindly enclosed a replacement for free. Also some replacement OHP stickers that had faded.
Excellent service and I highly recommend.

First CSP order

Received my order in Canada about 14 weeks after order. CSP kept me updated through the order period, and were very easy to deal with. I am amazed at the quality and weight of the product (main inst panel). I would not hesitate to order again. Excellent overall experience.

For any Australian buyers

For any Australian buyers, beware of paying for quicker delivery. I've been waiting 16 days and I still dont have my items. After paying 65 pounds for Express delivery, I still have not received my package.

Beware

Hi David,
i completely understand how you feel and i dont blame you at all! we have shipped your package on the 20th and today is the 28th! however i have to say this is very unusual for delivery to take over 7 days! courier companies can be really useless sometimes and unfortunately we as retailers pay for their mistakes! i have contacted them to request full investigation for this delay, i will inform you as soon as i have an answer.

the good news is that the package has cleared customs in Australia and you should be getting it in the next 2 working days.

regards
Sam

Amazing!

Just before the new year, I ordered some parts from CSP to build my flight simulator, and I have been very impressed with the whole experience of shopping with them.

When the parts arrived, they were packaged well - with plenty of bubble wrap - and were in perfect condition. The parts themselves are of a very good quality, and although in some places you can see that they are in fact handmade, they pass as very realistic parts.

The only negatives I can think of is that postage was very expensive - I only live in london and the parts were coming from wales. The lead time specified was 2-4 days, however they took considerably longer to arrive. However, when I emailed to find out where my order was, I was replied to promptly with an email assuring me that it would be dispatched tomorrow.

Excellent service from CSP, and I highly recommend for cockpit builders to shop there.

COCKPITSIMPARTS.CO.UK RATED OUTSTANDING FOR SIM PROJECTS!

When I was looking around at different online sites to purchase parts for my full size 737NG simulator project I came across Cockpitsimparts.co.uk. (CSP) Their prices seemed very competitive with others and I liked the fact that they were based in the UK, Wales actually.

The main parts I ordered from them was the Fire Control Panel, The Overhead Panel V2 and the Main Instrument Panel (MIP) V5. In addition to this I ordered a number of knobs, throttle levers etc.

The quality of all the products I received has been OUTSTANDING. As good, if not better than the real thing! Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is superb and once I have it finished I will be posting pictures on YouTube and other social media and giving credit to CSP for their work.

Every review should list any negatives in the interests of impartiality but the only downside I can honestly list was the time it took to get the parts, which was slightly over the lead-time they listed for shipment on their website. Even then, it was over Christmas, I kept adding to the order, and not only did they still very nearly hit the deadline, but they were very prompt about communicating with me about it. When I look at the quality against price, it is no wonder that they don't have these things pre-built and ready to go, and all other simulator part companies also seem to have a lead time on major parts so I really can't grumble. As I am new to this it would also have been nice to have a paper template showing how to fit all the bits together, and a reminder to remove ALL the white plastic (both sides) to allow for backlighting. It is so well put on, it actually looks like an integral part of the product on some components, but that may just be me having a 'senior' moment!

Those suggestions aside, when friends (including airline pilots) look at the panels, especially now now I have installed all the 'bells and whistles' they are utterly amazed. One even commented that there must be a 737-800 sitting at some remote airport with the lock broken off the doors and the cockpit missing!!

The only further advice I would give is where possible, and if budget allows, I would recommend that you order the components for the panels you buy from CSM rather than trying to source them cheaper elsewhere like I did to save costs. I shot myself in the foot as there was a lot of backwards and forwards getting sizes of switches, rotary pots correct from multiple suppliers and if I had purchased the ones that CSM make available with each panel I think the project would have been finished sooner, and possibly cheaper. Especially the LED Boxes which are almost impossible to find elsewhere and have some lead time for CSM to make.

I have no allegiance or connection to CSP, other than promising them I would write an honest and balanced review once I had received and put together all the components I ordered from them. I have and I am VERY VERY HAPPY and will continue to use Cockpitsimparts.
