Life is too short not to have the best. Here at Cocoba, we believe in creating exceptional quality chocolate products and drinks to enjoy. We search the globe for the highest quality cocoa beans and best tasting chocolate (it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it). The concept for the chocolate brand started with a memory. Cocoba’s founder, Darren, is from Australia where he grew up sharing delicious hot chocolates with his grandfather that he carefully made, not from powder, but using real, premium chocolate. When Darren came to the UK, he could not find a chocolate drink that matched the one from his childhood, so he decided to create it. Cocoba first launched as a pop-up kiosk in Brent Cross Shopping Centre in 2012, serving our signature hot chocolates and handmade chocolate treats. The kiosk quickly became so popular that, just over a year later, Darren took the plunge and opened the first Cocoba Chocolate Café in Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent - now a much-loved independent gem renowned for its exceptional hot chocolates and irresistible chocolate desserts. As word went round and the popularity of our cafe grew, and so did our customers' love of our chocolate and hot chocolate products which we were making and decorating by hand behind the counter. We are now in our third and biggest production unit so far, and are happily able to supply our exquisite chocolate and hot chocolate treats to farm shops and delis all over the UK and beyond, as well as some larger retailers, and online via cocobachocolate.com too. As a family-run company with Australian heritage, we are thrilled to have teamed up with Aussie Ark – a committed conservation organisation who are striving to save critically endangered wildlife in Australia and create a long-term future for these threatened species. Great quality

Ordered easter eggs and chocolate bombs for my family on Thursday and it was delivered by Saturday afternoon. All was devoured by Sunday night. Eggs were great and everyone enjoyed them. Kids loved the hot chocolate too. Worth the money for the quality and quick service. Made a nice change compared to the usual supermarket chocolate at easter

Fantastic product and speedy service

Fantastic product and speedy service. I ordered a 2kg egg to surprise my grandchildren on Easter weekend. It has arrived quickly and in perfect condition, and the egg was well protected inside the box. It looks amazing so I look forward to seeing their faces light up when they answer the front door. Terrible experience after £100 egg purchase

I wish I read these reviews first. Ordered a £100 4kg egg and it arrived smashed. I provided pictures of the damaged egg and was then asked to provide more pictures of the egg, the outside of the box, the inside of the box, wait to hear back, if the Cocoba team approve the return I have to fill out more forms with Royal Mail to arrange a collection, and also the tone of the email is very condescending and implies that the customer is to blame for any damage as they package the item with the word, “fragile”. Not sure what fairyland these people live in, but if you think post people pay attention to your tiny label then you need to come back to earth. Learn how to package your items better and spend more time on that than on your responses on these reviews to try and posture publicly and appear to be super helpful, you are not.

We are sorry to learn that your order arrived damaged. We have dispatched over 400 eggs, and despite our efforts, some breakages may occur during transit. Our egg boxes are designed and tested to ensure that they reach you safely, but there are instances where the carriers mishandle the products.

We kindly request you to send us photos of the damaged eggs so that we can report this to the carrier. I can see that you have already done this and we appreciate that. Our customer service team has already processed a replacement order for you, and it will be dispatched today.

Expensive, not worth the money

Ordered the 2kg egg for Easter that cost nearly £50. When it arrived the front of the egg was completely smashed in. This was for a centre piece and also a gift so was ruined. I emailed customer service and 4 days later I still have not heard anything. Definitely not worth the money

Excellent customer service

Not tasted the chocolate as it's for Christmas Gifts, but have had brilliant customer service. One of the items in my order was out of stock. I received an email from Carly in Customer Services within an hour of placing the order to inform me of the missing item and ask if I would like a refund or to replace it with an alternative. I opted for the refund and had recived the notification of the refund from mmy payment provider within two hours.

The refund took my order below the threshold for free delivery, but Carly said they would cover the delivery cost because of the out of stock item.

I was really impressed with the warm, friendly and very efficient customer service. Thank you

Not worth the money…

I am horrified that after buying chocolates (£12) to be sent to a friend in France (paying £25 postage) I have now, 10 days later, been sent a demand for €8 tax by the French Post office! ( Not included in the £25 then! AND Cocoba inform me they do not give refunds
I feel cheated snd disappointed

Visited the cocoba cafe in bluewater as a loyal customer. The manager there… I’m guessing is the man on their website wearing glasses told his staff that they can no longer accept my reusable cup, after visiting about 15 times already. Not sure why as I am saving them money on their paper cups each time and I am not consuming their truffle with my drink as I have allergies despite paying the full £3.85 each time. Really bad management which is a shame as the staff are fine. Won’t be returning!

Firstly, please let us apologise for the bad experience you feel you have encountered in our store. Unfortunately, we are only able to serve drinks in our own cups. We apologise profusely if any staff have done this before for you. However, this is incorrect, and we will be sure to send out a reminder to all staff as they should not be serving the drinks in cups other than Cocoba’s.

We do not allow other cups to be used due to cross-contamination, the chance of damage or swapping of the cup due to the drinks being made in a busy environment.

If you would like to pour your coffee/chocolate into your own cup once this has been served to you, then you can. There is a space next to the sugar condiments in the store. The cup swap can be made in this area (if you wish).

We offer the truffes as a complimentary with hot/cold drinks if the customer wishes.
However, this would not alter the pricing of the coffee, whether the truffle was to be consumed or not. (It’s a little something extra we like to offer to all of our customers with each drink purchased from our menu board.)

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Ordered late November, the order never arrived, I contacted them as the Royal Mail tracking said it will update when a delivery is attempted, they said as I didn’t pay for extra delivery it’s on me, not true, my contract is with them and theirs is with Royal Mail to recover the costs. I’ve contacted them multiple times since but they just ignore me

*Update/reply* my order was placed on the 25th November and dispatched on the 27th and the order number was #142658, to be honest though after the email placing the blame for the item not delivering on my shoulders (not paying extra for delivery) I’m unlikely to buy from you again, I got my charge back from the bank, as no one would reply to my emails

Really lovely chocolate

Ordered some bits for Christmas, they arrived a few days later well packaged. Children loved the hot choc bombes. Shall be buying from you again very soon.

Order takes weeks to come…

Would like to review the products however I ordered them 9 days ago and it still hasn’t arrived. Customer Service just send a link when asked where is my delivery which doesn’t help as it’s the same as I’ve had for 9 days - absolute no help and waste of time sending an email to them. Save your money on these expensive products and choose a more reliable company that cares.

Just Wow to Customer Service & chocolate!

I ordered Easter gifts online for my grandson. My family absolutely adore cocoba chocolate. There was a mistake with my order which I completely understood being the last working day before Easter.
I spoke initially to Louise at head office who was so apologetic but just finishing for the Easter break (it was 5pm), she promised she would get someone to contact me to resolve my issue, which I said was fine. Carly contacted me on ‘Good Friday’ which I was not expecting at all. In 2 emails it was all sorted in a professional but friendly & very efficient manner. Thank you Carly & Louise you have both given me the confidence to place another order in future. Companies don’t do this nowadays so you must be very proud of the standard of customer service you provide. Wonderful Service & even better chocolate 🍫 thank you Jo
