They did not let me cancel my order two…
They did not let me cancel my order two hours after having just placed it. They didn't even start shipping it yet why can't I cancel. The only solution they had to offer was that I return it for a $6 fee
THIS IS THE WORST CLOTHING COMPANY OUT…
THIS IS THE WORST CLOTHING COMPANY OUT THERE. Sassy, non helpful customer service that cancel my order. I ordered on Dec 13th for my wife for Christmas and no one knows where the package is, maybe cause they went the cheap route with a shipping company called Ontrac and the package is no where to be found. Yet no one at Columbia cares or will do anything about it.
Horrible customer service
Bought an item far before Christmas, said it was going to be delivered on the 19th, didn’t show up until Christmas Eve, tracking was not available or working. Right after delivery found out they had put it on sale for 25 percent off, called and asked if they could refund the difference. They wanted me to send the already received gift back and reorder! Otherwise they would only give 10% off a future item and I would have to pay for shipping.. Terrible customer service…..do not order from them.
AVOID (Order delayed, terrible customer service)
My order was severely delayed (7 days+), which meant that I was not able to give it as intended gift (recipient already left the country). No communication from customer service about the delay. And after I reached out proactively to chase, they **RESPONDED AFTER 15 DAYS** to announce that they are 'pleased to see that the order was delivered on 15 Dec' (= several days after the last acceptable date I shared with customer service when I reached out). I usually check trustpilot before ordering online, but thought not needed for Columbia. So wrong! Avoid!
Item was delivered to other unit
Item was delivered to some other apartment in my community and the delivery partner's proof is delivery is very blurry to even make out which it it ended up at. No investigations are done, but just based off the very blurry image the delivery partner took, they closed the investigation and concluded the item is delivered. So, they don't care if they put the package at the right house.
Terrible service
Terrible service, literally ordered something over a month ago and they still can't find the package. I need this for christmas and they keep saying they will try to find it but give me no update... Safe to say I will never be ordering from them again. It's an absolute waste of my money.
I returned my order 24 days ago
I returned my order 24 days ago, but there is still no update. I called last week and they gave me some bullshit story. Will never buy anything from Columbia again.
I have never been more disappointed
I have never been more disappointed! I’ve always loved Columbia products but I’m done buying anything from them after dealing with their lack of customer services. We purchased a coat for my daughter late November for Christmas and their courier, OnTrac says they delivered it on Dec. 11th and we never received it. We have Blink, I was home all day, and we checked with nearby neighbors and no coat! No picture was sent and after dealing with OnTrac and Columbia, still no refund or coat. This is so disappointing, especially a product name I’ve stood by all these years. Never again!
I promise you to AVOID ONLINE
As many reviews suggest, I’ve had an awful experience with this company. Ordered during Black Friday and the order took nearly three weeks to eventually arrive. Despite this, my biggest complaint regards their customer service. One of my items did not arrive and customer service was horrific. Conflicting information from staff, tried to argue it was UPS’ fault, was asked to email three photos over to them, when I asked photos of what, the customer service rep didn’t even know what he wanted a photo of. Was asked to sign a form to launch an investigation, after sending it over I asked a couple of days later if it was sufficient and they said they wanted me to print the document and handwrite the information instead? Super strange customer service, with no resolutions to their mistakes and refund still pending (though I’m sure they’ll think of something else to make up to hinder the process) - worst customer service I have experienced
Nightmare...
I haven't dealt with a company so unethical for a while now...
I made a purchase with them online and one of the products wasn't in stock, but the site wasn't up to date. They charged me for the product and wrote me a mail that they can't ship it. They said they will revert the transaction on my card, but I never received the money back. Instead they charged me with some additional money a few days later!!
Of course, they stopped replying to my mails.
This is straight scamming at this point...
Deceptive shipping
Placed an order with Columbia back on 12/2 with delivery date of 12/12. Delivery was pushed back to 12/13, then 12/14, then 12/16, and so on. OnTrac shows package is in Minneapolis, and has been since 12/14, but lists "weather delays" for Minneapolis since 12/14 and will not provide an updated delivery date. Minnesota has not had weather to cause delays since 12/9 - prior to the "weather impact" alert.
I can only open a ticket with the chatbot at OnTrac. The tracking now shows "Exception" which means, as I assumed from the start, OnTrac has lost the package.
Columbia has been little to no assistance saying it is out of their hands. Choosing a carrier like OnTrack with overwhelmingly negative reviews from customers who frequently report issues like late/lost packages, damaged items, and poor customer service, absolutely makes Columbia responsible.
Columbia has now opened a "ticket" for my package, but is going to make me wait 14 days before declaring it lost and sending me a refund. I want a refund now.
Not only will I no longer do business with Columbia, I will no longer do business with any company that uses OnTrac for delivery/as a carrier.
Order not actioned
Order was delayed so sent online message and received no response. Rang and spoke to someone who said they would chase it. Had a message to say sent to courier but kept checking and it hadn’t been picked up by courier as they had no knowledge of it. I eventually received order after I message, 2 phone calls and 12 days.
Ski Trip Ruined by Columbia’s Poor Service
I purchased a ski suit from Columbia on December 1, 2025. After placing the order, I tracked the shipment and found no clear information. The status repeatedly showed that delivery was being rescheduled or that I was not home—neither of which was true.
I called Columbia twice for clarification and eventually requested a credit because I needed the suit for an upcoming ski trip. It has been 16 days since I placed the order. They refused to issue a credit or send a replacement immediately. Instead, they told me to wait an additional five days for resolution.
This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a retailer. Columbia has always had a strong reputation, but based on this experience, I no longer believe that reputation reflects reality.
Utterly abysmal
Utterly abysmal. Ordered shoes on 5 December. Phoned a few days later to say I needed them by 18th as going away and concerned that because they use UPS and UPS never knock or ring at my property (they ALWAYS leave the parcel on the doorstep, leave, and text to say delivered) that my parcel will be left open to the elements / stolen if delayed. Customer service no help at all - could not (more like 'would not') even contact the warehouse to expedite a solution. Suggested delay because of Black Friday. Other companies seem to manage Black Friday perfectly well. Columbia? Oh, no. They prefer the 'no can do' approach. Just excuses; not meaningful, 'can do' customer service to actually help.
12 December, finally marked as despatched.
16 December, still not even with the UPS courier - still at warehouse awaiting pick up.
So now, no chance of arriving before 18th. Given UPS experience of never ringing to see if you are in, the shoes will be left on doorstep on busy road for two weeks ruined by weather or stolen. I know I will have a problem in the new year trying to arrange a refund for shoes that will likely be marked as "delivered".
Honestly, never ever, ever, ever shop with this company. They deserve to fail. I will certainly be going elsewhere next time. If you do choose to shop here, then be prepared for the abysmal too.
I will never order anything else from Columbia
I will never order anything else from this site. They are a total and complete rip off. I ordered a coat on November 30th 2025 and I haven't received my order yet, nor can I get my money back. I have called several times and spoken with several different representatives who has constantly given me the run around about merchandise, I also.ordered clothes for my son and I haven't received those as of yet. I have wasted my money and my son's money on Columbia I am out of 300.00 or more due to the incompetence and fradulent procedures of this company. The shipping ONTRAC is absolutely horrible, I believe my merchandise was stolen or it hasn't been shipped and Columbia is now trying to cover uts tracks. I signed up of text alerts through ONTRAC and I haven't gotten one alert. I have been trying to be patient with this company, but what they don't is, I have a popular cousin on YouTube with many followers and I have friends who are civil judges and lawyers, becareful who you disregard, because you never know. when you will be blasted across social
media or sued. Bottom line is people work very hard for their money and to be treated this way is a disgrace and shady business practice. Columbia you really need to refocus and reevaluate your business practices. This is complete negligence.
I hope anyone reading this is researching before placing an order, I didn't.
I placed an order for a jacket (not particularly cheap) which seemed like a good deal in the final days of their black Friday promotion.
This was the 1st December. After contacting them, only to be ignored I raised a dispute with PayPal and am currently waiting for their decision.
On the day PayPal informed me that they have contacted them for a response I coincidentally (or not) got a tracking number email from CS. That's not moved from a label being created and awaiting collection on the 12th.
Don't buy their 4/5 business days lies and avoid buying anything if you expect to actually receive your order.
I'm annoyed with myself for not researching the reviews on TrustPilot before placing the order. It looks like they have a history of not sending items and ignoring customers.
2 weeks to receive my order
2 weeks to receive my order. The wait was so long I I found same items on Amazon with a 48 hour delivery. Once I received this order I returned it same day unopend. Return time was 7 days plus 5 more days to get the refund. Customer service can only say one thing "Return times are 7-10 business days". There are many much more efficent on line ways to order the same product with out this nonsense. 1 month to receive and return is no longer acceptable. Columbia come to the new century Dont order direct from Columbia. com
paid £180 for an order and have not…
paid £180 for an order and have not received the goods. Despite contacting customer service, the issue remains unresolved. I was also repeatedly referred to an attachment that I am unable to access, which has not helped move things forward.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers are entitled to receive their goods within a reasonable time or be issued a full refund. Neither has happened in this case.
At the time of writing, the company still has my money and I do not have what I paid for. I have asked for either delivery or a refund and requested that the matter be treated as a formal complaint.
Overall, the lack of communication and failure to resolve a straightforward issue has been extremely disappointing. I would advise others to proceed with caution.
Ordered a coat for the Black Friday…
Ordered a coat for the Black Friday sales. It didn’t arrive on the date it was supposed to which was totally fine. I’m aware about shipping issues around the holidays. But once I did receive the coat it was terrible! It was covered in stains!! Taking it out the packaging I noticed it.. it looked like it was mildew on it. The entire coat was covered in these stains. It looked so bad as if some kind of oil substance was spilled on it. I was in shock. Called customer service.. they refused to send another coat. Only to tell me to refer to the warranty department. Which I did, to only be told that processing takes 4/6 weeks!! Are you kidding me!! I explained how it arrive and that I need another coat immediately due to the state I live in. It’s 20 degrees here.. by the time the warranty is processed and another coat sent it’ll be spring time. They didn’t care . I was told send the coat back for a refund or a replacement after the paperwork is processed. Or I can buy another coat and once everything is sorted out they’ll refund my money for the first coat after they’ve received it back. Honestly I didn’t even want to touch the coat again because I wasn’t sure what was on it to begin with. I was at a lost for words.. why the heck would I spend more money again for a coat when the initial coat came the way it did.. Ridiculous!! I’m not sure if the coat was in a warehouse and that happened from sitting so long or if it was mildew. Either way waste of my money and I’ll never order from this company again.
Unserious way of doing business
I ordered a jacket two weeks ago. It showed as in-stock and ready to dispatch withing 4-5 business days.
Two weeks later, the jacket has not even been dispatched. No email updates, no explanations.
The "customer support" online form is useless, no one replies to it.
Today I managed to get through their call center: the operator confirmed they can see my order, can see my unresponded ticket, told me he would try to get it dispatched today but the "warehouse is very busy".
When I pointed out that they should put a note on the website about the delays, and provide realistic timelines, they replied "we came to the same conclusion".
Overall, a disappointing experience. We will see if and when I receive the jacket. Certainly it is the last order I place with Columbia.
There are other companies for sportswear, no point in sticking with the unserious ones.
