Unwanted Litter
Continues to send me advertisement litter, even after taking my address off their mailing list. Now it just says a different address on it. (They print the same amount for the post office to deliver - talked to them about it)
This has happened over multiple years over multiple locations.
Have to waste my time making sure a bill isn't lost between it's pages every time.

If the mailer does not have your address on it then then USPS should not be delivering to that address as it is not the correct recipient. Each unsubscribe request is specific to each address as we understand that the people living at that address can change and some might want the mailer while others might not. If you would like to email your mailing address to support@retailmenot.com then we would be happy to escalate the issue so that the post office is no longer delivering incorrect mail to you.

Update: The company did "reinstate" my account so I have changed from 1 star to 3 stars. I will wait to see how easy it is to redeem the e-gift card before I change the rating to anything better than average.
I tried RetailMeNot after they were featured on the TODAY show and it was a complete joke. They are not giving you any deals...20% cash back = $0 because they refuse to pay, citing "...aggressive security measures in response to the recent creation of several new accounts." I only created ONE new account. If they meant in general, my question is how did they not anticipate being inundated by the creation of several new accounts when you make a point to be featured on the TODAY show? Perhaps they should rebrand as Brains-In-Our-Heads-Not.
For legitimate savings and excellent customer service use Rakuten. They are always quick to respond to inquiries and actually produce results and pay you!

I have made several attempts to redeem my rewards and have been unable to. I've had to have customer support place the money back to my account after it remained in limbo because it wouldn't go through to my PayPal account. I was told by customer service that my email for PayPal must be incorrect. I contacted PayPal and nothing is wrong with my account. I've been ache to use my account without any issues to send and receive money without issue except for the issue with RetailMeNot! I tried to redeem a gift card and once I hit submit an error screen came up. I am no longer able to see the credit cards available. Again...... Can't redeem!!! I have venmo and it had been active duty 2 years yet it's not an option, even though it's supposed to be on RetailMeNot. I've never had so many issues. I'm glad that I've been using Rakuten because there is never an issue with redeeming my cash back.

RetailMeNot created FAKE coupons codes…
RetailMeNot created FAKE coupons codes for our online store. These coupon codes never existed (in the 15 years I've been with my company). We've had customers who tried using these codes and have been taking it out on our company for "listing false advertising on RetailMeNot". I submitted a case to have all references to our company be removed from their site. Before you attempt to use one of their *FAKE* coupons, check with the actual company to verify the coupons are real.

Any of the offers that say that there is no coupon code needed are Sale Alerts which are promotions hosted directly on the merchant's site. Sometimes these offers can change without notice but you are always welcome to contact us so that we can give you more information about an offer.

They used to honor cash back. My last two online cash back and in-store offers were not paid. I took a picture of receipt IN STORE and submitted it through app immediately. Somehow they claim it was not received. Do yourself a favor and USE EBATES (Rakuten). I have never had a problem getting paid from them. Now comes the generic reply email to contact customer services which has been done multiple times

They changed their policies AUG 2019 and did not notify their users. Retail Me Not decided to no longer store your purchased gift cards in your account's wallet after 100 days. What is the point of the fkng wallet then? Anyways this company is a HUGE SCAM because I purchased a ton of gift cards in May of 2019 and do not have access to use them. No where, in any emails sent and on most of their website does it list this 100 day policy except for two small blurbs in Aug & Sept 2019 where they created these updates.

Total trash. None of these codes work. all this is a click harvesting website they are making money by you clicking the link from their page which lands you on the store page. As they mentioned below these are sales alerts and not coupon codes. These sales may apply only toa certain product but the site manipulates the user into think the code may be used site wide. Total scam in probably 5 years none of these sites have ever had a real code on it.

This is a scam, an total fraud. Retailmenot offers coupons for "free shipping on orders $49+" and "free shipping on orders over $99" from Newark Electronics. But there are NO SUCH OFFERS, according to Newark, and said that there is NO price category of offer that includes free shipping.
They also offer 20% off coupons for Newark, and the company says those are bogus as well.

In looking at the offer "Free Shipping on orders $49+" and 'Free Shipping on orders $99+", these are sale alerts shared to us by Newark Electronics of a promotion that they are hosting on their page. What this means is, that promotion would automatically be applied on your order through their site. If you are not seeing that promotion applied to your purchase, then this could mean that they are not running the promotion at this time and did not inform us that the promotion has ended.
We can also determine that the 20% off code listed on the page was shared to us by a community user. Users and community members post many of the offers listed on RetailMeNot and at times, a user might share a coupon that is incomplete or incorrect. We do everything we can to validate all content that comes in to make sure we have as many coupons available as possible so that we can help you save money when you shop!
We absolutely appreciate your feedback to help keep our store pages clean and up to date. If you find any other offers that do not work for you, please click the 'Thumbs Down' button or leave a comment to let us and other users know about your experience. Scam, Stay away!!
I’ve only used this app for maybe 8-9 months and I’m stopping because there are nothing but problems when related to getting cash back. I will select a cashback offer and it will divert me to the retail site I’m attempting to make a purchase from, I’ll complete the purchase and you would think that would be it. Well in the RMN wallet it will just display as pending, maybe 1/10 of the offers I activate track without me needing to contact customer service via their online form. Well since I have to contact them so much about purchases they now refuse to pay out any pending cash back offers on my account if they aren’t submitted by the buyer automatically. The kicker is they sent a list of steps to follow to ensure the device you are using is primed for their services. Even after following these instructions consistently they still refuse to honor the cash back offer and made the following assertion acknowledged their app doesn’t fully work with all devices: “If you choose to use your mobile device to take part in a cash back offer, be sure that once you click through the activation, you are directed to the merchants website store page, as we do not receive the purchase information if you completed through the merchant’s app. Desktop or laptop is preferred over using an iPad as our site and app do not have full functionality on iPads.” Tell me how it’s not a scam? They get money from retailers to market offers for the customer and in return they get a commission which is supposed to be passed to the customer, but they choose to hold onto it! In corresponding with their support their only option is via email as there is no phone number listed, that’s a tell tale sign of poor customer service when they don’t have a public number.

Our agent was correct, in that we no longer support the RetailMeNot app on iPads or other tablet devices, however you can still participate in cash back offers from the mobile web browser. You will still need to regularly clear your cash and cookies, and immediately complete your purchase in the merchant generated window. Visiting other sites will interfere with RetailMeNot receiving the purchase information and paying out your reward automatically. Majority of our users do receive rewards automatically and manual payouts are intended for one-off cases. With that being said, we would be happy to manually review purchases in the future after we see that you have been able to successfully participate in the cash back program. We do see that you have a recent offer in pending, which is great! We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused, and encourage you to reach out to Customer Care if you have additional questions on how to use our offers.
