Scammer. Rewards to redeem is fake.
Never gone through after multiple tries to redeem (supposedly to Paypal and Paypal doesn't have any record of transaction)
Tried their help link. Of course, broken, doesn't work.

This company is a SCAM! I activated a 7% hotel reward and booked a room, but the activated deal and reward never appeared. I emailed them numerous times, and they kept saying...just wait. So I did. I was NEVER told to save or submit my "booking email" until AFTER 3 months had passed. By then, too late. By design...
Finally after 3 months, I contacted them again and they wanted my BOOKING email from the hotel, which was no longer available in Hotmail after 3 months! Hotel cant provide booking date either, only my stay receipt for $342. RMN owes me $24 and scammed me. I'm done with them! And you cant cash out any amount under $5. Total joke. Don't deal with them!

UPDATE 1:
They finally added Canadian businesses back, but now their system automatically rejects discount codes the moment you try to submit them. Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting.
---
I’m beyond frustrated with RetailMeNot. They have completely ignored my concerns for over two months, and it’s clear at this point that they simply don’t care about their users.
I first reported an issue about being unable to submit coupons for Instacart.ca, and their response was just a series of empty excuses and false promises. Every time I followed up, they said they were “working on it.” That was weeks ago. Nothing has changed. They are blatantly lying—if this were really a priority, it would have been fixed within days.
But now, things are looking even worse. I’ve noticed that Walmart.ca, Amazon.ca, and other Canadian retailers have also disappeared from their site. Users are unable to submit coupons for any website ending in .ca. Is this intentional? Because this no longer seems like just an unresolved technical issue—it looks like a deliberate move against Canadian businesses. Given the ongoing trade tensions between the U.S. and Canada, it’s hard not to wonder if RetailMeNot is silently removing Canadian retailers for political reasons.
Their customer service is a joke. They don’t address real concerns, they give false reassurances, and they show zero respect for the users who contribute to their platform.
To my fellow Canadians—if RetailMeNot isn’t supporting Canadian businesses, then we shouldn’t support them either. At the very least, they owe us a clear explanation instead of brushing off legitimate concerns.
RetailMeNot has shown nothing but dishonesty, incompetence, and total disregard for users. Avoid them at all costs.
🚨👎🏼 Shameful.

I needed to change my email address as I've changed my service provider. After logging in and confirming my current info, I was booted out and have not been able to gain access since. When I click on the "forgot password" link and enter my email address, both new and old, I get a notice that an email reset link was sent however they never arrived. I contacted customer support and was told that their system shows that an email had in fact been sent and to add their email address to my whitelist/allowed senders list. Thinking it may be an issue with Outlook, I then logged in to the email web page to look for the responses. Nothing in either the providers direct web page or the new address (Gmail) page. RTM is refusing to take ownership of this and now I'm stuck with all the cash back money locked in an account I no longer can gain access to and they are either unwilling or flat out refusing to help. Isn't this theft on their part? Isn't that money mine considering I put in the effort to accumulate it through my purchases?

This company is a sham and a scam! I was notified today that my account had been inactive (not true) and they had charged me a maintenance fee!!?? A maintenance fee for what? This is supposed to be a discount site where you earn points to redeem cash and get discounts on merchandise. The site will not let me delete my account! I get a "404 site is inactive" notice every time I try.

I’ve attempted to work with RetailMeNot customer service multiple times, but ultimately they lost my well-earned $104.98. The issue started when I contacted customer service requesting to remove some of my personal information (such as my home address), because I found it associated with my name on the Internet, which I prior paid to have removed from web browsing since I work with inmates, so it’s for my safety. RetailMeNot responded, saying they could not adjust my profile information administratively and I’d need to reset my account; they did not warn me to cash out my balance or that my entire account would be removed and unrecognizable, I.e. The reset didn’t just wipe my profile - the RMN database no longer had an account for me and, consequently my cash back balance was MIA. I contacted RMN customer service asking to reconnect me to my balance, and needless to say they could not find my account either - my $104.98 was gone, non-existent. Of note, there is no human to call - If you call customer service, it tells you to send a message online and they email a response; If you press zero, it says invalid, so you have to have the non-live back-and-forth interaction that often was generic long-winded responses that did not pertain to my issue (as if An auto-response or not reading my message). One agent actually responded asking for relevant proof, and I responded providing receipts of transactions and email confirmations from RetailMeNot of my earned cashback balances. The agent that responded next was another generic unrelated “troubleshooting” response, so I was back to ground zero. I’ve lost count how many back-and-forths I’ve had and how many times I’ve provided proof of earned cash back etc. Essentially, RMN got to sell my data for free and my efforts of shopping through their app went unrewarded.

Had hundreds of dollars in my cash back account due to purchases during holiday season. I normally used ebates/Rakuten, but got tempted by the higher %'s at their site. Lo and behold, I got the "Ineligible due to suspected violation of Terms. Please contact Customer Care if you believe this was in error" message.
I contacted them for a specific reason, but all I got was a repeat of the accusation and link to their TOC. If I did err somehow, then fine, the cash back should be refunded to the vendor. For all those lawyers out there, I'm really curious if RetailMeNot is keeping all the $ for themselves...

I have submitted multiple emails for my payout to update. This company takes our information and doesn’t respond. Once I receive my last payment from them I am done.

Haven’t received cash back on ANY of my purchases for over a year now. It shows they were activated for the correct merchants I purchased from, but they never process and eventually disappear. I find it super shady that their customer service is impossible to get ahold of and there is not a way to dispute errors. At this point, RetailMeNot owes me hundreds of dollars. I think they’re stealing the cash back money and selling our data. I have switched to only using Rakuten now.

I have been using this site for over five years and I used this site alone for all of my Christmas shopping since October 2024. They are trying not to pay me staying I violated terms. In no way did I violate terms. There is no customer service . They don’t respond or look into anything . This site needs to be removed asap. I lost a lot of money where I could have used Ibotta or Rakuten.

It is such a fraud company. I got rewards from the multiple companies during blackfriday and they have added the amount into my account and then finally "Ineligible due to suspected violation of Terms. Please contact Customer Care if you believe this was in error." for all those purchases. When I send the couple of emails they reesponded saying suspicious. I asked them the reasons for the same but they said we feel suspicious we cant say more than that, I requested them to esclate the issue. They said no esclation. I have never seen such a fraud comany.

Update: They reached out in a week and restored my rewards to raising it to a 4, hope for a better user experience moving forward.
Had over $150 in rewards waiting to be paid out, all earned via their site or email offers, and per their T&C, login in today and my account seems to have been randomly flagged like many others and over $156+ in earned rewards (+more pending) wiped out overnight.
Unless they resolve it quickly (opened a ticket but not very hopeful), will stick to ebates/rakuten, a guaranteed lower CB is much better than this shameful behavior from RMN.

Most transactions don't track, even after following their suggestions. They quit paying me cashback when i reported missing tracking. Won't bother with them any more. There's better rebate sites out there that are way less work.

This company seems to be a total scam with non-existent customer service, I have had a horrible experience with this company and cannot recommend it for a cashback. I used their services only a few times throughout in the last 12 months, and they canceled my pending cashback of approximately $20 with status saying "Ineligible due to suspected violation of Terms. Please contact Customer Care if you believe this was in error.". Upon contacting them, I received the following email. I strongly advise avoiding this company for any cashback. I contacted again, received same copy.

I gave them 3 shots to work and I am done with them. I could have used a legit app like rakuten or fetch but they offer highest return… well it’s not true because you never get anything from them. I hope they get sued into oblivion! I signed up as a nee customer for verizon and could have gotten a nice chunk back from rakuten but used them instead well now I got ZERO.

Listen to all the reviews. Scam of a company. Same MO with everyone. They advertise higher cash back % than any other and then when it's time they say something is "suspicious" about your account activity and remove all your cash back. Learn from other people's mistakes and don't waste your time.
I've submitted a report to the FTC, perhaps if enough people do something will change.

I have been using RetailMeNot since 2019 and it was a great service for a while. I never had problems with transactions not credited until recently. I activated an offer for 14% with Viator and made a purchase. After the 45-days, the order never showed as pending so I contacted customer service and got a generic response over a week later. I responded and after over another week, they responded again saying I should see the credit on 5/4/25!!! I purchased a nonrefundable item so I should have received the funds after the first 45-days. I'm taking the $49.30 rebate I was supposed to receive as a loss since I doubt I will ever see it and trying to communicate with customer service is a slow ordeal. Once 5/4/25 rolls around and the credit doesn't hit my account it will have been over 10-months since my original purchase so I'm sure all information will be lost, and I will have no recourse. I cashed out the balance in my account and I think I will move on to other shopping portals.

On their website they claim a % for cashback, and do not show any caps or limits on their page or app. When you click the link to activate there is sometimes an "up to $50" limit shown but no other mention of any transaction limit.
Only after being scammed out of cashback did I learn that there are monthly transaction limits.
BEWARE

On their website they claim a % for cashback, and do not show any caps or limits on their page or app. When you click the link to activate there are also no caps or limits shown. Only after they do not give you your full cashback do they claim there was a limit, which they have deceived you into keeping. I will never ever use them again and look at reporting them to official agencies for not operating in good faith and for their deceptive practices.
To reply to Retailmenot: there is no place to click on offer details in your app. I have provided screenshots. Retailmenot provides zero transparency on these limits and that is why their rating is so poor on this site across the board.
