The best computer I have ever had would buy another from them again when this one get a bit old.

I'm giving Component Warehouse five stars not despite having a problem with the PC I purchased from them but because I had a problem and they fixed it entirely to my satisfaction and with the absolute minimum on pain on my part. I bought from Component Warehouse because they were cheaper and more flexible that Dell, HP etc., – so I was quite surprised when the service and aftersales service were immeasurably better also.

I run a small business and have some very high-end computers at home and in the office. This purchase was unusual because I wanted an very basic PC for a specific task – but I'm not very fond of 'basic' and so wanted something that was 'no frills' but also quite 'high spec'.

I came across the brand on eBay, and from there looked at their own site. It offered a range of off-the-shelf PC builds, grouped conveniently into different price ranges and specifications. It also offered a large degree of flexibility to mix and match to build the exact PC that you wanted, with or without whistles and bells.

Having sent an email and received a swift, clear reply, I eventually opted to purchase via the eBay shop as the prices were cheaper – though I was still able to request some mods different to the standard spec. The PC was delivered by courier at a time of my convenience.

As expected at the low price-point, the build uses generic components but everything is firmly installed and tidied away (I've seen much worse from mainstream sellers). My machine had its power supply fail within a fortnight. Obviously not something that I found thrilling but, then again, not unknown. Component Warehouse dealt with my email immediately and offered me range of options for repair. Rather than send the machine back to base I opted to take delivery of a new PS and fit it myself. I had the part the next morning, and was up-and-running again within 24 hours of the original fault. That's my kind of warranty – no automated system or hoops to jump through, just a conversation that doesn't assume you're an imbecile…

I've had the machine for three months now and have had no further problems. If I need another PC, I'll go back to them.
