Customers frequently reported difficulties in contacting the company, often experiencing long wait times, dropped calls, and issues reaching a human representative. The website was also a common source of frustration, with users encountering problems with online logins and finding it difficult to navigate or access necessary information. Avoid. A redundant system that cost me a decades worth of returns

Just avoid. I was granted a small holding with them a decade ago and the initial faff was so bad I just left it to accumulate.

Finally gave them a chance this year, adding my first cash investment... following their rules and their process.... they not only failed to accept the funds but promptly charged me fees more than the previous decades returns COMBINED. This for a task any mobile investment app would manage with ease.

The only positives are thatI never trusted them with any significant amounts of money... and they still keep trying to resend a cheque for a few cents to clear the final balance.... will let them keep coming... hopefully it will cost them as much as they cost me.

Got to be the worst platform ive ever…

Got to be the worst platform ive ever used. I inherited some shares that are sitting on here. Slow, useless customer service, nothing works properly, they have lost my money. Cant sell shares (the number 1 thing you would expect to be able to do). Absolutely dismal platform.

Customer service seem to blame you and talk to you like your an idiot. God forbid I expect to be able to sell shares using my own bank account details - they tell me the bank details arent mine despite the fact I have sold shares and deposited funds there many times with them. Update bank details is going to take 10 days....

Avoid avoid avoid. Rip off high fees as well. Just use Trading 212 or one of the other platforms. Much easier, instant and no fees.

I wanted to sell my shares

I wanted to sell my shares, but the entire process turned into a nightmare. As a resident of Belgium, I was not allowed to sell my shares online, which already made the procedure unnecessarily complicated. Instead, I had to download and send forms by post. Weeks later, I was informed that actually a different form was required. After sending that as well, I was then told they also needed proof of identity and address — something that could and should have been requested from the start.

Customer service was completely unhelpful. Every time I called, they were unable to assist or provide any concrete information. Eventually, my shares were sold in December 2025, but to this day I still have not received the payment. When I contact them now, they claim they cannot even find my reference number in their system.

At this point, the only option left seems to be contacting the Financial Ombudsman Service. An extremely frustrating, slow, and poorly managed process. I would strongly advise others to think twice before using this service.

Computershare are abysmal

Computershare are abysmal. They knowingly let me transact shares using a bank (Chase) that they can't wire transfer to. Having tried twice they subsequently charged me $550 for failed attempts.
They are horrific. Avoid at all costs.

This company is making retrieving my…

This company is making retrieving my shares nearly impossible. I have had the shares turned over to the state as lost property and finally recovered them from the state . Now computershare is making it nearly impossible to transfer to my broker, they won't let me access the account online, they won't resolve the issue over the chat, they keep saying another dedicated team is responsible for it ect. They don't send email They want to send paper Mail in 15 business days . They ask for government ID to identify me, faster they receive it they say now you will receive a code in the mail in 15 days and then guy try again to access your account . It's a nightmare to deal with this company, it's like pulling teeth.

Unilever Shares & Magnum Ice Cream company

I had a query regarding my Unilever shares. I had received a letter UL stating that they had been through a condsolidation process and that my UL shares had been reduced by 43 ordinary shares.

I called Computershare on 31st Dec and spoke to Siddhi. I think she is based in Bristol. She explained that I now have shares in the Magnum Ice Cream company. I said that I had received no correspondence from Magnum. Siddhi took time out to explain to me what had happened re the demerger from ULand promised that she would get the information from Magnum in the post to me ASAP, plus an email with confirmation of my email update.

Siddhi's customer service was excellent and I wanted to let Computershare aware of this.

Thank you Siddhi

Dreadful experience

Dreadful experience.
Sold shares, and the sent in the sale authority form. Had confirmation this had been received in time, and then received a letter saying it was late arriving so the share sale was cancelled and I was charged £300+ for the inconvenience. Reality is that the form was sent 10 days ahead of the deadline (7 working days post sale instruction), but not actioned in time.
I now have to repeat the process and can't get through to them to confirm the new form has been received (on a Royal Mail g/t delivery). Service is terrible.

Trying to sell several shares they had lost in their mixed up information. Don't waste your time/money!

My sons had several shares lost in a fire and retrieving them was made nearly impossible. Though custodian and owner myself, several hoops have been jumped through so far without results. I mean to sell them for use in their lives, but beware that is made so difficult it almost is not worth the days of calls/certified letters/etc that they make you perform. No follow up at all.

Masters of the slow role…

These fellows are masters of the slow role. Questions are asked and answered. After long delays new questions, which should have been asked the first time, are asked and, again, weeks go by before one receives a response which, you guessed it, asks more questions. This is more than incompetence... borders on larceny. My wife has now waited six months for two stock dividend checks sent to changed addresses. Avoid doing business with these people if you can.

Small Payment Query Answered with Help from Siddhi

I called to query a small payment I had received which I learned from Siddhi was the payment for the spin-off of the Ben and Jerry’s brand from Unilever into the Magnum Ice Cream Company.
Siddhi handled my call with excellent customer service skills and I found her very pleasant to deal with.

Sellers Beware. Always a delay

Awful. .. ****BEWARE*****
If you hold Shares with this lot, get them them out asap.
1. Don’t expect to be able to go online and immediately sell your shares.
2. Each share transaction is dealt with separately….
3. So…
Once I was able to get through security and access my account I then went to ‘sell’ I entered all information and bank details for the sale. Then sell shares.
Refused as verification needed. This took 7 days. I had to wait for an email, login again and complete the transaction.
4. So, having experienced other issues and delays I decided to sell my other shares held in my account.
5. I again had to enter my bank details ( same bank,) and my NI number again. No problem. Went ahead with the sale.
No I didn’t. I was again informed that a verification check was required. This
Will take another 5 working days!
My current national broker (Hargreaves Lansdown) have none of delays.
6. There can be no justification in completing a separate 5 day delay completing a verification check, when they have within days completed the identical check, on the same person, with the same details on the same account.
PS call centre staff were polite and
Helpful. And have obviously had the same complaints before.

Outdated system

Outdated system . With each call I received conflicting information about selling shares. The transfer process is cumbersome. There’s long waits to speak with a representative and dropped calls.
In the end, a check for a large sum of money was placed on regular snail mail with no tracking which I find irresponsible.

No interest in fraud or wrong account details

Yesterday I received a letter from Computershare to my home address with someone else's name on it. I am the second owner of this property and no one of the name used has every lived here.

The letter contained a code to allow the person registering with the service to access their online account.

I called the phone number, not only because the letter even says to call up to report if a letter has been received in error, but also because common sense dictates this is either someone fraudulently using my address or someone has made a mistake.

When I finally got past the pointlessly inaccurate voice recognition system and spoke to a person from the company, despite giving them all of the information I was asked to post the letter back to them (at my time and expense), as they were unwilling to take the time over the phone to take the details and deal with it accordingly.

As I pointed out to the lady I spoke to, my obligations with this letter ended at ripping it up and putting it into the bin, and I had gone above and beyond that to either draw their attention to fraud or a customer who has accidentally given incorrect details.

You would think in either circumstance they would want to deal with this ASAP, but no. Absolutely zero interest in doing so, and the onus is put on me to return the letter, which I will not.

If that's the sort of company you want to trust with anything then more fool you.

Just incompetence

Just incompetence. Don’t’ get shares through them it’s not worth the drama. I have been trying to sort out a deceased estate for months now and the number of forms you have to fill in is ridiculous, only to be told they weren’t filled in properly. The lawyers tried to deal with the deceased estate only to wait months for replies and did not accept anything that was posted to them. My sister-in-law tried to sort out the deceased estate and again got messed around with no replies and hard to understand form.
So, it’s now my turn and the number of times I have had to ring them to only get told something different over the phone of what info you need to send to them and what forms to fill in. Plus, they won’t accept any certified forms over email, so you must post everything. It’s a waste of time and effort. Then they weren’t happy with a certified Stat Dec by a JP, so they rejected the forms and have apparently sent all the original forms back to me, but they haven’t shown up in the post as they only sent it by regular mail. I’ve rang and they say nothing can be done you need to fill the forms in again or ring Australia Post but there is no tracking number as they sent it back by regular mail and it’s been over 4 weeks now. It’s a complete joke of any organisation and now I must do all the original forms again and waste more time and effort and get another stat dec done but this time on their stat dec form and get it certified by a JP and post them into them again. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE UTTERLY HOPELESS. They are not user friendly, the amount of red tape you need to jump through its FRUSTRATING and they don’t use email for anything which is dumb in this day and age!!

UNETHICAL SHYSTERS

Been trying to sell stock for five months for an estate that I am the Executor of. EACH TIME I submit paperwork after following specific instructions, it is rejected and they demand something additional, new and different. EVERY PHONE call I receive different information regarding procedure, timeframes, process, etc. You are absolutely the worst bunch of unethical shysters.
