Consumerbags.com is nothing but a scam. Stay away.

I received an e-mail from Groupon. In it, there was a banner titled "Here Are 29 of the Coolest Gifts for This 2025." When I clicked I was taken to Consumerbags.com.

Among the 29 coolest gifts, I saw a mug that looks like a stack of books. A great gift for an avid reader, or so I thought.

After a bit of research, it turns out it is a scam. The photo is AI. The actual product looks nothing like the photo. Everyone who purchased it was disappointed.

What Consumerbags says about the products on the list: "Overwhelmed by shopping insanity? Our editorial team has got you covered! We have done all the hard work for you and handpicked 2025's unique, exciting and best selling gadget gifts. They are all about creating memories and putting smiles on faces."

1 - This is misleading. These products are not unique. They are not exciting. They are not best-selling.

2 - The list of 29 items actually contains 124 items. Why? Best guess.. "Here Are 29 of the Coolest Gifts" sounds better and is designed to lure you in. Once they have your attention, they bombard you with well over 100 items.

3 - Want to contact them? Good luck. Their contact page (/contact) has an e-mail address and that's it. No physical address. No phone number.

My opinion? Whoever is behind this should be ashamed of themselves. They should take the site down and quit trying to scam people. Simple as that.
