Contact lenses arrived very quickly and everything is ok with them. :) I didn't have any problems with contacting the company either. I will definitely come back to this online store in the future.

Contact for lenses a complete scam

I wrote a review about this company in 2012. Unfortunately Trust Pilot deleted the review because it was reported by the company. It is a shame because hundreds if not thousands of people may not have lost their money. Anyway I will repost my original review below because I believe it should never have been removed.
NOT RECOMMENDED...AT ALL!
I have recently had dealings with this company. I have found that they have various websites:
contactforlenses.com
brandedshades.com
brandedglassesdirect.com
bettereyesite.com
lensplanet.com
professionalglasses.com
boostq.com
specspeople.com

I ordered lenses from the site contactforlenses.com however did not receive dispatch notification. I emailed them and they told me that the lenses were on back order and that they would email me when the lenses were available. What good was that to me, when you need lenses you need them almost right away. I cancelled the order and received an email that the lenses would be dispatched shortly, however I had already bought again from my regular supplier, so emailed back to tell them to cancel.

A few days later and a few emails to them later I eventually got the cancellation email and was told that the refund would be in my account within 2-3 working days. Well it didn't arrive so I called them, some guy with an Asian accent answered and told me that the money would be in my account within 2-3 working days, I argued that I had already been told that 4 days ago but the money wasn't in my account. He just reiterated that it would be in my account shortly. I asked them for their company registration number in Jersey however he told me that he was not allowed to give that information to me. ???### I told him that is what a company registration number was for, so that people could check out businesses however, he was adamant that I would not get the number. This made me more suspicious, so did a little research and found the company operating from a defunct PO Box, noticed that they have 10 websites selling lenses, glasses and sun glasses, I also noticed that they go use various pseudonyms. Names I have come up with in this organisation are: Andrew Miller, Sarah, Kelvin Carter, Arun, Himanshu and Sunil.

Each one of their domain names have been registered by proxy by Go Daddy, which means the real registrants name is hidden. They use a server for all of their sites mentioned above, hosted by oriensoft.com based in India.

I emailed contactforlenses again with all of my findings and copied them in on an email that I sent to their webhost: samiratoriensoft.com and another that I sent to Jersey trading Standards. Two hours after I sent those emails, I received an email from "Sarah" from contactforlenses notifying me that they had made the refund.

Success, I received the refund today, 1 month after I initially give them my money, however I am convinced that I would not have received anything back from them If I had not aggressively pursued them in the manner I did.

I would advise strongly about paying money to any of the websites named above, and in future just beware who you buy from on the internet. First make sure they have an address and not a PO Box number, you can check the address on Google to see what telephone numbers are attached to it. Make sure the have a Geographical number, not 08, 03 or mobile numbers. go and check the domain on domaintools, if it comes up that there is no registrant details, don't buy from it. Lastly call the number on the website before you make a purchase to ensure there is a real person behind the business, if there is no phone number available then you don't want to be dealing with them.

NO Doubt the people behind the sites mentioned above will continue registering domains and putting up websites, therefore Don't get caught out by them again, Check before you buy.

I too got caught with this company too

I too got caught with this company, who said that they were short of my lenses in Dec 2017. Previously I have successfully ordered from them for 2 years with no issues.
I cancelled the order, and they said they would refund my credit card. Needless to say after many emails and excuses, I contacted my credit card company MBNA. They refunded me all my money and took it up subsequently with the scammers contactforlenses.com. I see now that the website does not work, so I guess they have been shut down finally.. If they ever come back please DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING from them.

Criminals

I ordered contacts from them on March 15th. The first red flag was the lack of a confirmation email, receipt, any kind of acknowledgement of my order (although they promptly billed me the $64). I heard nothing, and after two weeks I emailed them only to get a reply from lensplanet.com - which is owned by the same people, apparently, but which made it easier for them to cover their tracks - claiming the lenses were delayed and would arrive within 10 business days.

I gave them plenty of time. In fact, I forgot about them for a while, and finally emailed them in May demanding a refund. No reply at all this time, although google seems to indicate they're going out of business. I've disputed the transaction with my bank. These people are nothing but criminals.

A scam: Do not used them

I used the company for many years.. and worked well.
However, since December 2017 became a scam. They don't deliver their order and they don't send the money back.

I ordered lenses back in Jan18 and they didn't dispatch after 3 weeks so I cancelled the order. It is now the end of May18 and I still have not received my refund after 15+ emails back and forth. They keep saying the refund will be made in 1-2 working days, then 3-5 working days, the 10-15 days. Still no refund.

Don't order from these people!

I ordered lenses from these con artists recently. The money was immediately taken from my credit card and I then received an email saying they were having trouble getting stock from their suppliers and were unable to give a delivery date. I cancelled the order and demanded an immediate refund which was promised within 3-5 days. It hasn't materialised over two week later and my credit card company are now looking into the issue on my instruction.

This is what you can do to have your money refunded.

This company used to be okay in the past (till last year). It's history. They are totally scammers now.

Guys, this is what you have to do to have your money refunded:
1. They don't send any order you paid for. Send an email or two to them, they never reply your complaint. Fine. Save the email(s) as evidence if needed.
2. So call the bank, you made the purchase with. (meaning the one you have the debit/credit card you used for that transaction).
3. Raise a dispute against that website/company with your bank. Provide all details they need.
4. The bank will process the investigation.
5. Call again the bank, usually after 15 days from the date of the purchase.
6. They (the bank) will refund your money and does all necessary against the disgraceful company.

The more of you go against them, the sooner they wont't receive any more order and no bank will deal with them. Don't let your money lost.

MASSIVE CON

MASSIVE CON. GO ELSEWHERE!

Seems I’m in the same boat as pretty much everyone else on here. Had used them a few times and everything fine. Last time was horrendous. Ordered lenses at the end of December. Requested a refund in mid-January - no reply until a second email at the end of January where I was promised a refund in 3-5 working days. Nothing received to date despite repeated chasing. Time to make their name mud on social media!

SCAM! DO NOT USE!

I wish I read the reviews before I ordered. Exactly the same experience as other reviewers. Ordered my lenses 6 weeks ago, never delivered. Then asked for refund and still waiting for it.
I will be reporting them to the trading standards if they don't return my money.
This site should be taken down. They don't even deserve one star.

Further to my last review, after reporting them to trading standards they refunded my money.
I'll never use this company again.

Order NOT delivered

I used this company in the past without incidents. However, my last order, placed on January 25th (£63.96), was not delivered and the payment never refunded.

I have been trying to contact them but they are not replying to my emails.

What can I do?
