The pricing is very confusing. It says "£price" Underneath it will have a lower price showing what it is minus VAT "£price exc. VAT", which when you do the calculation, is the price minus VAT. So the higher price shown includes VAT. When you add to the basket, it adds more VAT to the higher price. The pricing is very inconsistent. Why put two prices, with one saying excluding VAT, when you calculate VAT again at the checkout for the higher price? I was paying VAT twice so I didn't buy from this website.

We bought a presidium gem tester for £239. Its a very poor device, only really accurate on glass or diamonds. All the other stones its rubbish. We have calibrated it many times under their instruction, still no good, very inacurate, Cooksongold are no help, the machine is not worth the money. Very dissapointed. Trading standards next? As cookson refuse to replace or refund.

The purchase price on the day is never the same price (always higher) after they dispatch, which I believe is a con. They seem to think they are above the law by charging a different amounts any time they want.
If I paid on the day for that gold price, I expect to be charged that amount and not the next days gold prices.
Bellore has never charges me differently.
The only reason I'm buying from Cookson is variety.

My go to website for my jewellery supplies. Customer service have always been helpful when I’ve called them to Ask questions. Fair prices and quality items.
Terrible company - They took my money for an order, but because they lost / can't find my order which I placed A MONTH ago.... They REFUSE to issue a refund or resend the stock.
Their customer service is just awful. They say they'll reply to messages and they don't.
They promise "tomorrow" and there's no action.
Poor show from Cooksongold, they don't have a complaints procedure on their website... so if you have an issue with their customer service... you can complaint to that same customer service and get absolutely nowhere.
I've lost many customers due to this company.
I've lost money due to this company.. both from my order and custom.
I've wasted several hours due to this company.
Shout out to Ann Marie and Pennie at Cooksongold
Order ID is IO2496474 if anyone at Cooksongold cares... just give me my money back please!!!
3 weeks after ordering, from the UK to Ireland and still no package and they refuse to give a refund or resend the order.
I contacted their customer service 2 weeks ago to inform them that their courier said this was being returned to cookongold. They still haven't received this nor updated as to why this happened.
They said that they would issue a refund when they receive this back from the courier... but 2 weeks later and I'm still without the money or order.
I need those funds to be able to place a repeat order to get this shipped.... this is creating delays for me to be able to ship orders.
I think that Brexit just ruined this company sadly

Was looking online for Dremel tools. Came across this company that had all I wanted in stock. Had some trouble with ordering on their website. Rang them up on Saturday afternoon and spoke to a very helpful lady who dealt with my order, saying it would despatched on Monday. It arrived at 8.55 Tuesday morning by Royal Mail.
Great speedy service, accurate order and well packaged.
I have used them a few times now and love the place, so many shinny things :)
I always pay for the next day delivery, it's a bit expensive but does always turn up and is always correct. Bit of an excessive use of plastic bags, at least most of them are labelled as biodegradable.
Shopping in store is always insanely slow and the website is even worse- you spend ages making a basket and then it gets overwritten. It's the most frustrating thing. Even if you save a basket it is not possible to restore it. Tried phoning customer support and the only thing they could do was process the order and hope for the best (I had been adding mops to the basket as a way to save them to look more) now I guess I'll just have to return anything unwanted really stupid system that I've been complaining about for a year and still nothing done- maybe a review can make them sort it!

I ordered A LOT of products from them. The delivery was fast which is great. However i do not understand why you keep sold out items on your website for people to purchase when they are not in stock anymore? I’m still waiting for an item to arrive.
Haha, buyer beware, when it looks to good to be true it usually is, bought what I thought were earrings - because they usually come as a pair, but on receiving just one the website absolutely states earring. Well more fool me. Of course 'it' cant be sent back. You live and you learn.
It did come very quickly though!
The bolt clasps on all three chains I bought had all broken within 2 and a half years. Poor quality.

Strange company. I ordered a £200 chain yesterday. They invoiced me and I immediately paid via Paypal. They contacted me later to say they couldn't access the payment - it had left my account. Then I discover they were billing me for £3 more than the invoice - because the chain was heavier than listed. I cancelled the order and went back in. The chain is still listed at £200 - not £203. So it just appears they are gouging customers after ordering.
Which for £3 seems a particularly stupid business practice and it just pisses people off.

Absolutely reliable, very quick delivery and great packing. I do recommend this website if you would love to save money. Thanks Cooksongold!
Always excellent products and excellent customer service from Cooksongold!

Thank you Cooksongold for all of your help with our orders and we will continue to use you every time!
Edit: after using them more I have found them to be reliable.

I have made four or five orders from cookson Gold.
They always deliver promptly and everything has been fine.
I did order an item that was not in stock. I contacted customer service after a couple of weeks to ask. They sorted it out and I got the item at the price I ordered it for which was sale price.
Great range of tools, metals, gems etc
Note Cookson Gold did not take money for that delayed item until they dispatched it, so I'm not sure re the content of some of the negative complaints.
Also re another negative review of course silver needs cleaned! There are a number of products available to protect the silver on sale with Cookson Gold. :) I have bought one of them and am quite happy with it.

I have a mixed opinion about this store. If you order an item that is listed 'In stock' then you shouldn't have a problem. I have order from this store a few time and the items that were listed 'In stock' are great and arrive within the week. However, I have ordered a few items that were listed as 'Expected'. 2 months on and they still haven't arrived. I have checked my order receipt and it is still listed as 'Awaiting preparation'. I have contacted the company via email a couple of time asking when I should expect these items to arrive; with no response. I really don't understand why the 'Expected' option exists. Its misleading to us, your customers and I believe you would have a much better customer experience without it. Being a new, small business, I have already lost valued customers as they have given up waiting. There's nothing more frustrating than receiving a bad review about something you can not control. I will still use you as a supplier, only buying items listed as 'In Stock'. However, I would like to be refunded for the items that have not arrived. I have found an alternation supplier for those items and no longer need them from you.
Thank you

I have been waiting over 5 months for them to deliver an outstanding item. Response from Cooksongold is that it is not in stock. Why then is the item is still available on their website to sell to other unsuspecting customers?
