Absolutely the worst company of any kind I've dealt with. Their web site is terrible, and if you call them up you are placed on hold for an eternity. If you get through to someone, they can't help... See more

I have spent over a year trying to rollover the money in a Corebridge Financial account into a Roth IRA. It still hasn't happened.
I filled out countless forms and talked to zounds of representatives. At this point they don't even tell me what I did wrong—they just don't roll over my money.
Key words here being "My. Money." It's not theirs.
I never write reviews, especially negative ones, but this company should seriously be investigated. They are truly an awful institution.

this app has the most awful customer service ever and they are just thieves. they use delay tactics, long hour call holds and never call back or let you speak to a supervisor. every monthly withdrawal is completely frozen because nobody can answer a single basic question. dont ever trust them. if a standard system like #Market#Integrity# can run simple sends so users can move money, there is zero database excuse for this company to block my transfers and ignore my help requests.

We have been dealing with Corebridge Financial for over a year on a deceased beneficiary claim, and it has been an endless runaround from start to finish.
It honestly feels like the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. We have spent months submitting the same documents over and over, only to receive new requests for documents that had already been provided. Most recently, they requested an affidavit that wasn't even necessary because they confused which sibling was the executor of the estate.
Communication is another major issue. They rarely provide updates, so it's entirely up to you to keep calling to find out what's happening. Even then, the information you receive depends on which representative you speak with, as they don't appear to be trained consistently.
After our latest call, we're hoping everything has finally been clarified and the claim can be completed. Unfortunately, after more than a year of delays, repeated mistakes, and poor communication, I don't have much confidence that this will actually be the end of it.
If you're considering doing business with Corebridge Financial, be prepared for an unnecessarily frustrating and exhausting claims process.

My grandmother passed away 9/11/2025. We started the process to obtain a date of death statement (needed for estate return) and a 1099 (to file 2025 taxes) 9/25/2025. We keep getting the run around - feels like a hamster wheel nightmare. Now we’ve had to file extensions for both tax returns. Again we aren’t even trying to take the money out. Just trying to get paperwork or access. Now we’ve spent countless money using our estate lawyer to help process to no avail. As well as penalties on taxes for delay. Do NOT use this company.

If you have money with this company that you wish your beneficiaries to receive PLEASE set up a separate account to which your beneficiaries can actually have access.
This company will take months to pay out accounts to death beneficiaries, and in the meantime your loved ones who are dealing with loss and mourning will get the pleasure of hours long phone calls going in circles and providing and re-providing the same information.
Make sure your beneficiaries know the date you opened the account.
The amount of information that has been requested is mind boggling and you have to call every day or every other day to check on the status because no one will contact you if there is a problem with your paperwork.
At this rate the beneficiary will need a beneficiary because it feels like this account is never going to pay out.
Why do beneficiaries need to provide both eft information and also a voided check? What is the purpose of requiring a voided check?
Why do they need to provide this information both with the death paperwork and AGAIN when requesting the payout? Why does is require being on the phone for hours to find out this information is needed?
Maybe the company can answer here because no customer service reps seem to know the answer.
The website and technology really needs to be updated so the process is not so cumbersome and dependent on waiting on hold on the phone for hours on end.
But that would involve people actually getting their money so I suppose the company has no interest in that.
(The “date of experience” field for this review is laughable, it needs a whole range to cover the months of phone calls, paperwork mailed, faxed and emailed)

Horrendous customer service. No one can do the simplest tasks or answer questions. Over 10 business days to receive requested info for adding one line to a previous request. After six weeks of dealing with them on the same policies, I think it would be more beneficial for me to just bang my head on a wall. It would probably hurt less than dealing with Corebridge.

This is the absolute worst company to deal with. My father had an annuity and he passed in 2024. It's now 2026 and we're nowhere in getting it distributed. Customer service seems to all clearly VAs that have no idea what's going on and continue to waste your time. Beyond frustrating that you cannot resolve for almost 2 years. Estate 90% resolved in 90 days except for this headache. THE WORST SERVICE OF ANY COMPANY I have ever dealt with.

When I contacted Corebridge, I was informed that the duplicate premium charge had been cancelled in their system. However, despite this statement, my bank records show that I was charged twice for the same premium in the same month and no refund has been issued.

My mother passed away, and my siblings and I submitted death claims on April 29. There are eight beneficiaries designated under the claim. Nevertheless, on April 30, Corebridge disbursed the full claim amount to only two of the eight beneficiaries. We first notified Corebridge of this error on May 3 and were incorrectly advised that all beneficiaries had been paid. I subsequently contacted the agent who established my mother’s annuity with Corebridge. He confirmed that there are eight beneficiaries and contacted Corebridge on our behalf. He worked with Don Mendoza, at which point Corebridge initiated an investigation into the matter. On May 22, the agent was informed by Shyra at Corebridge that Corebridge’s legal department had concluded that the claim had been improperly paid to only two beneficiaries, despite the existence of eight lawful beneficiaries. In a voicemail, Shyra further stated that Corebridge would contact the two individuals who had received the funds in error, recover those funds, and redistribute the proceeds equally among all eight beneficiaries. I have retained that voicemail; however, the telephone number provided by Shyra, 818-251-4967, is not in service or otherwise nonfunctional. I have also placed multiple calls to Don Mendoza and left several messages, none of which have been returned. Corebridge’s failure to timely correct this acknowledged error is deeply concerning and unacceptable. To date, my sisters have not been contacted regarding the return of the funds they received in error. Moreover, when we contact Corebridge at 800-445-7862, I am informed that I am not a beneficiary and therefore cannot obtain information regarding the claim. In addition, the two beneficiaries that received the payout have each contacted Corebridge seeking instructions for returning the funds, yet both were advised that their payments had been processed correctly. This matter has remained unresolved since April 29, and the continued lack of response and professionalism by Corebridge has caused significant frustration and concern. I respectfully request immediate contact and prompt resolution of this matter. A case number was originally assigned, then closed and subsequently reopened: 00250803. I possess the beneficiary documents completed by my mother and filed with Corebridge, which clearly identify all eight beneficiaries and provide that the proceeds are to be distributed equally among them. The agent also has copies of these documents and has made every reasonable effort to assist in resolving this issue. We respectfully request that Corebridge take immediate action to correct this improper disbursement and bring this matter to a lawful resolution.

My mother passed in Jan 2026 and I submitted Corebridge Financial's required documents on March 12, 2026 and the information they indicate is not received, I provided via email and twice verbally over the phone, including today 6/2/26. This company is stalling to prevent payout of my mother's earned money. At every point in this process, I have had to reach out to Corebridge to obtain status. At no point, have they emailed, called or sent a letter to notify me of the progress of the claim. On most occasions, I have escalated to supervisor and they assure they will resolve w/in a couple of days. I never receive a call or reply to my inquiry.
They are purposely withholding my mother's money. All of these reviews are correct. Please do NOT place your money w/Corebridge Financial.
