It was a pleasure dealing with Mr Nascimento

It was a pleasure dealing with Mr. Joao Nascimento (account exec) making arrangements for a last minute trip. Joao was pleasant, thorough, and so very helpful. The pilots were courteous, knowledgeable, and pleasant. The flight was smooth and on time for departure and arrival. We look forward to working with Monarch in the future. Alice Selman

I purchased a Mini Aqua Water Softener…

I purchased a Mini Aqua Water Softener in January 2021
The unit has worked well and I am pleased however
A month after purchase I registered the unit then spoke to a Service Person to enquire about extending the guarantee
I was told the Warranties are 7/2 which are 2 years and 7 year parts,what should have been made clearer is that if I had wanted to extend the (labour) part of the guarantee then I should have done this within a few weeks
This was not made clear, I have the email from the service person but no mention of extending the labour guarantee today I was told it us too late
Call outs I was told today are around £125 + vat
So Monarch whilst the unit is working well my experience today has only given you 3*
May I suggest that as most goods are purchased on line that once the unit has been registered the company contact the customer to enquire about extending the Labour guarantee

My recent holiday tour of west coast of…

My recent holiday tour of west coast of USA was cancelled due to the virus. Cosmos cancelled well in advance. I have been refunded in full within ten days of the cancellation. Having heard on how other people who have had their holidays cancelled and are having problems getting refunds cosmos must be congratulated on their no nonsense refund policy. Well done Cosmos. Will rebook with you when everything returns to normal.

Warning

Warning, do not book extension with this company.

They have swindled 1100 USD from me for a train ride Madrid to Barcelona, 3 nights accommodation and to tell us we have to do all site seeing by ourselves. And was only told as I asked who was going to be our guide. Answer NO ONE.

We have just done some calculations and it should only be around 900USD.

This is disgraceful and simply stealing hard earned money from travelers

Extremely Sad...

Extremely Sad...
Flew with Monarch on Saturday and enjoyed the experience. In light of the news this morning, I'm extremely sad for all the staff & their families, who are now without a job.

Nice staff, on time, good value

Both ways arrived early. The captain on return communicated often which I liked as it puts you at ease. Staff were friendly. Easy to check in. Only downside are the in flight prices and food availability. On return barely anything was available. Prices are a bit OTT!!! £4.50 for a sandwich!

Dont book a flight with monarch …

Dont book a flight with monarch airlines service is terrible.
I always went to my mums fot Christmas but she died very suddenly recently we decided to go away christmas to change things as its so raw. We booked our whole holiday around the monarch flights xmas day 2pm flight luton to tenerife as the time allows me to take the children to the cemetery christmas morning then go to the airport for the flight. Monarch have just notified me the flight has been rescheduled for 6.15am christmas day I contacted them telling them this change wasnt suitable they have refused me a refund to book more suitable flights but the 2pm flights i originally booked are still for sale on sky scanner.net

On arrival at hotel no support from Monach

Really happy with the Airport and flight experience on leaving Manchester. On arrival at Malaga airport met with our Coach driver to transfer everybody. No problems and efficient. On arrival at our Hotel we are given a piece of paper with telephone numbers on. Pick up times for our return journey ,Spanish consulate, if needed change time of our pick up. A list of trips and costs with a telephone number to phone. A emergency number. Having decided Gibraltar was a visit we wanted we rang the number. A Spanish answers phone message I couldn't understand but the bleep at the end I left message and phone number. No response rang the next day same again. No folder of any information left in hotel like other tour operators. No map of Torremolinos given. The hotel sorted out our trip and tourist information and answered our questions. Can understand in November no rep on site. But phone numbers given out someone should be available to pick up on times that are advertised

Cosmos - might as well DIY

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Corfu but would never go with cosmos again . It was more if a DIY holiday . The company they now use is ENTERAIR to get you there ... The planes are old , the staff appear to only be basic trained so when there was a medical emergency on board there was total panic with the staff. . The service was basic. We arrived at the airport to be transported by a want to be rally driver and dropped off at our hotel .. We get to the desk (on our own) to be asked for a voucher ??? What voucher?? Thank god for the wonder hotel and it's staff . We then have no rep service other than email no offer of any trips , no notice board like the other companies .nothing else .. Dumped and left. The hotel did not receive our pick up time, we could t access cosmossrtvice so had to email to get the details. The transfer back was no better , half way to the airport out driver realises he has forgotten someone and goes back to way beyond where we started. The general feeling of others appeared to be of a disappointment in cosmos. We will never go away with cosmos again it is just as easy to DIY
it will be thomsons for us next time. Sorry Cosmos you were a big disappointment .

Some issues…..

We booked a Cosmos holiday to Greece this year.
The hotel and place (Diana Hotel, Zante Town) were wonderful, but there were issues which need to be highlighted with Cosmos.
The flights were changed last minute, and the new flight times were really unsociable. Plus the return flight was very late, only leaving Zante airport at midnight.
The rep (Stacey) did not turn up for the promised welcome meeting. No apologies were given.
She was at the airport when we flew back but gave no late flight information, and left quickly, with no support for holidaymakers left in the airport.
The transfer from the airport to the hotel on arrival was swift! The coach driver dropped us at a nearby road, saying 'your hotel is up the road there somewhere'!!
We enjoyed the holiday very much, but Cosmos really need to review their protocols in some areas, particularly holiday maker support.

Good value for money

Booked a one week holiday to Majorca in July 2015. Booked in January. Cosmos were much cheaper than other companies. No frills as such, in that you don't have a dedicated rep take you to your resort and be in constant touch. However, this worked well for us as if we wanted a trip we would have booked anything via the hotel or external agency. No problems. We had been to the resort several years in advance so had a idea of the area, but hotel would give out maps and advice on local markets etc (just like hotels would in this country). Used the shuttle service from airport to hotel and no problems. Would definitely book with them again. Flew with Monarch their sister company and again no problems.

Poor service

My invoice said I would receive infr on transfer prior to the holiday. Nothing had arrived. Tried to ring the company but no answer. Sent an Email one week before travel asking about the transfer. No reply. In fact everything was OK when we arrived but it had been a worry. However, we had to telephone to reconfirm flights and to book transfer. Couldn't get through on the phone but luckily the hotel were very helpful(Aqua in Icemeller) and did it for us thus saving time and money. The 'virtual rep' is a waste of time and only achieved financial savings for Cosmos. Little help to the tourist. Would never book with them again.

Cancellation

We booked a holiday with this company through a travel agent in January 2015 for a party of six,spent time choosing carefully as it was to be our first visit to Morocco.we booked in advance to get the best prices especially for flights as these are the first thing to increase in price,I was then told in May that there was a contractual problem with the hotel and cosmos were offering a different hotel We looked At this and for various reasons rejected this offer,they would not offer us anything else that we felt was acceptable the only other alternatives were among there cheaper hotels which I found totally unacceptable they tried saying they were offering us like for like but that's a load of rubbish and they know it !!! there just basically not in the least bothered and I found during several phone calls there customer relations were non existent especially when dealing with there Manchester branch.we have now cancelled and are to receive a full refund but as cosmos well know we are now going to have to pay June's prices for flights which are now double compared to January and although they've followed there t&c's I think there treatment of us is morally wrong as we now have to book a holiday that could potentially cost us hundreds more through no fault of our own SHAME ON YOU COSMOS I will NEVER knowingly book with u or your company again and let this be a warning to other people looking to book with this tour operator there only interest in you is taking your money after that your on your own

Absolutely awful customer service

I have submitted information 3 times, 2 letters as said on the website and one email regarding a potential claim for a 12 hour delayed flight. That was 2 months ago and I have heard nothing back.
Not only was my flight delayed I have now been ignored 3 times.
Government laws have changed allowing me to claim so please look into it.
The website and claim form said I will hear back in 28 days.
What the hell is going on with my claim?

Our rep was rubbish

I got back from my holiday to playa olid in Tenerife in the early hours of this morning. I booked our holiday through monarch holidays. When we arrived the transfers etc were fine. The hotel was great - but that had nothing to do with cosmos. However, during our welcome talk a few things happened. 1) my boyfriend had left his phone on the transfer bus to the hotel and hasn't realised til we got to the room and the bus has left. So we mentioned this to our rep and she said that she would call the bus company when they opened at 10 (it was half 9) which I knew was wrong coz I'd had an email from the bus company saying they opened at 9am on weekdays. But whatever, that was fine, she said she'd post something under our room door the next day. 2) we booked 3 "excursions" via our rep (Sharna was her name) and they were all fine - however I later realised we could've got discounts from them online which I was annoyed about. Also, the directions our rep gave to us for 2 of the excursions were not very good and we had to ask directions around the town before we found where we were actually going.
Now, my boyfriend's phone - we never got anything under our door the next day, or for the 2 days after that. We rang her 3 days after we'd first mentioned it - got put through to the EMERGENCY number which was highly unnecessary - and asked whether she'd had any luck finding the phone. She said that she was just on her way to the airport and would ask them at the office when she got there and post something under our door the next day at 12ish. And guess what? We received nothing under our door the next day or at all during our stay - we NEVER heard from her after that. She didn't find my boyfriend's phone and did not help us one bit in trying to get it back ourselves.
All in all I disappointed by our rep, Sharna, as, in addition to all of that, she said that she'd be around the hotel between half 4 and 5ish every day if we had any problems - she was never there and we only ever saw her once.
I was very disappointed.

Unbeleivable greed by 4 companies concerned

I recently had to cancel a holiday that was booked with Cosmos through Co-oP travel because of a very serious illness. This holiday was cancelled at very short notice and as a consequence I lost all monies paid, and that included all supplements and taxes.
Because I was going to be away for 3 weeks I sent my books etc by post to the hotel. as that was cheaper than paying for excess baggage weight. This parcel was received by the hotel, and I emailed them asking them to send it back to me. They replied that it would cost me 15 euros for them to do so. I replied that in view that they had received payment for my cancelled 3 week stay the least they could do was to send it back at their expense. This they have refused to do, but did offer to hold onto it until I next booked at the hotel, In that email they also stated that COSMOS could not help in getting the parcel back to me.

WHY HAS THE HOLIDAY INDUSTRY BECOME SO VERY VERY GREEDY??????
THIS HOLIDAY COST ME NEARLY £750-00 AND AMONGST THOSE LISTED BELOW NOT ONE COULD DO THE DECENT THING AND ARRANGE FOR THE RETURN OF THIS PARCEL FOR A MISERLY 15 EUROS.
I am fortunately insured and will I hope get my money back. but for a miserly 15 euros I would have expected for the sake of customer relations some one along the line to have done some thing about getting my parcel back to me.

Wrong info

They have wrong info in their website. They had Elias Hotel in Paphos, although after I visited it is in Limassol, Cyprus and not Paphos. I called them and they still insisted is in Paphos... Ridiculous
