No one wants car trouble, but it happens. The guys at Cottman makes a stressful situation less stressful. They're kind, honest, and friendly. My husband and I will go no where else but Cottman from now on. The quality of work they do is outstanding. It's good to know there is a car repair place that cares about the car owner too.

I highly recommend this place. They are honest, which is not easy to come by these days! I was referred to them by someone at Michel Tire in Middletown because my engine light was on in my Jeep Wrangler and the code came up transmission which they do not work on. They checked out the codes that were coming up at Cottman and could find nothing wrong. They did not charge me anything for looking at it. If I have any problem with my car in future will definitely take it there!! At first was a little frustrated because it was there a day and a half before they looked at it. They are just so busy!!

Called the company about my transmission. The man said what makes you think it’s a transmission problem. I recounted what happened. He said go out, apply brake, start car. If you rev engine, the car doesn’t move, and the speedometer registers mph then it’s not a transmission, but rather a broken axle. That was at 4:00 pm. I had car towed to lot by 5:30 and my car was ready to go by noon the next day. So rather than scrapping my car, I was able to pay a price that I considered reasonable and I left the place a happy camper. Everyone needs an honest mechanic. You can get that at Coffman.

Everyone at Cottman was great to work with. The work was done very well, on time and as estimated. I went there because of a reference I got from someone and will definitely refer Cottman to others.

Car was worse after they "fixed" it and they couldn't determine why.

Had issues with transmission shifting rough. Took it to my usual car repair shop. They said to take it to Cottman. After listening to the issue, Cottman recommended changing a sensor first to see if that would work. Did do some other maintenance, too. They helped save me a bundle. The transmission shifts better and didn't have to replace the transmission.

Cottman is a great group of mechanics and they are very reasonable. Would highly recommend

The guys at were great. Did what they said and in timeframe given. Nuff said. Went in for full brake job and they said I didn’t need it only back brakes fronts were fine. I will use again

These guys are top notch no doubt about it best tranny place in Kentucky ,no bs no corner cutting and greg is in on point and knowledgeable. They go the extra mile if they find something that just isn’t quite right with your vehicle . For example my mountaineer had a shimmed starter although fords dont shim there starters .Greg new this and went out of his way to find out why it was shimmed .He had a oem flex plate and starter brought in just to match them up to mine for comparison and although they did match he was able to find I had been missing a seperator plate and had it overnighted .I had no idea it was missing but they pulled the tranny back out a second time and installed that plate . Unfortunately the shimmed starter is still a mystery and required shims . I sure appreciated all they done for me I feel like I robbed them really they charged me less than half of the actual labor they ended up putting into it . They gave me a estimate for simply installing a reman unit I had shipped there and ended up installing it and pulling it to replace that seperator plate my last transmission guy goofed up on and then reinstalling along with customizing some shims for my starter and taking care of sending my old core back for me . No doubt about they are quality people honest and straight shooting . Only downside was the wife crashing the truck on the way home from picking it up . She wasn’t prepared for the difference in torque but I got a new tranny with about 12 miles on it and soon as I find the right vehicle to put it in I’ll be calling these guys for sure. Don’t even waste your time with Aamco

With fewer cars on the road with a manual transmission it has become much harder to find an automotive shop that knows how to replace a clutch. Cottman delivered! My 2007 Toyota Camry now runs as smooth as the day I purchased it brand new. Thanks so much!
