first timer at this location. was very pleased with staff's insight and immediate response to address my needs with my Nissan Xterra. was able to get an accurate/fair diag/fix and had me back on the road in no time. would def recommend them and hope to bring my wife's vehicle in for scheduled maintenance in the near future. good stuff. thank you!!

I went to Cottman transmission in Austin Texas I told Don Coulter the manager my truck was not shifting gears correct and he was so honest to tell me it was only low on fluid and then filled it to proper level witch I thought was already full, I asked him how much it was going to be, when he said 48 dollars I said I don't have 48 dollars he asked me what I had , I told him I only had 28 dollars , so he charged me 23 dollars and my problem was fixed. I'll never forget how kind he was too me. If you have a problem like I did take it to Don at Cottman Transmission at 6534 South Congress in Austin Texas and ask to see Don dollars to my name he said just give me 23 and left me 5. I was there to see what might be the problem, that was free turns out I just needed fluid, I'll never forget how Don helped me. If you have a transmission problem I would tell you to take it there, he was honest and cut me a break

Don at Cottman Of South Austin is the man. He towed my car from Cedar Park to his shop on Labor Day for free. Got me qualified for 6 month free interest. And took all the worries out of this otherwise scary process of not knowing if it was time for a new car or repairing a car I've always loved assuring me he would take care of me. And he did. It was finished in a timely manner and towed back to the cedar park location. Highly recommend Don and Cottman of South Austin. Great Service. I'm very pleased. John Hammond

I would like to thank Cottman in south Austin for the service they performed on my vehicle I spoke to Don he had my vehicle towed in and walked me thru the whole process of fixing my car I have had bad experiences with repair shops fixing my car but Don took me step by step and kept in contact with me at each step of the process cottman in south Austin has gained a lifelong customer with me. thank you don and his guys for the piece of mind of knowing they care about my car as much as I do

Unlike most of my automobile services, my experience with Cottman's was smooth and pleasant. I feel after shopping around a bit that I not only got a fair price on engine work, but the manager went above and beyond when he even gave me a ride back home after I had to take a taxi to the shop. If anyone needs work done on their vehicle, I highly suggest Cottman's because customer service seems to be first and foremost there. My tow was free of charge, I was kept up to date with what was going on, and like I mentioned the manager even gave me a ride which he definitely did not have to do.

I will not take another vehicle anywhere else from here on out! The first time I had work preformed at Cottman's was when my 2010 Chevrolet Traverse had an issue back in January (2016), when I had originally taken it to the dealership and they had given me a quote to fix this said problem of $1,300. After calling around to a few places, I found Cottman's in South Austin, where they gave me a great deal, repaired my truck and I walked out with the problem fixed for only $700! I knew at that point, that wouldn't ever take my truck back to the dealership and this shop had made a lifelong customer!

I just got my truck back for an A/C issue today, after taking it in to have the guys look at it. Don was an absolute joy! At first glance, it seemed as though my truck would need a new A/C compressor, which he had originally quoted me a price for, but after getting in there, they noticed that it wasn't as big of a job as before. It's always nice to know up front, the worst case scenario and what the out of pocket expense could potentially be, but when it happens where they can save you some money, now that is OUTSTANDING! Like I said before, I won't ever take another vehicle elsewhere... Cottman's in South Austin is the way to go for any and all vehicle repairs that are under there expertise! My A/C is COLD and I won't have to deal with driving around in the HOT Texas summer sun thanks to these wonderful guys! Thanks again, Don! You all are amazing!
