Disappointed in my interaction. Very condescending when I first came in. Was told nothing was wrong with transmission, you can clearly hear something is wrong. Took it to 2 more shops- it was the transmission and transfer case. At new shop, he showed me under the car the rust, issues and the transfer case was empty. Stated had they put it on lift they could have easily seen issue.

Your cottman transmission shop in Columbia sc is a scam. They don’t know what they are doing. Look up invoice on a 1973 corvette

Just picked up my Ford Escape from Cottman and this was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ service! I called Tuesday morning and talked to Joe thinking my transmission was bad and nedded an estimate on replacing. I explained exactly what was going on and he asked me a few detailed questions. He fit me into the schedule that morning! Three other places I called couldn't see it until next week. He then recommended a towing company that came and picked up my car within the hour. He promised to look at it later that day and he did. Also thankful for the honesty of the Cottman team as they called me later that day to tell me it was NOT my transmission but the throttle body and my angst of a $3500 + repair was now $850 including an oil change at my request. In a time where it's hard to find excellent and honest service Cottman is a shining star. THANK YOU Kym, Joe and the entire team for another Raving Fan !

David here from Spartanburg.I am stilldriving my 1998 Chevy Z71 with 356,000 miles. Had experienced bad jerking and stalling and hesitation. Had it towed to Michaels. He replaced the distributor. Distributor had been replaced almost one year ago at another mechanic's place that shall remain nameless. At any rate the truck now runs like it did from the dealership. Great service and very reasonable pricing to boot. Great Job!!

Cottman of Spartanburg did a great job with my vehicle. They were honest, informative and reasonably priced in comparison to three others I went to. Mike was very informative and took the extra time to educate me on the process, the costs and my options, in an effort to ensure I made an informed decision instead of just selling me on the most expensive solution that might not necessarily be needed.

I would highly recommend Cottman of Spartanburg to anyone.
