Horrid horrid company...can't get a delivery date even after ordering on 12 December...cold Christmas but hey...we know Countrywide value their customers so long as they don't speak up!! You have to fill in on the phone a customer feedback form if you want to speak to a higher level of stupid...if the customer services (ha ha) assistants such as the fabulous Alicia (who actually swore at ME across the office...called me a bloody awful woman...all because I called her unhelpful when she would not give me a ship date) do not let you fill in the form, there is no way you can speak to anyone. Next level of stupid...Marcus, said 27 December by 5.30pm.still waiting as of 6.39pm...sigh...bloody freezing since 12 December...who would have thought it gets cold in winter??? Countrywide do not give a toss...roll on the lottery and a new central heating system. Hope Countryside staff suffer like their customers do. Crap service and staff who need to experience the real world.
Poor exhausted driver turned up 8pm.

Cold this Christmas
I ordered 4 cylinders 10 days ago, phoned up 3 times yesterday to find out where the order was, eventually was told it wasn’t on the delivery run for today (I.e. within 10 days!) Was told a manager would call me back. They didn’t. When I got home, i found out the delivery driver had driven right past the house that day, as we have builders in maybe the driver couldn’t be bothered. This isn’t the first time my order hasn’t turned up. I am now without heating over Christmas, (family of 4) with no explanation & no way of knowing when the order (paid in full 10 days ago) will arrive.
Tried again today, a day later. Once more fobbed off with an unfulfilled promise that I would be called back. Once more completely ignored. No idea what is going on or when I will receive my order. Office is now closed until after Christmas. No heating for at least a week. Abysmal.
I’ve now been promised a reply for the 4th time. Still no gas, still no reply. Now with Calor, but more expensive but prefer to spend a bit more & defrost the wife & kids.

Just off the phone trying to order more …
Just off the phone trying to order more gas, 25 minute wait for call to be answered. Order placed on 12th still not delivered, promise was 7 days, now told that I was told 7-10, no I was not,I wrote down Pauls promise.
Now told I cant be given a delivery date. Started to place another order and am told about 7th of January. Didn't bother placing the order.
Same problem just over a week ago but the I was told they had taken on another driver and the delivery problem was solved, oh how I laughed.
So 2 OAPs no gas well done Country wide.
Thank you for the reply but most companies expect cold weather during the winter months and plan accordingly. Should your customers stockpile cylinders during the autumn months.

Delivery promises mean nothing
Delivery promised by Thursday. On Friday (I had to ring them) they promised a delivery by Sunday. On Monday (I had to ring them) the promised a delivery the next day. Today (again I had to ring them), they are again promising a delivery tomorrow.
We're out of gas, so no heating or hot water. We're having to cancel guests that were due to arrive at our holiday let tonight, costing us hundreds of pounds.
It absolutely beggars belief that any company can be this incompetent and expect to keep its customers. I can only suggest that prospective customers avoid them like the plague.

Quoted 7 days delivery now 10 working days and two weekends gone. 3 phone calls with a promise to ring back still waiting, office closed at 4.45. I have read all of the other comments all very similar to mine. Why are countrywide not listening. You state on Line Personal and quick delivery. surely this is a wrong trade description.

Terrible, avoid at all costs
Terrible, left with us no gas, do not call you back despite calling 6 times inc the emergency number, office phone line is now closed despite it only being 4.30 when they close at 5.
I have young children and the gas was ordered a week ago and I was told it was a weeks delivery. Now have no heating or hot water.
Avoid countrywide like the plague unless you like being cold.
UPDATE Monday 18TH Dec
Called emergency number 3 times on friday, no call back.
Called twice on saturday, got a call back, was told they couldn't refill yet as there was a tiny amount of gas in the tanks.
Tanks now have zero pressure, held for 20 mins to customer services, told to call emergency number. Called emergency number, get to told to call customer services. Then get told no one can do an emergency refill as they are too busy.
The worst company I gave ever dealt with EVER.
You should be be fined for leaving people without heating when they have ordered in plenty of time.

Countrywide unable to deliver untill New Year!
Have been using Countrywide for about a year normally deliver within 5 days. I called today for a delivery next week told they now will not deliver untill the New Year! No good to my business which relies on gas for cooking as we are a pub & its our busiest time of year. Will have to use a local reliable company that may be more expensive but at least they will care about your requirements.

25% price hike in just Four months.
I signed up to Countrywide 4 months ago. They told I could get a better price per Litre with them. I have had one tank delivery and now they write to me today two days before topping up saying the cost of LPG is going up by 8p per litre, This brings me back to the exact price I was paying before signing over. This also equivalates to a 25% increase in just four months. They don't tell you this when you sign up.
They told me I needed to dig up and expose pipe work to be change due to new legislation. The first person told me it was just one end. The engineer turned up and told me it was both ends of the pipe work. He went away and told me to call back when it was ready, so I dug it out ready and called. I have phoned countywide on three occasions now, but still no engineer has been to change the ends three months from when I dug them out.
I also ordered a sensor so I could get automatic delivery. I arrived home to find a Countywide van blocking my drive. The van pulled forward to let me on and before I got out of my van drove off. I went inside to find an invoice stating the engineer could not fit the sensor as no one was home to unlock the tank. Funny how he saw me arrive home and then drove off.

NO GAS = NO HOT WATER or HEATING FOR MY 15 MONTH OLD!
Ordered LPG gas 10 days ago with a promise of a 5 day delivery. Still no gas and now have no hot water or heating in the freezing weather.
Have tried several forms of communication including their online tracking service, emailing department and sales assistant I placed order with and still NO feedback or assistance!
When calling the office they have confirmed it has not been delivered which I already know and have logged the call for a manager to call me back to discuss the problem.
I do not need a discussion I need gas and a product that I ordered and paid for in full 10 days ago which was meant to be delivered 5 days ago.
My 15 month son has had to go to his grandparents due to the cold conditions we have been left with due to the lack of service from countrywide LPG.

Appalling service
I am an LPG customer and, for some time now, have been buying gas from Countrywide to heat my home and power my cooking and hot water.
I placed my most recent order last Friday, paid over the phone and was told I would receive my gas within 3-5 working days.
Yesterday morning, day 4, I rang to check that my gas would be delivered on day 5 at the latest, as my previous order had taken 8 days to be delivered.
I was told by a customer rep that she would raise a query with transport and call me back. As I had heard nothing and the end of the day was approaching, I called again and spoke to another advisor who initially told me that there was no record of my query, but then that it was on another advisors list & not hers. She told me that she would contact transport and call back.
I had received no call by mid-morning today so, once again, I had to ring and spoke to the same advisor I was kept waiting for some minutes before finally being told, much to my astonishment, that they could no longer deliver gas to me.
I was utterly dismayed. Countrywide
had taken payment for goods that they could not deliver. Not only that, no-one had had the courtesy to let me know until I chased my order. The customer service team failed to call me back on three occasions.
I am now told that it will be up to 14 days before I receive my refund, which is totally unacceptable. If this company truly understands good customer service then they would have found a way of getting gas to me. I live within 4 miles of the M25, and to add insult to injury, they told me they could arrange a vehicle to pick up the empty canisters. If that’s the case, why couldn’t that vehicle bring me the goods I have paid for.
Of course I would have understood the situation had I been told at point of order, but to take payment, not let me know I wouldn’t get my delivery and then make me wait up to 14 days for a refund is unspeakable!
I have worked at a senior level in two FTSE 100 companies, and would be ashamed had this happened under my management.
You have a responsibility Countrywide. Yes you did apologise, but as the adage goes, actions speak louder than words.

Had to go and purchase a bag of …
Had to go and purchase a bag of product, because even though the store had it on stock, they couldn't accept my on line order as it had to come from a different depot, 18 days and still waiting, at this rate will have to do the same as order still in process. Wont be using click and collect again.

Non existant customer systems
So I order £500 of goods online, to get a message to say that it is not of saleable quality and my money is being refunded. 3 days later the products are still advertised on the website so I reorder but select collect in store. My local store actually has the product I require and the number I require. But I cannot collect them because the online Order has to be dispatched from the central warehouse to the store and then to me. The fact that they are unsold in the shop, and I am in the shop having paid for the item online is irrelevant. Apparently I have to cancel my order, because the shop tells me there are none in the central warehouse, then go to the shop, again, to buy them, again, for the 3rd time. And Countrywide wonder why they have closed a load of their stores. The store staff were pleasant and tried to call customer services, but no one was there, at 5pm.

Excellent service
Prompt delivery as promised. Goods arrived in good condition
Unreliable Online System
Unreliable Online System: Ordered and paid for online item, Countrywide failed to fulfil the order sending an obscure e-mail some time later that resulted in significant inconvenience. Unlikely to use their unreliable online ordering facility again and certainly not for a needed item.
