CBS is by far the most transparent and user friendly bank I use. Their website and banking app is straightforward to use, and I have only ever received excellent and timely customer service, on the very few times I've needed assistance.

Maturity was a doddle
I wanted to provide maturity instructions for a bond that was ending at the end of the month. I did this without any hassle, opening a new savings account with the Coventry.

Exceptional Service
I use two local branches for transactions and in both Leamington Spa and Kenilworth the staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their products.
I also use the online option for quick checks on my account It’s very easy to use and gives account information quickly in the comfort of your own home.

I rang with very little knowledge of ISA's
I rang with very little knowledge of ISA’s and needed help with my maturing ISA and how to add to it. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful, understand and patient with me. He explained everything, asked me question to help find out what I wanted, and he was able to help with his knowledge and understanding. I’d been putting off making the call to deal with my maturing ISA and after the call I had to ask myself WHY? Coventry BS were so easy to talk to and took the time to find out what I wanted to do and made the changes I wanted to happen. I only wish I could remember the gentleman’s name; he was a credit to the Coventry.

I have just tried to withdraw money from my savings and they are now charging nearly £10 for this service. It's MY money and I can do what I want with it. I am looking elsewhere.

setting up an isa account
setting up an isa account - still havent got access to my account, the money is likely there but getting access to the account has been uniquely difficult with Cov Building society, not impossible but requires loads of time and faffing about - suggest they dismiss their IT people and start again. IT pretty poor compared to most other banks i have used. You have to wait for a code to come in the post and it doesnt come next day, oh no.

We recently visited the Kenilworth branch for information regarding opening a new ISA account. The staff were very friendly and helpful and, as they provided all of the information we needed, we opened a new account. Overall, a very good experience.
