I have been thoroughly underwhelmed by the service we received for our pool cover.

Firstly the delivery of the £2,000+ pool cover was left outside of the property, without warning of the delivery time slot and no attempt to even put the delivery over the gate.

Secondly, we had arranged for fitters to come and fit the pool cover. They left the cover ill-fitting and drooping into the pool, leaving the old pool cover and cardboard from the delivery at the side of the house.

We had asked for picture updates and videos of the pool cover multiple times, to which Chris had agreed both times the fitters were there. We had to chase these three times before we got one picture, no videos at all.

Whilst Chris was responsive, he outsourced both delivery services and fitters and therefore had no control over the situations at hand and was therefore little help when problems arose.

Very easy to deal with, competitive pricing, fast delivery and high quality product. Not sure why the reviews on here are so bad but my experience was very positive. I believe under new management with Chris.

I ordered the top of the range pool cover. We've had our pool for over 20 years, so know from experience that they don't last for ever. Ultra violet light and constant contact with chemicals during the season, means about 5 to 7 years is a typical.

But within just a few weeks the bubbles started to burst and the plastic just began to disintetegrate throughout its length and breadth. At 6 weeks old it resembled one of 6 years.

I contacted John who said he'd never known this and asked for photos. He suggested the holes may have been caused by falling branches - there are no trees nearby - or bitten by a fox! I've never known a fox to eat plastic and aren't convinced one could get its jaws into a flat surface on water. My chickens are a different matter.

He promised to visit to inspect, but never came. He eventaully said if I sent it back at my cost he would look at it.

But I decided this would be futile.

I asked for a quote for a bespoke size pool cover. I sent 3 drawings and photo and recieved a price. I place and order and got a receipt for payment with a squared rectangular size (which my pool is not). The quality of the cover is not bad it is OK, in fact if it was the right size I would have been happy. But not at any point did he say I cannot make a bespoke size. £600 down with a cover that don't fit, told a rework is more money and unsure if I am getting g a refund if I send it back? I will keep you all posted maybe it will all get sorted out but I must admit from the response so far I'm am not sure as customer service so far has not been that great.... let's see what happens :(

What a joke, on the web site the sizes are in feet, pick one nearest to the size wanted at cost of just over £200 with edging. Confirm the size but this time in meters. Get email from John about top of the range one with all the trimmings, force selling in my opinion, not about the one asked for. The cost now £580 because its classed as a bespoke size, which is smaller than the feet size!!!!!!!
Avoid like the plague unless you want fleecing, far more better companies than this that don't try it on.

So his replie is to cut a few centimetres off a cover is adding £380 what a bargain.
Rude!! He hasn't a clue....

First class service from start to finished product.

John, is the most switched on guy, with all matters of pool supplies there is, he sorted my liner out for me quickly and efficiently, the price was very competitive and the delivery excellent . Not much more can I say, but thank you John, and may your business flourish.

Arrived within a week- perfect fit . Only negative was had I looked at a competitor I would have saved myself £35 for the same product but as annoying as it was it was the only negative

Helpful, timely and efficient

My third dealing with John Spencer, he has advices me on each occasion what to buy and I have always found the advice to be very good. All three times the product has been just what I needed.

The cover I have received is very good quality at a reasonable price. The person I dealt with was very helpful and the cover was delivered very quickly. A good experience all round.

I have bought from them on two occasions. Helpful advice and a quick delivery coupled with competitive pricing. Can't ask for more.

Good quality pool cover at a fair price. Some issues with delivery, but these were the fault of the carrier and not of the manufacturer. Also v helpful advice before we even bought/ordered the cover.

Helpfully answers all my dumb questions and has so far provided me with good kit.

I needed a replacement solar cover quickly. John from Covers4pools talked me through and made the process easy. The fact that the excellent cover arrived, well packed and easily deployed is great but the speed and courtesy was nothing short of fantastic. I cannot recommend this company sufficiently highly. You can buy from them with confidence.

The summer cover and accessories ordered were of good quality and price. Unfortunately the delivery request I made was not registered and thus goods delivered when I was not at home.

We were impressed with the company's obvious extensive experience of dealing with this type of product and good advice we received on design and accessories. The cover we received was exactly right for our needs..
