CPC helped make the most devastating time in my life more bearable when I sadly lost both of my beloved dogs within just two months of each other.
The first loss was especially overwhelming. Immediately after my dog was euthanised, the vet began pressing me to make cremation decisions, which felt incredibly distressing in that moment. I chose instead to contact CPC directly - and I’m so glad I did. The staff were compassionate, patient, and deeply understanding. They liaised with the vet and arranged for my dog to be collected, keeping me informed every step of the way. A week later, I received his ashes in the most beautiful casket.
Tragically, we lost our second dog two months later. Because of the care CPC had shown previously, I didn’t hesitate to reach out to them again. This time, I was able to collect my dog from the vet myself and bring him to CPC. We were welcomed with professionalism and empathy, and my dog was treated with the utmost respect. Once again, I received his ashes the following week.
I wholeheartedly recommend dealing with CPC directly rather than through the vet - not only for their compassion and professionalism, but also because there are no hidden or additional vet fees to worry about.
I cannot praise Lauren and the entire team at CPC highly enough. Their kindness and support during such a painful time meant the world to me.

My dog sadly had to be put down on 26/9/25, due to how fast things went I was unable to prepare, I was unable to get a paw print of my dog, the vets had closed and I thought my last opportunity for this would be contacting cpccares, I got a cold response from them over this, yes the service isn’t something that’s offered and that’s ok but to respond in the cold way they did at a terrible time just wasn’t ok. A little compassion goes a long way and it just wasn’t shown at all.

Vivian at CPC was brilliant. At a time when we were beside ourselves having lost our family pet, she took the pressure off by making us and our dog very welcome. She showed the perfect amount of genuine sympathy and respect, to which we were totally grateful for. From dropping our dog off, to collecting his ashes, CPC along with Vivian, provided a service beyond what we were expecting. Thank you

My beloved Ted passed away at the weekend. Angie took my call on Saturday and was very caring and arranged for me to take Ted for his cremation. A lovely lady called Vivien met me on arrival and was very compassionate. The men that helped with Ted were very respectful. I collected Ted’s ashes today. Although a very sad time, it was very dignified. Thank you.

Whilst I’m happy with CPC service for the cremation and beautiful casket for my beloved Loki, I am waiting nearly 3 weeks for my itemised invoice I have requested for my pet insurance. The invoice for my dog’s cremation is the only thing my insurance is waiting on and is dragging on daily which is hindering my grieving process, the death of my dog was sudden and out the blue and the unexpected costs have left me in financial strain, this invoice is the only thing left to be submitted. It does not take nearly 3 weeks to email an invoice.
My first email request was acknowledged on 22/08 by Reuben
2nd email sent 02/09 unanswered
Website enquiry sent 05/09 acknowledged by Amanda Reynolds
08/09 emailed Lewis Arbon unanswered.
10/09 emailed Lewis Arbon for the 2nd time
Lost count of the unanswered phone calls made.
Anyone else this can be escalated to?
Thank you all received and passed onto insurance. Like I say I am extremely grateful for the service and beautiful casket for Loki, the service and sympathy I have received has been second to none.

We received our ashes back this morning for our beloved Max who passed on 11th August. I did ring yesterday to see when he would come home and they said this morning as he will be collected yesterday. APC delivered Max ashes very early.
Very good service overall but the only criticism is the time it takes to do the cremation and have ashes back home. However it was about 10 days as I was told it could take.

My dog became ill v quickly and had to be pts on the 23rd July. I was shell shocked and should have thought more sensibly but at the time was too distressed. Requested a private cremation with the vets that was noted. My lovely dog was cremated on the 28th and not returned to me till the 6th August (why so long). When he was returned his name was spelt wrong, I had to call the vets as it had been so long since he was pts to find out where he was. I then collected his ashes to find a card inside again with the altered wrong name giving cremation details. I emailed Tewkesbury to see if there was a memorial area/garden or anywhere I could visit for quiet time they never even replied so I telephoned and they said said No they do not own the land and have no facilities for that? I am devastated, I feel I let my dear friend down. I was not with him for any goodbye and I worry how much respect he was treated with by these people. The whole experience was soulless and not worthy of my dear companion.

I was honestly debating on having my beloved boy cremated despite wanting his ashes as I was sure pet cremation was just a way to exploit the vulnerable. I was in tears when Stephanie answered my call. She was absolutely amazing. Not only explaining the process to me but I learnt that its a requirement for employment at cpc that you are a pet owner. This instantly made me feel so much better. She gave me all the time I needed and not only getting the arrangements sorted but having a chit chat about everything else too.
My biggest fear was that the 'baby' id raised amd adored would become 'just a dog' and treated as rubbish.
Knowing that as a fellow pet owner/human Stephanie has been through this process herself and can really understand how i feel made everything bearable. I couldn't be more grateful to Stephanie and cpc for not only arranging the necessary but giving me the time to talk.
This company really does understand the grief you feel loosing your baby.
Can't say thank you enough

This is our 3rd time using CPC over the last 3 years and each time they have been fantastic.
The lady that took my initial phonecall was sympathetic and professional and we received each of our boys back home in very quick time.
Hopefully we wont need their services for a long time now but when the time comes to say Goodbye to our 2 puppies we will not hesitate to trust CPC with them as we know they're in good hands as were Pickle, Murphy Moo and now Rusty .
Thankyou CPC

Our 14 year old cat Chairman Meow died on Wednesday 30th July.
This was unexpected and we tried to ring up some local crematoriums. No others answered the phone that day…
We rang CPC Cambridge and although we waited in line for 20 minutes, when we spoke to the lady it was very professional.
We took Chairman to the venue before midday the following day and they called us 2.30pm saying we could return to collect his ashes which we did (we paid extra for same day collection). We went to lovely nearby RSPB Fowlmere to be with nature whilst awaiting the call.
We had a print of his paw taken and returned home to scatter his ashes.
The remembrance/memorial garden is very nice, and it felt like Chairman got a fly pass of planes from Duxford during the time he was at CPC.
Vivienne was very kind throughout the whole day, not only to my wife and I but more importantly to little Chairman.
Rest in peace küçük aslan (little lion)

Amazing service I rang on the 16th July, My boy was picked up on the 17rh July and I got him back the 22nd. I was shocked at how quick the whole process was, I am so happy that he was picked up and cremated the same day I was so worried he would have been picked up then waited days for his cremation. Can’t fault these people enough for what they do for your loved pets. My boys back home where he belongs Thankyou so much for the service you provided and for getting my boy back home quickly.

This is [sadly] the 3rd time over 15 years we've used the facilities and service for one of our dogs at the CPC Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire site. In general, the experience of the CPC Pet crematorium and their Petrest service has always been empathetic to our needs. Their [Petrest] website doesn't really do it justice and could do with a significant update to explain what they do and what we get in return in more detail, there is a lot to absorb, choices to decide upon etc, all whilst in a state of sad emotions; it is a business of course like a human funeral directors. I found their email reply quick, although when initially phoning it did take a time to get through, but having used the CPC crematorium before, I knew it was worth the wait. I suppose the most important part for me, apart from collecting our deceased dog from the vet, was the availability to visit and spend some last time with our lovely dog, to say a final goodbye. Their separate lounge and actual resting area for our dog was tasteful and peaceful; their was no rush [on a weekday] which was important for me. They [Petrest] collected our dog from the vets and laid him out in rest for our visit. His ashes were given to us in a nice casket of our choice. Whilst on this recent occasion something didn't go exactly to plan, it didn't tarnish the overall good experience. We had conversations with 4 different staff and found them all to be understanding and helpful.

Didn't even answer the phone, so still no clue if the vet sent my dog here and can't find her, so definitely won't use for any other pets!

My Cat had to be put to sleep on 18th June 25 as she had cancer the PDSA said they normally use CPC to collect the pets, cremate them then return them to the owner we cannot get intouch with this company we were informed that they use DPD courier to deliver pets ashes back, this horrified us we cannot get intouch with DPD also. Absolutely shocking, where is my pets ashes?
