Terrible experience with this company

Terrible experience with this company. A simple property deed transfer and they sat on the paperwork for 5 months, didn't return any emails or phone calls. We eventually had to get all the paperwork back and find another solicitor. They hadn't done anything in all that time.

I arrived five minutes early to locked…

I arrived five minutes early to locked doors and an unwelcoming reception. Staff repeatedly said the solicitor didn’t work Mondays, clearly unaware of their own appointments. The PA eventually appeared without explanation. The whole place felt outdated, chaotic, and thoroughly disorganised.

COSTLY MISTAKE SENT INCORRECT LEASE TO A PROPERTY AUCTION

NOTE:
I have Documentation and a Recording to back this review up.

A few years ago we asked Crane and Walton Solicitors in Ashby de la Zouch to create an auction pack to sell our Tenanted shop in Ashby.
(We had initially purchased the shop using Cranes services)
Our property had a signed Internal repairing lease in situ but Crane and Walton incorrectly submitted a unsigned Full repairing lease to the auction.
Result being the property sold and the buyer then proceeded to sue us for misrepresentation when the tenant presented the new owner with the signed Internal repairing lease.
We made John Crane aware of our problem created by him, he assured us he would sort the problem out, however we then received a letter from John Crane asking us to deal directly with their insurers, (they’d dumped us)
So legal proceedings incurred with us having to deal with Cranes Insurance company and the Claimants insurance company, 2 lots of excessive expenditure for no fault of our own.
We were up to approximately £70,000 in fees when finally settled and lost around half of that due to not being financially capable of perusing Crane and Walton’s error any further.
Summing up - We do not recommend Crane and Walton and would rate them Zero

DO NOT TRUST THEM

WORST FIRM EVER!!!! DO NOT USE THESE SOLICITORS!!

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!!!!!
I wouldn’t even rate my experience 1star. The worst solicitors ever to be dealt with. Alison Muttock is a scammer who will do anything in her power to prevent a sale from going through. Queries being asked that are not required and feeding her clients information that isn’t true and getting in their heads. The actions of this company has caused so much distress and mental health issues on our side. I would never recommend using these!!!
