Shameful

I bought the Outdoor Pursuits silver package as a birthday present for my 20 year old son. It was advertised as clay pigeon shooting (50 birds), air rifle and air pistol shooting. It was clear from the beginning that there were insufficient staff and equipment, 6 air pistols and 4 air rifles, to share amongst approximately 50 people. When it came to the clay pigeon shoot my son had 10 shots and then had to hand the gun to someone else. He did this 3 times. I emailed Cray Bear Outdoor Pursuits not to complain but to suggest they better organise subsequent events and highlighted the fact that my son had shot 30 clays not 50 as advertised and paid for. I received a reply fairly quickly with a simple “sorry you didn’t enjoy yourself” and advising me that my email would be forwarded to the relevant team and they’d contact me a.s.a.p. Nine working days later I had to remind them that I had not received any communications from them. When a response did arrive it was full of platitudes and little else. When I suggested that as I gesture of good will they should offer my son the opportunity to complete his shoot they replied “We are fully booked until 20th August when Crazy Bear Outdoor Pursuits no longer run this package”. UNACCEPTABLE.

Complete rip off merchants!

Complete rip off merchants!
Paid £300 for a night in the hotel only to find dust everywhere, damp patches on walls and wallpaper peeling off. No door on the bathroom but a curtain instead. I was appalled at the level of customer service received. Found hairs in the food we paid £140 for with no offer of a discount at all. We contacted the hotel with a complaint after our stay only to be fobbed off and accused of lying. They will tell you your room deposit is a gohst transaction that will not actually leave your bank account, but it does and they will deny taking the money even though it's clearly marked up crazy bear transaction on my statement. Complete waste of money and the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Hair caught fire on candle!!

My daughter and I went for a massage as a birthday treat. Her hair caught fire on the oil burner on the table. The flame was high above the holder. The bar manager came over immediately with an accident form for us to fill in. No sympathy or concern and actually said that it had happened to others on several occasions but the candles stay!! They are all over the place and another caught fire while we were there. I have escalated this complaint and been told by their manager that they have no liability because there is a warning sign on the table! We got a two line email telling us this. I have reported them to Environmental Health and Trading Standards. Shocking attitude to the wellbeing and safety of their customers. They took our money, but no offer even of a goodwill gesture. First visit and what a memory of the day. Never again!!

Disgusting Fraudsters!

My Partner and I stayed at the Crazy Bear Beconsfield, two days later 9 transactions ranging from £20-£180 and totalling £570 had been taken from my partners card. We have called to speak to the manager John O'Flaherty who was extremely rude and abrupt! I am appalled by how he spoke to me. Needless to say he wouldn't resolve it, so we called the bank and they have refunded us and are dealing with the fraud directly with them!

Terrible customer service!

Both my mother and sister-in-law tried to use vouchers to book an afternoon tea. The first call made, my elderly mother was dealt with by a very helpful young lady who kindly explained what she needed to do in order to complete the booking and agreed to hold the table for the 5 minutes my mother needed to get the info required. When she called back, she was met by an extremely rude, miserable and unhelpful man who refused to help her and then told her there were no tables available.
My sister-in-law then called and was met by the same rude, unhelpful man - apparently no tables available.!
Really not the kind of service you'd expect from a hotel/restaurant of this calibre!

Awful Customer Service

We purchased some Crazy Bear vouchers during out last visit a few months ago (total visit cost around £500~ for a meal and champagne) and decided to purchase vouchers for the family. They phoned a couple of weeks ago to book a table and supposedly the Crazy Bear are fully reserved until after Christmas - which would be fine - but when we asked if we could exchange the vouchers we purchased for ones that expire at a later date due to them expiring at Christmas (which is during this period of 'No you can't come, we're fully booked'), they refused. They then proceeded to say it's our own fault for not booking sooner!

Absolutely disgusted by their attitude. We paid good money for these vouchers to give as gifts - and now they're useless.
