I would like to take this opportunity to thank my contact at Creare, Chloe, who has been very understanding and supportive through the last few months of lockdown. It has been a very difficult time for businesses, with so much uncertainty, and the financial help from Creare has been greatly appreciated. I wish some Of my other suppliers, had been as supportive as they have.

AVOID.

I ws paying £32.50 per month to have a web site hosted (which Creare built). For this I was promised a certain amount of hours maintenance work a month along with SEO work (the list goes on). None of this ever happened & any email I sent about this was ignored (I see from looking above im not the only one who's had this issue either)

Final straw was having to pay £150+VAT to have the web site transferred for new hosting, only to then be told from the new host that the files sent couldn't be used & essentially having no choice but to have a complete new web site built.

I now pay less than £5 per month hosting and use a company who are always very helpful, its a better service for a huge saving.

Michael Gavin has been particularly helpful in co-ordinating web development work for us. I would recommend the service.

Would highly recommend Creare to anyone who needs help with the design of a new website or who needs to get their business noticed on google etc. We are very pleased as a company with the results.

Appalling company. When our website needed upgrading, we could have used any number of web design companies but chose to keep our business local. Big mistake.
We were told that it would take around four months to complete our new site but with their incredibly slow work and poor communication (numerous ignored emails, lack of response to phone messages etc) this ended up taking over a year. Also, they continually added to the cost, so it ended up costing almost twice as much as they had quoted. To cap it all, when our site was 90% complete, we received notification that Creare had gone into administration, leaving us high and dry and without a website! This meant that we had to use the services of an independent web designer to complete their work, costing even more money. Incredibly, they then reappeared the other side of town operating under the same name.
Do not waste your valuable time and money with this company – they are truly the worst company we have ever dealt with in our 45 years in business. Avoid my advice at your peril.

UPDATE: Thanks for the useless reply (which is clearly an automated response). You clearly can't even be bothered to respond to my review properly. Like I said - appalling.

Absolutely rubbish! Promised everything but delivered nothing! Promised us that we would 'own' our own domain and charged us plenty for the privilege, but guess what? They still own it. Worse still, they want us to pay a transfer fee to take what is already supposedly ours, elsewhere. Do I own it or not?

Promised free updates and maintenance, every month. When I asked for it, they said they have "only just" changed their policy, so no more free updates.

SEO service was extortionate, but all we got was hundreds of spam emails from our site. No results, enquiries, or business from their SEO service. What a waste of space!

Sales went down initially but I thought I'd give them time. 7 months later things hadn't improved so I tried to cancel.

This is when I found out what the company are really like. They continued to take money from my debit card after I had asked to cancel and when I requested a refund they tried to tell me that work had already been done for this payment.

I find this strange as the month before I had to chase them up for the work I had paid for (4 weeks after they had taken payment). I was finally sent that content 2 days later.

Use the money for Facebook or Google ads instead. I have and the sales have already improved!

In the meantime I'll keep chasing for my money back.....

difficult company to work with, had problems with our site which took ages to fix. same problem happened each easter weekend which meant we lost business, could have put in preventative measures as they were aware of the issue but didn't. Slow communication and not always there when a problem occurred. It states that Creare have tried to contact me but i have had no email.

Creare have managed my business online for a few years now, and I've never had any problems with the results.
