I changed to this bank based on the recommendation of family friend. My experience from the very beginning has been horrible. They were quick to respond when it came to having the paperwork signed and then everything went downhill.
I was contacted asking why i haven't transferred funds into my account? I stated i was waiting to receive my debit card, which i was told would arrive in 5 days. This took 2 months. Then learning i had to purchase a credit card because the bank only offers ATM cards.
I am on month 3 and still have not received my credit card.
I highly recommend avoid using this bank, unless they learn to update their services today standards. They need to add a digital card option to Google pay. Debit card standard, to not have to purchase a prepaid card (with online purchases being so frequent) this is basic need.
Customer service is terrible or at least the manager i am dealing with is. Complete waste of my time and taking long to complete a simple process.
Credem is one out of the many banks in Italy that discriminates against international students.
We had our student id card, residence permit, house contract(not reaidenza), international passport, evidence of flight, admission letter and codice fiscale and part time work contract. They collected these documents and told us that they will reach back.
Lo and behold they sent us an email that my country is blacklisted. That they need to see my parents, the job they do and more details about my family.
This was the hight of racism even to think that we are masters students in our second year in Italy is the killing part.
I wouldn't mind filling an official complaint if I have the means to.
Again bank of c..t , why you make reklam to opening current account online if in the reality is need to visit office to opening the current account? The most dangerous bank in all Europe !

Incompetent, unprofessional, uncommunicative, unhelpful, time-wasters. Do not open a Credem account. A full 2 months after the confirmation of closure of my account, they still have not transferred the balance to my new bank and are doing everything possible to not co-operate.
I have found both the products and service of the branch at Citadella Del Capo as nothing but very good.
The whole approach is courteous and professional.
The team have made dealing with dealing with a bank that much easier for expats in Italy.
