If you forget about subscribing to their service you might find yourself paying for years as conveniently (for them) they never send invoices or bills, just quietly charge your card.

THEY HAVE BEEN DEBITING MY ACCOUNT EVEN THOUGH I SIGNED UP ONLY FOR ONE MONTH AND CANCELLED. I HAVE JUST NOTICED THAT THEY CARRIED ON DEBITING. THEY HAVE DONE THIS NOW FOR 15 MONTHS.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME. I ONLY SIGNED UP AGAIN BECAUSE A RENT COMPANY ASKED FOR IT SPECIFICALLY. I THOUGHT THE FIRST TIME WAS A MISTAKE AND DID NOT PAY ATTENTION UNTIL I HAVE BEEN DEBITED FOR 15 MONTHS WITHOUT A SUBSCRIPTION . I DID NOT EXPECT A COMPANY THAT DEALS WITH CREDIBILITY TO DO THAT SO I ASSUMED IT WAS A MISTAKE FIRST TIME,
BUT THIS SECOND TIME, I HAD TO LET OTHERS KNOW.
FRAUDSTERS!

Experian Credit Ratings are Useless

My credit scores with Experian are pure rubbish, their amounts on my credit cards are way out of date.
I use two other credit score sites & my credit card details are far more up to date.
Today my Experian score went down 49 points from excellent to good while the other two are always in the excellent band & yesterday my score went up by 15 points to nearly the maximum possible score.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. I wouldn't trust a word they said. According to them, my score dropped overnight, and they were unable to give me any reason why, the only activity on my account had been by Experian themselves. Wouldn't trust them if they said it would go dark tonight,

Extremely poor service for £14.99 a month

Extremely poor service for £14.99 a month! Have just cancelled and moved to ClearScore. No facility to provide website feedback, no online agents to chat to the paying customers (they leave you waiting for ages with no interaction at all - in the end I gave up and complained instead) Android users suffer from cached passwords/usernames being lost every few days so if you like using your mobile to view your credit report and don't mind having to reset your password every 72 hours then this is the service for you! Awful service and not worth the hassle. Maybe they don't have the money for a few more online agents and a developer to fix the android issue and build a feedback button....

The credit boost facility doesn’t work

The credit boost facility doesn’t work. You do not get an advisor to speak that is available when you sign up for the extra services AND it’s completely out of sync with other credit scoring companies.
Not to mention they don’t actually keep track of you unless you update your details on their site. Therefore if you provide a lender different details these cowboys reduce your chances of gaining credit because you have to update their shifty systems too. Unless you commit fraud with the lender (since credit expert may give you a great score at a old address)

They show you percentages for chances…

They show you percentages for chances of qualifying for credit cards or loans. You then apply for ones that say there's a 95% chance of approval and end up getting refused and have your credit rating crushed with more and more applications getting rejected. Worst ever services.

I have read other reviews and to be honest I have had great help from Experian, I had two defaults on my credit file which were wrongly entered and experian raised disputes , fought my corner and had them removed. I contacted transunion with extreme difficulty and equafax and got nowhere, experian were ultra helpful.the staff at experian are professional and sympathetic.

Why would anyone actually pay a subscription to these jokers?

I've been working really hard to re-build my credit score over the past year. Whilst those efforts are reflecting on my Credit Karma, and my score is going up, my Experian score hasn't altered one bit! it has actually gone down. How can that be? I don't pay a subscription to Experian, I only use the free version. But why would I want to pay an extortionate £14.99 per month, when Credit Karma's free version tells me / shows me absolutely everything I need to know?! It's a disgrace that our financial status is held in the hands of people like Experian it really is, especially now I've read the reviews! Surely it's legalised scam.

Why have I paid 14.99 for the last 8 months?? Recently signed up to clearscore that shows six hard and soft searches that experian doesn't show and that was their free service, even clearscore premium service is only £4.17 a month over 12 months.

Free trial my a$$

So I signed up for the 'free trial', gave them my credit card details and they charged me the £14.99 straight away. Cancelled the free trial within the 14-day period and yes, they refunded me... but only £10!!!

It's not a free trial then, is it?

Experian are the biggest scamers.

Experian are the biggest scamers.
I was working hard on my credit score and I raised up to 700 or so... I registered with Experian with e free trial and normally a credit score is changing monthly but since I Got a free trial with Experian my credit score went down to 500 points, 3 times in a Month.

Shame on you Experian.

Bait & Switch scammers - beware

beware their loan comparison tool - leads you to offers with good rates then, after the loan application is completed, shows much higher rates which are uncompetitive. Bait & switch service!

Not fit for purpose

Applied for credit card - turned down - never had any problems - got Experian credit report - wrong address, linked to a property that doesn’t exist. Told Experian they had 8 errors in respect of wrong address. Now some 143 days later still have 3 errors. If you have to use a credit reference agency I would recommend CheckMyFile.

VEXPERIAN!

What a load of old s**t as Catherine Tate once said. £14.99 per month to have ‘dedicated support’ above and beyond the free version. Can’t get in touch with ANYBODY! Customer services number just asks if I want to know how they have my information and then the call ends. It seems that the 0800 number for ‘Credit Experts’ has just been created so that they can put a number on their website. There is nobody at the other end……ever! Another company thieving off hard working people…… welcome to the 21st century.
