The surveyor failed to spot a very damp…

The surveyor failed to spot a very damp wall with crumbling mortar. This affects most of the bottom 6 or more courses of the garage. When I complained to the company I was told the garage was not viewed from the inside, but this was easily visible from the outside, especially if you are an expert and know what you are looking for. I was also told by the surveyor that there was no damp course, which I thought I had seen. However I have been since told by a builder that there is one and can be seen by the thin black line beween the bottom row of bricks. I do not understand how this has happened.

Don't Bother

We had a Level 3 Buildings Survey conducted on May 2nd 2024 and since moving in we've had 2 leaks; 1 from a dormer roof and 1 from lead flashings.
Crossbow Developments failed to use a drone which they advertised at the time. They failed to see or to mention points of potential concern about the roof that leaked. They failed to even assess the lead flashings at all (despite this being listed as an element they would inspect)
I now face repair bills currently at £4500 and rising and all the Director, Andrew Crosbee, has done is shrug off my legitimate complaints and call me "vexatious" on Facebook.
