Absolute shocking CS, I have made a booking by mistake(wrong site) via Pitchup and requested cancellation within an hour, the cancellation was successful so I was expecting a refund, obviously - small fee as it was my mistake would be reasonable. it’s been 3 weeks now. I have chased up for a refund status and their reply was:
"Thank you for your email. The booking is non-refundable as per the terms and conditions that you agreed to. At no point have we agreed to refund any of the payment."
So, they charged me full price for the service they haven’t provided, hanging to their T&C like a hyenas they are. I would understand if this booking was on for days or weeks, but I have requested the cancellation within an hour! Even we're fully planned up for this year. I thought I might be able to squeeze in an 2 day stay at Crow’s Nest if they give me reasonable date, so the matter is settled and who knows, this review could be a positive one… but nah, they just ignored me and stole my £108…
If Crow Nest holiday park work ethos is running “family holiday” honest business, then they are miles away from that. Simply thieves in white gloves that’s what they are.
I advise anyone to steer clear from this vile people.
Dirty facilities, there's as much poo on the dog walking field as in the toilets.
Shop sells out of date meat, which would be nice for a barbeque.
Too close to the cliff edge to enjoy your camping trip even if you have an air tent like us, which on last review we were told we could blow back up, if you survive the storm.
Forgot my TV to watch the BBC in our tent.
But thanks so much crows nest for your kind response and hospitality, maybe get yourself on a customer service course they do a level 2 and sorry I forgot the bullet points yet again.
I booked a caravan for a 3 night stay. I payed £500 for a 2 bedroom, pet friendly, deluxe caravan. What I got was no way deluxe. It was dirty, food left in draws, a tiny T.V, smelly drains, sink in bathroom didn't empty properly. When we pulled out the sofa bed we found dirty socks, hankies, pens, note pad and old food. We reported it to the office who sent a cleaner to wipe it over. I did comment on there Facebook page but they hid my comments and blocked me. So for reference don't book deluxe pet friendly 2 berth caravan L3....you'll end up disappointed.
It’s ok.
It’s a free for all campsite so everyone ends up extremely close. It’s also cliff top and incredibly windy on some days.
Facilities are ok but the sheer volume of ppl means they smell and can be dirty/wet.
I also found it expensive. £80 for two nights no electricity.
The bar is full on Phoenix nights.
The pool is freezing chaos. £3 for the privilege and they really need reporting to environmental health due to chemical levels. My children couldn’t stop coughing and their eyes were red.
Really clean and well run site . Absolutely amazing chip shop on site , probably the best fish and chips I have had for 20 years.
A few negatives . Beach too far away but blame myself for lack of research there.
Water tastes horrid even after boiling for a cup of tea so will definately need lots of bottled water .
No internet on pitches but at least they do tell you it’s main areas only near pub and shops. Other sites pretend they have it but don’t really.
When it’s really full it’s too crowded .
Overall I think it’s more of a family site and we are older so probably better sites for people like us. But would definately come again if was bringing grandkids.
Loved this our whole family enjoyed every minute even with a few tent issues lol. Not commercialised perfect. Thanks.
Crow's Nest Caravan Park - Visited on at least 5 occasions, always with a touring caravan, premium pitches are excellent, with power and main waters and hard standing on each pitch.
Site has pub, shop, fish & chip bar, swimming pool and other play areas for the kids, well located for visits to Bridlington, Scarborough, Filey, Whitby and North Yorkshire Moors.
Staff are friendly, easy to work with and you can book online.
Worth a visit if you need somewhere to stay for a few days or longer
