Item is great in the main. Small quibble is that a number of keys do not correspond with the symbols in them, for eg, the @ key produces " and vice versa. would be useful to know the keyboard setting to use to correct this. this is the only issue and laptop is like new and just what we wanted and thought we had bought

BEWARE OF BUYING APPLE PRODUCTS FROM…
BEWARE OF BUYING APPLE PRODUCTS FROM THIS RESELLER.
The product was purchased from CRS-UK through Amazon and had a latent defect. The product had not been removed from Apple's DEP program. The seller willfully disguised this issue, and when the operating system had to be reloaded, it contacted the Apple server. The old permissions granting access to a third party were reinstalled. The profiles loaded onto the machine give third party access to the machine. The machine was never properly prepared for resale. This is more typical of a company selling a stolen machine than a “properly recertified machine.”
The latent defect must have been known by the company preparing the machine for resale and they willfully disguised this issue.
Despite CRS-UK statement below, that they will replace this machine, they sent me a separate email stating they will not do this because I purchased the machine in August 2018 for my parents.

Hello Robert, Sorry to hear you are having a problem, with DEP Lock issue yes the unit shouldn't have been shipped and it is a part of our process to check for any DEP lock.
DEP lock used by schools mainly to centralise their systems and installation and once those units sold to asset management after their lease end it should get removed from their system. So I can assure you this is not a stolen item.
once we see a device with DEP lock we contact the school district to make sure they get removed from their system.
These mistakes rarely happen and we are always happy to help with a replacement unit within 24 hours.

Needed a laptop to start a university course. Did some searching and found refurbished laptops and Crs was the supplier, did some research and read some reviews and decided to go with them. Fast dispatch, received a day earlier than expected. I’ve just set it up, all went well. It’s in very good condition, nice and tidy. Neat and compact so easily transportable. Very happy customer, would happily recommend and use again in the future. Great experience
