Best tutor ever! It was a sunny weekend and the last thing I wanted to do was a two day course, but the tutor was so engaging and made the course so enjoyable, it turned out to be a weekend very well spent! CST will be my go to for all future work place training from now on.

Just finished my NVQ in carpentry, I was apprehensive at first starting it as it can seem confusing, however my assessor Alex Eades took me through everything and answered any questions needed. he was always easily contactable when I needed any help during the course, making it run smoothly.

We found Sharon to have Excellent teaching skills
Good revision tools
Lots of personal experience and knowledge of the subjects taught
Patient tutor good knowledge of subjects

I would like to recognise Sharon for the outstanding SMSTS training she delivered. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and teaching style were excellent. She explained everything clearly, used relatable examples, and took the time to make sure everyone understood before moving on. As someone who has only been in the construction industry for around 18 months after spending over 20 years in a completely different profession, Sharon made what initially felt like an overwhelming course much easier to understand and gave me confidence throughout.
Unfortunately, due to internet issues outside of Sharon's control, she was unable to deliver Days 3 and 4 of the course. We did have Sharon back for Day 5, which I was really pleased about, but Days 3 and 4 were delivered by two different trainers, meaning we had three trainers across the five-day course.
Each trainer naturally had a different teaching style, and because the replacement trainers were only with us for one day each, they didn't have the opportunity to get to know us, understand our individual learning needs or build on what Sharon had already established. This made the course feel disjointed at a crucial stage.
I completely appreciate that technical issues happen and this is absolutely not a criticism of Sharon. However, once her internet connection had been restored, I do feel we should have been given the option to reschedule those two days with her, particularly as many of us had paid for the course ourselves. It is a significant financial investment, and continuity of teaching is especially important on an intensive course like SMSTS.
Personally, I believe the disruption affected my learning and confidence, and may have contributed to me not achieving the result I was hoping for.
Sharon is an exceptional tutor and a real credit to the training provider. If I ever needed to complete another CITB course, I would choose one taught by Sharon without hesitation.xx

I have recently finished a smsts course with Sharon Collins. I would just like to say that I really wasn’t looking forward to the course. Being a bit older in age I don’t like the exam experience or learning that much. But Sharon made the course fun and informative. But most of all she involved all of us as a group in the learning process. Because of this I feel more confident to go ahead and learn more things in my trade. Also she was so calm and put me and fellow students at ease about the final test. I would recommend this training organisation. But most of all I would like to say thank you to Sharon for being such an amazing teacher. Adrian

Excellent course. Sharon was a Excellent tutor and made us all feel comfortable and supported us through the week. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the course.

Excellent trainer and good course. Was times where there was a lot of dictation from the books and could have done with a few more videos to encourage discussion.
