I'm not surprised that CTT hasn't claimed this profile yet, considering their rating is 1.1 (at time of writing). Like many other reviews here, I just cannot state how absolutely awful their service is. It is beyond logical... It's almost as if they go out of their way to be as fundamentally unhelpful as possible.
In my particular case, the sender misvalued my package, I tried to change it, which in doing so meant that the package had to be returned to sender. I was then told the package lost all priority status and it would eventually be returned. That was 3 months ago and it still hasn't been returned, and I'm told there is no deadline to when it will be returned. Basically... they might send it back one day in the distant future if they can be bothered but don't hold your breath as they really do not care about you, your package, your experience or their service.
CTT has been around since 1520... presumably still trying to deliver their first package.

Parcel sent last week from Portugal to Ireland. Still hasn’t arrived. Tracking just said it was shipped internationally. Snail mail. It must be floating over to Ireland. In the meantime stuff has come from as far as the USA within that timeframe.

This company is a non delivery service. I purchased an item from Amazon with a 'guranteed' next day delivery. One week later I still don't have it! Their comments are that they didn't have time to make the delivery. Amazon used DHL and it is DHL who subcontracted the job to this nonentity - so I understand. Terrible organisation.

I sent via CTT to USA four packages to four different clients. some packages were sent in June and some others were sent in July. until today the tracking system shows no development (in transit in lisboa). I opened a case a month ago, they gave me número de referência SR0013886071 and until this moment there is no response. I called to follow up, they said that they we will insist on the process. I asked how many days until i receive an answer or to call back. they say they do not know its objective. why do you have a tracking number if you can not track it. and now what answers do i give to my clients. its awful.

CTT is the worst postal and courier company possibly in the world. If you can't find the package which they are holding, then to phone them, you get a different answer each time you telephone. All is so frustrating. I have been waiting now since May for refund of IVA which I did pay and then they returned the goods as they refused to deliver them to my door but only to a local post office which has no parking and no disabled facilities - I am disabled!

I would give zero stars if possible. Every interaction with CTT since I bought a house in portugal Nov 2021 has been awful. Writing this note is also pointless, because if you intend to receive a shipment from the UK you’ll no doubt have a similar experience. I went online last night to clear customs and add my NIF and Passport number to the customs request. The CTT platform then said I failed to provide the information, when I did. So CTT are returning my goods to the UK. This is shocking. Truly shocking. I feel helpless are their chat service is a bot and getting through to a human is something I haven’t been able to do.
All I wanted to do was pay the IVA and receive my parcel. :-(

Worst company.
I send a parcel to Madeira and it got stuck in customs in Lisboa and they wanted 150 euros to pick it up, extremely ridiculous. Tried to get in touch with them so many items and had no luck until 2 month after they decided to send my parcel back to me moving on 2 months and I’m still waiting for the parcel to arrive. Lost the goods and my insurance. Bear in mind I send this parcel at the beginning of April.

IMPOTANT MAIL BEING WITHELD ILLEGALLY
Ihave been waiting for a letter from the British Inland Revenue regarding a refund of Income Tax. The letter has only just arrived (18 July) and was posted in England on 16 JUNE. It has taken the Portuguese CTT ONE MONTH to deliver this letter to my Caixa !! I now cannot claim my Tax rebate on line as there was a 3 week limit from the date of the letter to allow me to claim on line. The Tax Authoritiy now states that a cheque will be sent to me within the next couple of weeks (I wonder if that will ever reach me!!) If it does arrive, I then have to send it back to my bank in England and hope that the Portugal CTT actually do their job in delivering it to England !! I have absolutely NO confidence in this service as this is not the first time that I have had to complain about the late and/or loss of my mail. Why this is allowed to continue is beyond my understanding. Lies, deceipt and failure to deliver important mail must surely be a criminal act?
Don't create excuses, change wrong procedures and give Portugal a good image
I can't give them 0 stars. If your parcel is sent on Friday the ctt express, chargef as such, should be called CTT Centro da Trapalhada e da Treta ie. Mess and Lies Center. Even in Asia they send parcels on Saturdays and don't try to find excuses. These guys are pathetic a nd I even have a ctt bank account too! Totally unprofessional!

If I could give 0 Stars, I would. My family has sent a parcel over to Portugal from the UK at the end of November so it can arrive to us before xmas however we have not received it until February! I understand it is a busy period however CTT stated they had the wrong address, they did not, they tried to deliver more than once, no they did not, I work form home, no one ever showed and they kept lying! The parcel was about to be returned back tot he sender, what a joke, I had to keep calling and calling and begging for this not to be returned. They would not allow me to get the parcel myself from the depot! Finally after the stressful weeks and xmas with no gift, it arrived 3 months late.
Now, waiting for a parcel that is on week delayed and customer support is offering no help and constantly telling me ''issue at the warehouse', how is it possible someone in my block got a CTT delivery but I did not ??? Liars and very very bad service making me thing I cannot purchase anything online anymore without knowing the carrier because I will do my best to avoid CTT in the future but guess what, this is out of my hands so will not be ordering online in Portugal because of CTT.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.
Incompetent Service Overall
Currently awaiting a call-back from a manager due to a 6 day delayed package, which has been in transit for over 3 weeks! Order date June 09th 2022,, Today(July 1st 2022) after reaching Customer Support for Tracking(after 3 calls yesterday(no resolution)), where call has been cut, provided incorrect information and advised of delivery of package, advised attempted delivery, to then be told "Ohh Issue in Warehouse", always contradictive information provided.
Offered to even drive to depot to collect as delivery drivers seem incapable of simple deliver(warehouse less than ten minutes from where it is to be delivered)
Customer Support do not seem capable of dealing with the issues raised with service & packages seem to be lost or resent back to sender due to incompetence.

Legal criminals. Mafia at its finest. They steal abd steal right in your face. When you call them they have the nastiest attitude thid lady Edna on the English line is very nasty. Via email they tell me not to contact them about my package and wait for notifications which in two months i never got. Now they are saying they dont know where my package is. This should be illegal. I would like to know how i can get back the money i spent!! Also the money i paid them to clear my package!!

No support to customers
I'm leaving this here in case someone is trying to do business with them. I have a package that is supposed to be trying to be delivered since yesterday to my house. Nothing has arrived yet, no one has tried to contact me and the agents are ignoring me in all social media. The office says they can't help and they have not contacted me after I made 2 different requests. I believe there was no attempt of delivery, but because the package was out of SLA, they had to give an excuse.
