I bought a Cube E-bike in May 2025 from Tredz.co.uk through cycle2work scheme. The bike costed £2,449. In March 2026 (Less than a year and only after 193 miles) I found the chain snapped, got a... See more

Superb bikes

Recently purchased a Cube hybrid performance 500 and immediately noticed the difference in quality compared to my two previous electric bikes. This is only an entry level bike yet it feels like a top quality bike. All cube need to do is sort out there parts issues and they would be a force to be reckoned with in the world of bikes.
Yes cube do have some issues which can be sorted out but don’t be put off by the bad reviews cube bikes have a good quality feel to them.

Cube support of spare parts.

Back again about my €5000 emtb this time I lost a screw out of my rear suspension totally my fault.
On the 7th of October I ordered the screw package because it doesn't come as a individual part.
Was told would be available from the 17 of October from Cube.
I just got a phone call from my bike shop today 17 of November cube have said it has now been pushed back until January 2023 with no definite date to supply.
Now I still can't ride the bike or service it.
Thanks Cube for the €5000 paper weight and the lack of interest in customer care.

Bought the CUBE Stereo mountain bike…

Bought the CUBE Stereo mountain bike only 8 months ago in Australia and it already has a crack in the frame. I took it back to the 99 Bikes who said that it can take up to a couple of months to hear back from CUBE customer service. This appalling as I will have no bike for up to 6 months from what I have been told as it can take CUBE this long to sort it out. I would not recommend the brand to anyone in Australia as there is no support here if you have an issue.

Never Buy a Cube Bike

Before you buy, take a very close look at every part of the bike. On the surface, my overpriced ebike looks great, but when you start to examine things like the pedals, battery cover, wiring, lights, reflectors, kickstand, fenders, and so forth you'll likely find they are cheap, flimsy, and destined to fail. I regret my purchase every time I ride (and often when I don't). I tense up every time I hit a bump because it feels like the bike is going to fall apart. The bike shop has had to use glue and duct tape just to keep it together. Most of my reflectors have fallen off, as has the cover for the top of one of the front shocks.

I've seen much better ebikes now for half the price I paid. And those likely come with customer service. As others have noted, you will have no support or service from Cube. I wish I had a time machine so I could go back and make a better decision. When this bike finally (soon) dies, I will never buy a Cube bike again, and I will warn others against it every chance I have, including here:

Do not buy a Cube bike!

Totally disappointed with the Cube AIM…

Totally disappointed with the Cube AIM SL Mountain Bike, I've had to replace the cable stops that fit into the frame several times in 2 yrs of limited use, these plastic cable stops that fit into both sides of the bike frame are completely unfit for purpose , as soon as you change gears that's from your rear mech or front mech putting increase on your cable tension the plastic frame stops move out the frame which affects your gear shifting dramatically, will never buy a overpriced Cube bicycle again, look on the Cube website and you will have no chance of getting in touch with them directly, wonder why !!!

Cube POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE -AVOID!

I purchased a cycle for £2.8k and there is a defective part ( cover for charging point ). The customer service team were worse than useless. Avoid this brand if you want a product that doesn’t have faults that they won’t repair! Bearing in mind I have had this bike 10 weeks and have done 34km….

Wish I had known this is what the company and brand are like! Pathetic to say the least!

Hope you avoid this problem, and hope battery doesn’t blow up because of poor design!

Super happy with my new 2022 - Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 500

I am impressed at the quality of the bike, the price, and the condition it was in upon arrival. The bike came with all of the tools to assemble, good instructions and was in very good condition upon arrival. I have put 500km on the bike so far and it is an absolute pleasure to ride. As with any bike, after a 50-100km you should do an early check of bolts and various components - very little adjustment needed on mine. The suspension seat post tops out a little bit, but I have read in the manual that there is an adjustment which I can use to configure it properly for my own weight.

This is such a good value eBike. It has the latest Bosch Performance CX motor which means heaps of power and good control of modes via the display. The battery is easily removable and has a nice locking mechanism.

The design of the bike is fantastic with tons of little features to customise it to your liking. For example, adjustable stem, seatpost suspension, adjustable front suspension, adjustable front light, etc. I am quite happy with the pedals and seat, something I often find myself needing to swap out on other new bikes. The rear rack can hold 25kg and is a clever design with rails for bags and an integrated tail light.

Thank you Cube for making such a fantastic and good value bike!

Cube Kathmandu hybrid pro 625 2022 edition disappointing

After purchasing the Cube Kathmandu hybrid pro 2022 edition, I was disappointed when the bolt holding the rear mud guard in place fell out on my first trip, The front brake was rubbing on purchase and had to be adjusted by myself because the cube store refused to fix it before the first inspection The cube shop staff informed me that the pedals supplied with the bike are totally useless and I should buy different ones for 90 euros. I have now discovered that the racktime baggage rack on a 2022 cube does not support the newest version of the racktime adapter released in 2020. After contacting the cube website for an explanation no reply was received. This company has no respect or regard to its customers and customer service is non existent.

UK Support non existent

Only had my bike 2 weeks, 4k's worth. Before I purchased it I emailed Cube to ask if the ebike lights fitted the Bosch Kiox system, yes I was told. Placed my order, paid for the bike and was informed on collection the lights do not fit the kiox system by the dealership. I have emailed Cube twice since and guess what, all the other reviews are correct, they are ignoring me now. The battery cover also fell off on the first ride and the back wheel went over it. I am now dreading the farce of getting this replaced or repaired under warranty.

2020 Cube Stereo 150mm C68

I bought a 2020 Cube Stereo 150mm C68 carbon bike at nearly £5k, I like in an area where such a bike is over kill, my intention was to visit my inlaws in Wales and whilst there ride Afan. But so far I've only used it for a commute bike to and from work.

I have an obsessive nature so my bike was cleaned and lubed weekly, one day as I was cleaning it, I noticed what I thought was a scratch, on further inspection I discovered it was a crack and it had a twin on the other seat stay, I contacted Cube and they said to take it to a dealer, so I took it to Leisure Lakes, they inspected the bike and agreed to file a warranty claim, after 2 months of photos and emails, Cube claimed the bike had crash damage.
I have not crashed the bike, in fact it's only been riden on roads and fire roads, its never been jumped, bumped or done any drops.

Cube are refusing to offer a solution, I cant believe a company like Cube could treat its customers so unfairly, I have always dreamed of owning a cube bike, but that dream has become a nightmare. I just want to ride my bike that I'm still paying for, I'm so gutted and disgusted.

Cross Race Pro - so many failures and cost a fortune

I purchased a cross race pro in Sept 2020. After 3500 the rear wheel bearing needed replacing, soon after the rear gear cable snapped. Then the bottom bracket was replaced. The last issue was the rear wheel split in several places and I had to buy a new wheel from Shimano. Also happened within 1 year of purchase and less than 5000 miles. I will never buy a cube bike again.

Terrible Customer Service

Linkage bolt snapped within several months of buying the bike NEW and Cube won't honor the warranty after 1.5 YEARS of going back and forth them. They always wanted more information and we would have to wait long periods of time for them to respond. The reason they finally rejected the warranty after a year and a half of the bike being unridable? "User Error". Cube's parts don't measure up and they won't lift a hand to help you replace anything. After a few months of riding Cube's high-end bike I'm left with an unusable bike with no hope of ever getting parts from Cube.

Agree with other reviewers AVOID Cube Bikes

Agree with other reviewers AVOID. Absolutely appalling organisation and product design. Bought SL Road Pro, very over priced (ok my fault but I liked the design), doesn't ride great at all, the Boardman Team hybrid is 10 times better. Ordered mudguards, had to return twice due to parts missing, then got sent a 'generic set', look crap, impossible to fit, absolutely appalling design, couldn't be more complicated. Instuctions terrible, no manual, nothing online, no way of contacting their customer service. Don't be fooled by the really trendy website (which is of no help by the way and no maintenance videos), or by the fact that you think you're buying so called 'German engineering' it's just rubbish a total con.

Customer service?

I feel fortunate that I have tried to ask a simple question before purchasing an expensive carbon bike. Because after two attempts and more than two weeks there is not a word from Cube customer service.

I can only imagine what the experience would be if there would have been any issues with my purchase.

I can only say thank you for opening my eyes. For anybody reading, try Canyon their customer service is top notch. I will be spending my money there.

Cube belt drive bicycle debacle

I bought a 2018 Cube Travel Pro which uses a toothed belt instead of a conventional chain. The rear sprocket was made out of plastic. Whoever chose this part was either tight-fisted or a complete cretin. It wore down and ripped four teeth off the belt. I ended up stranded about five miles from home. I complained to the dealer and also Cube.
I got a reply from the dealer who told me my two year warranty had expired. Cube sent an automated reply promising they would be in touch. They never come back to me but as other reviewers have reported, they never do.
I explained to the dealer that the warranty had only just expired and I expected longer reliability. Also, if a metal sprocket had been used, we would not be having this conversation.
Metal sprockets are available and I bought one along with a new belt and fitted them myself. Both parts are made by Gates who do not recommend the plastic sprocket for a mountain bike. So the bike was never fit for purpose.
The other annoying thing was the cost of the parts combined with high shipping costs and import tariffs.

3 Month old bike and Catastrophic failure.

I bought my son a bike 3 months ago NEW. The Aim Pro. The pedals have broken at a structural point which Cube claims is Wear and Tear. I am going to follow this up with trading standards. 3 months and little use. And a structural part of the bike breaks mainly on 1 pedal but both have the same problem. Hmmmm
