I had the pleasure of trying different Cubot smartphones. It's a brand that I find pleasant and reliable with a more than reasonable price. I really like cubot products.

Saw the phone with a friend and it was stunning.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had.

I got a defective phone ( I'm not mad at that because life happens)... They way this company has treated me in order to get a refund and replacement is horrible.... Truly awful. in order to get a 170 dollar refund i have to spend 260 dollars to return a deflective phone... they will not provide a pre paid shipping label so i am being asked to pay 250 dollars to ship back something that will only give me 170 dollars. If i can save anyone from dealing with their awful service I hope i can.

Fingerprint sensor broke after 3 months of very light use.

Requested a Repair, Refund or Replacement - 1 month later and Joom and Cubot have stopped responding to my emails asking for help.

Phone is not for fit for purpose and Cubot is a crap company selling crap products and providing crap support.

AVOID THIS CRAPPY COMPANY

Poor service - Order placed and paid for. Contacted after one week as not yet delivered or despatched - out-of-office reply stating entire company on holiday for lunar new year. Contacted again 8 days later (15 days after order placed) - still no contact and order cancelled - by them but stating it was by me. Have said they will refund me but have not.

I bought a King Kong Star on January first 2024. I was told that I would get a text message with my order #. After 3 days still nothing. I contacted a representative on their "live chat" asking for an update on my order. I received a reply 2 days later asking for my confirmation #. No Hello my name is John Smith, I am a customer representative for CUBOT. How can I help you today?. Simply a what's your order #, 2 days later. I said I didn't have one and provided them with a screenshot of my purchase confirmation from their website. I was told:" is this it 0000?" I replied well I can't say since I never got it but if you found it using my name I guess it is ?. CUBOT replied :" yeah we will send it on a few days". Waited 1 week, still no news on my order. Then finally, 4 days later I received an email with a tracking #. Waited 8 days to get the phone. At this point I had purchased the phone on January first and got the phone on January 25th. I bought the phone because of the camera, I took the phone out, took 3 pictures, camera is garbage, the zoom only goes to 4x, the quality is terrible. I like to take pictures of the wild squirrels I feed in my backyard and you can't even see any detail of a squirrel that was 20 feet away from me. I also like to listen to a Fireplace channel on YouTube before bed, the sound is terrible. The speakers are om the back of the phone and the crackling sounds of the fireplace sounded like it was muffled inside a box. Played with the phone for 10 minutes and put it back in the box. I contacted CUBOT for a return/refund. I informed them that the quality of the phone was not what was advertised on their website and I wanted a refund. They asked me what was the issue with the phone. I said there was no issue just the phone was of poor quality. They asked me if I could sell it back locally otherwise I would have to send it back to China. I said I wanted to send it back to China and get a refund. They replied that they would only refund the price of the phone and I had to pay the shipping. I said sure I will pay the shipping give me your address. They replied asking me if I was sure I wanted to return it.... I said yes I am sure, give me your address. Haven't heard anything back from them for 8 days now. They are totally refusing to refund me, delaying giving me their address to return it and now ignoring me.
