Very rude
Made an order from them for one our agencies tenants , then the order came and wasn't the right fit for the house, then i spoke with a online business representative, she sounded like she just rolled out of bed, not helpful took all the details found the product all though a pick up date was already given but they had never turned up, i explained to her that the product wasn't collected and no one has turned up to the property, she advised me to hold on to look into this issue after taking more order details, she kept me on the phone for 15 minutes to inform me that i never made the order, that i need to have the person that made the order to call and book another collection, When the first original appoitment of collection was made i had spoken to her is well again she was so rude and dismissive, and never advised me this on the previous call, i had my colleague call back to re book a collection date after we waited 10 days for the item to be collected from the tenants property. Her name is Mandisa and i really do not think that she cares to help any one her tone and attitude was out of this world, the agency will never order from them again. It was one time order for an agency over thousands of properties and could have kept a good communication and taken our business, but lost all our business. What a shame!!
We ordered a new TV online and it was delivered with a broken screen…
We ordered a new TV online and the ordering process was very good, however DPD delivered today and left it in our lobby as instructed, they took a photo of the item in its box, however on the other side of the box there was damage where something sharp had punchered the box, luckily we called DPD to let them know, they instructed us to inform Curries which we did and unpacked the TV as Curries had instructed, the screen was broken, its a pity DPD,s driver did not take the photo of the damaged side of the box, it would have been more honest.
The Worst Company in the UK
I Purchased a PS5 for our Son's Birthday and paid for timed delivery slot between 17.00 and 22.00 on Monday 30th October 2023.
No Delivery. They rescheduled for the next day, no delivery and the driver even took a photo of the shops below our flat including the door to the flats. DPD fault not Curries.
What has followed has been a week of lies by agents on their web chat. They just copy and paste set responses and regardless of what I said, they gave the same few responses over and over.
Promises of a Delivery on Thursday have left with DPD tracking saying your product will be delivered on Thursday 2nd November.... Clearly not.
Been told on about 5 occasions that this has been escalated and please be patient. Not once has any action been done in the time I was told it would be.
In the end bought another PS5 and collected from the local store.
Now fighting for a refund, told will take 7 to 14 days! Plus when asked for compensation been offered a derisory £20 Gift card. That £20 will be the last I spend with this company. Avoid like the plague!
Scandalous
Scandalous. Don't purchase an oven or any white goods from curries, i bought a Neff oven from curries who installed it and i have experienced problems with condensation, water dripping and pooling inside oven. I spoke to Neff they informed me to cook a single dish to see if it still pooled water which it did. Result is Neff refuse to honour this item which is within the guarantee period because they say curries installed it, Neff inform me curries are responsible but curries say it should be Neff looking into this because i didnt take a care plan out with them even though the Neff item is still within the Neff 2 year guarantee & curries installed it. I am a single parent & I cannot afford to replace this oven. I should have been told by curries when the oven was purchased that Neff wont guarantee anything that curries install even if its under guarantee! I have spent hours holding on the phone with curries they say they cant do anything? Its scandalous. I will have to go to small claims court, last time i purchase Neff or shop at curries
Awful and frustrating
Booked delivery and installation of a dishwasher for Monday (£150 on top). Waited and waited so at 3pm I thought I would call and see if they had an estimated time only to be told it had been rebooked for Friday and I’d need to wait in all day then. Call centre was in South Africa and I think the man was Asian and I had to keep asking for things to be repeated and it felt like he couldn’t understand what I was saying that I can not spend 2 days in a week waiting in. Awful customer care. Asked to speak to a manager and was told I couldn’t and that managers call back 24-48 hours later! Curry’s can’t even deal with issues on the spot. I feel very let down by a company that I’ve used for 20+ years.
Never ever again
To give even 1 star pains me.
Stayed in all day for a Curry’s delivery which never arrived. I then got a call at the end of the delivery window to say sorry it will be delivered tomorrow instead. Then an hour later received an email to say your order will be delivered 4 days later than I was told verbally.
Customer services is appallingly bad and did nothing to resolve the issue so had to wait, no compensation or anything.
You could not pay me to use the service again.
To cap it all I was sent a survey which I gave the lowest score possible. I detailed my reasons in full hoping someone at the company would see. I submitted my response only to receive a text saying you have opted out of the survey. They literally discounted negative or what they perceive to be negative comments.
The old company we knew and loved has gone.
Just reading other comments now and I really wished I had done so before ordering
I was told my Beko washer dryer was…
I was told my Beko washer dryer was going to be delivered on Monday 24th Jan between 1.0 clock & 6.0 oclock.I was told when I rang that it was on the van & would come it never did.I was told at 7.0 oclock that it could not be delivered & would be delivered on Feb 3rd.Why so late why couldn't it be delivered the next day if as you said it was on the van?I am very disappointed .I will have been waiting for 10 days which is not good enough & very inefficient. How do I know that it will be delivered on the 3rd?

Never shop at Curries online or shop again
There isn't enough space and I don't have enough time to specify the catalogue of incompetency of Curries customer "service". All I can say list to the 83% of the reviews below......
I will never shop here again
I will never shop here again
Bought a laptop online - delivered perfectly next day, laptop developed a fault with monitor - returned to store was sent home saying its ok - fault happened again - returned to store offered refund or exchange - went for the exchange - waited 5 days was called and told the store forgot to order it so another 10 day wait - called customer services and was compleley messed around -promised a new laptop delivered to my home didnt happen - called again some guy told me it was out of stock (its in stock on your website son ! ) called again put on hold then hung up on. Called again fresh the next day told its out of stock the website is wrong but because I refused the refund and opted for the exchange I can have a refund on my product until the laptop comes back into stock !!!! The date which they dont know !!!! so they have my busted laptop, £650 of my money and they are planning to hold it until they get new stock in.
Worst Customer service Ive ever had I had to do all the chasing, customer service didnt even know the store number, the store had no idea when I returned the laptop that the product was out of stock and best of all if I hadent called in Id still be blissfully waiting for a replacement laptop that would never arrive because its OUT OF STOCK hahahahaha
Currently waiting for Wrexham store manager to call me back to explain why they think its acceptable to have both my laptop AND my money
CURRIES 'HELP' LINE AND HP PRINTER HELL
Bad, poor, below zero - just some of the words to describe Curries so-called helpline and Knowhow.
EIGHT calls over two days to get through; line cut off three times; transferred to an Asian language; transferred to HP 'helpline'; another line asking for a 'conference number; overtalking by the third Curries rep; first accepted ref. number not applicable on another call; extremely poor instructions on the HP Deskjet 2721 printer; will not print A 4 (as many others report online); 'Nothing we can do - it is an HP problem' - as the result of all this wasted time, stress and anger. Terrible. Outrageous. Not fit for purpose. Disgraceful and self-evidently useless. This is not a service or company worth even dismissing - it should be banned from British trading. Where do I go now
UPDATE: I am now about to visit masked up the local Curries shop with pc and printer where there is their help facility apparently under the Techguys format - stay tuned but don't hold your breath.
SATURDAY APRIL 24: Mark at Curries Penzance was very helpful and apparently resolved the problem, which promptly returned when I got home.
For some bizarre reason the printer seemingly reverts to the 'marker' procedure and therbyt prints only half the Word doc. Having changed this to 'no marker' all seemed fixed; at home, it reverts to 'marker' again and now will no longer print at all. I am hearing the Laurel and Hardy Cuckoo Waltz theme right now instead of the hum of prininting docs. I suggest normal exhalation should be resumed because this is likely to take some time. More to follow after Sunday's visit . . .
. . . went Tuesday instead; na on telephone so took a chance; Techguys not there, so wasted trip. Next morning, determined to beat the problem, I deleted the prev. installation, re-installed, received instructions hadn't seen before to get printer on line by pressing the letter I on printer screen. Now all ok, but no thanks to the deplorable instructions. Next day an email invited me to obtain dig discounts on ink . . but not for this printer. Print quality ok, but disappointed at the 'simple' instructions that have taken so long to apply.
Just as bad as I anticipated
I swore blind that I'd never buy anything from Curries again, after I had a new washer/drier delivered but not connected to the water supply, even though I had paid for this and the Knowhow people said they had finished the job. I switched on the machine, which then flooded my brand new kitchen units, ruining one completely. I got my usual plumber to come round and connect the machine with no difficulty and give me a report, and told the Knowhow about the disaster. Not only did I get no compensation, but they denied being responsible. I was incredibly busy at the time, otherwise I would have taken them to court. Sadly I have been forced to use them again because my tumble drier died and there seem to be remarkably few new Miele heat pump driers in the country, certainly without waiting for weeks. After paying for having my old drier recycled, I saw on the receipt that "due to the pandemic" (all recycling centres have been open for the duration) they are not doing any recycling at the moment even though they let me pay for it. I cannot have the old drier left, so tried phoning for ages, but every option sent me down a dead end with no-one to speak to, so have given up and will just have to cancel. Serves me right for trying these cowboys again
THEY HAVE STOLEN MY MONEY!!! I ADVISE YOU DO NOT SHOP HERE!!
On the 5th of December my partner and I went into a Curries store to purchase a new oven (in the weeks prior to that we had also bought a new fridge, tall freezer, TV, 2 Nintendo’s & a dyson hair set) whilst there we decided to purchase a new Hoover. We debated whether to get a Dyson or Shark.. eventually we opted for the Shark. The representative told me the one I wanted wasn’t in stock so ordered it next day delivery to the store.
I went there the next working to collect it (although I still hadn’t received my order confirmation email) to be told they couldn’t find my order and it hadn’t been delivered.
I called customer services who told me it would be delivered to store on the 19th of dec, nearly 3 weeks later. Although annoyed I waited until this date and surprise surprise it still hadn’t been delivered, they could find no history of my order.
I called customer service and sat for an hour trying to talk to someone.. when I eventually did I was told it would defo be delivered in the next couple days... so again my partner went there and again they couldn’t find the order, this time claiming it had been sent to another store in London.
The next day I drove to the store it was apparently at, waited in the Christmas queue for 45 mins to be told that my order wasn't there.. I then waited a further half hour for them to contact customer services who proceeded to say my shark hoover was suddenly out for home delivery!!
Bare in mind it’s not the day before Christmas Eve so any hope of it coming before Christmas I felt was out the window.
I’m going to cut a very long story of constant calls to customer service one time with them placing me on hold and HANGING UP ON ME etc short and say that we got to mid Jan and I still hadn’t received my Hoover!!
I spoke to a agent on the web chat (again waiting for around 40 mins and losing my place in the queue also) to request a refund. Curries confirmed it was not my fault and that no address had been placed on my order, therefore they didn’t know where it was being delivered?!
We are now approaching March and 4 times I have asked them when I will receive my refund????
Each time being told “so sorry to hear of your experience, we can confirmed your refund has been processed” LOOL
SO WHERE IS MY MONEY CURRIES?!??
You can’t just STEAL money off customers!! I paid £200 for a Hoover I didn’t receive through your fault and I want my money back!!
We spent so much money with curries in the beginning of December but can assure you I will no longer be buying a single thing from them!! Their customer service is a joke and from other reviews I can see stealing money is a common thing with them!!
I RECOMMEND YOU DO NOTTTTT SPEND ANY MONEY WITH THIS MONEY STEALING, USELESS COMPANY!
no refund,
Purchased a GPU on my card, then next day received email saying out of stock, if I want refund to get in touch. AFER trying for ages managed to speak with someone who informed me my refund would be processed, but still not got the refund a week later,
Beware!!!!!!
Beware! I bought a croc-pot back 2019 which does not work although I'm still in warranty by a short margin. So, I want to exchange the pot which cost £24.99. I went on-line as directed to register that I wanted an exchange and I picked my local store obviously and was given a ref: number. However, me being me I decided to call the CS number and check this would be okay. After abut 30 mins I got to speak to someone who I guess was in the USA, American accent and didn’t have a clue about place names in the UK. She advised me that I can take my pot back but only to another city than the one I live in! my local store only deals with collections. I told her that the journey would cost me more than the price of the pot. So that’s no good enough. What else can you do, well I could also wait until Lockdown is over, but then I said that might take me over my warranty date. Yes, it might they said! So that’s not good enough then is it? she agreed and apologised again but could do nothing. I asked then why they couldn’t give me a refund and I will take the pot back when my local store when it opens. Nope can’t authorise that because they are on-line and I bought it in-store. But you’re the same company are you not? I didn’t really get a satisfactory answer to that. I then asked to have the matter escalated to a manger I was then put on hold how I was kept hanging on for another 30 minutes, in total I wasted an hour and I could have been left waiting for ever. So I hung up.
Sad Company…
I ordered 2 Graphics tablets for my grand daughters but when they came realised they were too complicated for their age. Followed their returns instructions and they agreed to refund me as soon as the items were returned, A few days later they acknowledged receipt and re-funded £76 99p, half of the cost, i contacted them and they insisted they had re-funded 2 payments of £76 99p. I then checked my paypal account and that shows 1 payment. I have been on currys helpline but cannot get any joy, i am hoping Paypal can help me because its obvious currys just are not interested.....
Delivered broken TV
Delivered broken TV. Had to drive to store, store booked an exchange from my home address. Few days later broken TV was picked up, no replacement product! Truely, terrible service. Phone lines all end in recorded messages, referring you to avenues already tired. Chat lines can't help with exchanges. In fact no one can.......
If I could give them a 0 I would
If I could give them a 0 I would.
Ordered three items in three months only one turned up. They took my money with what I beleive no intention of sending these items. Because I don't think they ever had them in stock.
Sent me no communication until I went to ebay and cancelled the items. I sent three emails in two weeks and they were ignored. Joke of a company and it clearly shows here. Never will I buy from this company again..
Problem with Coverplan Agreement
I purchased a fridge/freezer from Curry's. At the same time a direct debit was set up for a Coverplan agreement. Owing to my bank issuing me with a new card, I needed to set up a new direct debit. I spent hours on the phone trying to do this, eventually I was promised a new direct debit form which never arrived. Today 2 November I have received a letter telling me as they had not received a payment they were cancelling my plan.
I have just spent a further 40 minutes waiting for my call to be answered and have just hung up in frustration.
I think their customer service is awful and there is no use in going to the local branch as they just direct you to the website
Ordered a fridge freezer had to wait…
Ordered a fridge freezer had to wait 2weeks as out of stock! When my new fridge arrived the delivery team refused to bring it upstairs! Yet on purchasing I said I live in 2nd floor apartment no lift! Yes yes it’s fine they will bring it up blah blah! The driver was rude and very arrogant-didn’t even take the fridge out the van! Just said we’re not delivering upstairs! And if I want they can leave it on the ground floor and I can take it up- I refused to argue with him as all he kept saying was ‘not my problem, not my problem’ etc.... I rang curry’s and demanded a full refund! Ordered the exact same fridge on ao.com for £20 cheaper and it arrived the next day’ and the 2 delivery men brought it upstairs! I will never shop with curry’s again!!
Unprofessional and lazy and covid breachers
Olivia at romford unhelpful made me then get toaster replacement as too lazy from store other end. Then came back at dealnn in my with Sarah. Olivia didn’t say why but then directed her new xray let’s to stand I my area so I had to move as they was 1cm away from me not two meters or even one. Sarah took a long time to process and even her colleges were laughing as she was entering wrong numbers and letters. Her college them throws rubbish over about 3 meters into bin.
Sarah Argus with me that she is keeping my warrenty paperwork. I said it’s mine and has my writing on and I need my copy of my warrently. They she says it’s mine now. I told her it’s not, she then said she doesn’t mimd copying it for me. I told her she can keek a copy for herself if she wants by it’s my paperwork and I still need my warrenty.
Absolutely awful service.
