Have been harassing my business for…

Have been harassing my business for months lying and saying they're from Neighbourhood Watch when its just one of their staff and using their disgusting pressure tactics to get money out of us, fast forward to today when a staff member called twice demanding money for an advertisement we haven't seen, haven't approved, and won't be paying for (they publish the ads without telling you then chase you for money!) It's disgusting that they hide behind our emergency services like that!

Update 27/8/26 this business flagged this review as not relating to them specifically in an attempt to have it removed. NOPE.

Parasitic marketing company that plays on people’s emotions

Got a call purporting to be someone from the SES asking for sponsors to support their annual magazine, which would support the work of the SES. Me: “oh yeah! I support the work that the SES does! Why not?”. Got a call next a couple of weeks later from the “Australian Institute of Policing, same deal, which got my red flags up given police services in Australia are professional bodies who’s members are paid salaries as government employees and not volunteers.

Did some research and not only is their magazine not an annual but a quarterly magazine, but seems like a lot of people have been unwittingly sucked in by their marketing crap. It’s not part of the SES or whatever emergency service they proclaim to be a part of - it’s an advertising company using emotional persuasion and people’s natural affinity with emergency service workers to get them to part ways with their hard earned money to bolster its bottom line and rake in a profit. Very parasitic.

The way the call goes is that the caller will get you to ‘agree’ on the spot and won’t hang up the phone until you do and will claim that they’ll “keep you in mind” (as though they’re part of the SES/police services/etc, of which as mentioned they’re not) for business services that you provide as a way of sucking you in (pro tip they can’t nor they won’t). Don’t fall for it. You’ll get better return on investment by spending that money on Google Ads or Facebook Ads or god forbid, the local newspaper, than you will in these crappy magazines that hardly anybody reads.

Won’t be paying the invoices any time soon and will be emailing them back saying that, more or less, I’m no longer interested.

most likely a SCAM

I have similar experiences with every review here, they first called me as the part of the SES and just inundate you with bulshit, then make you pay without seeing the ad, a week later gog a similar call saying they were the police and again same deal, I found that sus and luckily I havent paid yet and won't be anytime soon.

Scam praying on small business owners

Sucked into their rubbish over the phone thought I was legitimately supporting the SES in a yearly physical magazine

Turns out it's just a scam that I agreed to via email because they wouldn't hang up the phone until I responded.

Since learning it's a scam I won't be paying the invoice, they can harass me as much as they want.

I'm such a sucker…

I'm such a sucker for falling into their trap.
They make you reply to an email saying "I agree" while you are still on the phone with the sale person who is greasing you up with platitudes, before casually mentioning that you've signed up for a $400 add in the SES magazine. Then few weeks later you get the same speech for the Police magazine. And again for the paramedics magazine...
The last one made me repeat all my infos because "the printer ran out of ink and she couldn't read properly" tricking me into believing it was a confirmation of the 1st ad when it was for an other magazine and an other $400.
Stay away!

Scam Company

Scam Alert. They are straight-up scumbags. It's an embarrassment to the NSW Police Force that these guys do their publications. They tell you lies saying that it's the 2021 publication when in fact it's the June-July 2021 publication. They say that you were recommended to them and that they are going to feature you in their magazine only to tell you at the end of the phone call that you have to pay for this "feature". Good sales tactics but that's it, apart from that it's just a bunch of lying, cheating and manipulative human beings working for a company past it's due date.

These guys call and call and call

These guys call and call and call! We got suckered in first year of opening business, then never left alone. I literally just climbed into bed at 21:40 and they called me for the firies magazine. I love the emergency services, but mate I can't pay $400 for every different journal you publish, every year. Far out!

This is a scam

This is a scam - if I get another call from them I will be seeking legal advice. I cannot believe a company like this exists in Australia - right out of the Nigerian handbook.
Do not engage. Ever.
