I have bought there software four times, and if I want to continue using there software I will need to buy it again.

I would say overall the software package is very good and easy to use.

Unfortunately they force there customers to keep buying the software by locking you out with a popup saying your 30 day trial is up. Of course you were not using a trial version and had the code registered. Also of course you still have the email with the code, but re-entering the code it almost never works.

So sometimes a restart fixes this, but eventually you have to buy the new released copy or you will be locked out of your encrypted vaults.

'Interestingly' this problem only happens when they have released a new revision of Cypherix software!

They will start hounding you with new version notices, (if you decline you will soon be locked out with trial expired notice), (If you except the update, of which there is no charge, you just whipped out your paid account and are on a 30 day trial.)

Buying the latest software package restores your file access, note that they never offer current customers a price break.

So basically your buying an annual subscription, Cypherix just dose not want to admit to this.

There customer service will eventually get you back on line, but it never lasts long before the popup returns.

So you end up feeling very uncomfortable putting anything in a Cypherix vault you are not prepared to loose.

After all they may just expire everyone someday when they close their doors, because they lost all the loyal customers with this money making scheme.

I've used Cryptainer for years and for the most part it's been reliable but every now and again there's a huge problem... You can't open your files. It claims your trial has ran out when you bought the product ages ago. Worst still, the registration codes don't work, and you can't log on to get new reg codes, and support takes days to get back to you. Effectively it means if you work on those encrypted files daily, you'll not be working for days every now and again! TERRIBLE!
