Website is absolute rubbish

Website is absolute rubbish.
Ant time i get a newsfeed on my phone, it is completely impossibly to read it, hundreds of weird ads/ unrelated content. It also pushes you to subscribe as well. So I did, and several months later i am asked again. Really poor quality of reporting as well and will get rid of it.

Poor reporting

Poor reporting. Too much about Southampton, it's supposed to be the Southern Daily Echo. Does not report a lot of other items plainly available on other local news platforms. Far too many stories only available if you pay so what is the point of an online site?

Shine night walkIn 44 pictures…

I have just seen the 44 pictures of the shine night walk. Did you actually use a photographer, if so was he/she using an old instamatic camera. They are dark, out of focus and extremely poorly set up. I expect a 10 year old could do better.

A local paper that ruins local peoples…

A local paper that ruins local peoples life's … Just because of some jumped up journalist that thinks that's OK..
Well its not .. !!!!! Timothy Edgley IS A LOW LIFE SCUM BAG... Hope this kind of this happens to you and your family one day...!!!!!!!!!
Story on Alltype Roofing is absolutely disgusting and untrue.
They REPORTED all the lies BEFORE THE CASE HAD FINISHED !!!!
Steve has built up his trade and company over 30 years and has very high standard.

Don't publish that he was found NOT guilty in the trial. Due to no evidence.!!!!

The council worker involved was never DBS checked and had over 114 different criminal convictions INCLUDING FRAUD... and the other who had a gambling addiction and debts of over 200k !!
Alltype was used by the other two that pleaded guilty.
A big cover up at the NFDC for the massive corruption going on there.. As given in evidence by former NFDC workers..
Now every time someone looks up Alltype Roofing they are hit with this absolute lie about them..
THANKS SOUTHAMPTON DAILY ECHO..

IF ANYONE WANTS THE FULL STORY OF THIS SCANDLE LET ME KNOW .

Worst local Rag on the planet.

the news stories are mostly clickbait, most of them have factual errors and spelling mistakes and they delight in leaving comments sections open for stories that attract racism and hate, but close the comments section for articles they want to protect.

the comment section:
is filled with racism, hate, bile and general trolls, which the daily echo does nothing to address, moderation on the worst comments can take months, if they bother at all.

they have no 2-factor authentication, so anyone banned (they don't ban) can just make a new account and spew more bile.

when i contacted Ben Fishwick about the lack of moderation, his reply was akin to "lol wut story as trolls? innit" (ben.fishwick@).

i think they need to get hit by the new online safety bill, and soon.
