Clear, professional, and welcoming Process
I found the recruiting process to be very smooth and well-structured. The communication was clear at every step, and I always felt supported and informed. A special thank you to Theodora and Alexandra for their support, avaiability, and guidance throughout the whole process.
unprofessional
Late, expensive and often unavailable. Very bad professional's experience and a waste of NHS' money

Be careful with DALS
Be careful with DALS; they have ruined the careers of many interpreters. The most disturbing aspect is that many of their reviews are fake, often originating from outside the UK, and even their telephone interpreters are working from abroad, particularly from Eastern Europe, while the government appears to be taking no action. This is not only unethical but also poses a serious national security risk, as sensitive information is going abroad.
DALS (formerly DA Languages) changed its name after numerous lawsuits and negative publicity, hoping to improve its image, but unfortunately, it’s just rebranding and nothing has really changed. After this review, don’t be surprised if you suddenly see a wave of fake 5-star reviews appearing.
Shockingly, police forces continue to work with such an agency, as they have no ethics, no respect for interpreters, and they put interpreters in danger. They even send untrained and unqualified bilinguals to police bookings, and when mistakes inevitably happen, the interpreters are the ones who get blamed and sacrificed by DALS.
They pay extremely low rates; interpreters only receive about 10–20% of what the agency charges clients, and I sincerely hope this agency never gets the contract with the Ministry of Justice, courts, or police forces. Sadly, it seems police forces still use them simply because they are cheap, but the hidden costs of their practices are enormous. I strongly encourage everyone to step forward and leave honest reviews about them, because only together can we bring change to this unfair system.

Maria
Maria has been helping me with onboarding application and she has been so welcoming and helpful she made me feel so comfortable with everything and answered all of the questions I asked and never made me feel like I was asking too much. Honestly she’s amazing
Smooth and Supportive Recruiting Experience
The recruiting process was smooth and professional. I especially want to thank Andreea P., who guided me through every step with patience and clarity. She was a great help and made the whole experience much easier.
Ridiculously low payment
I have nothing bad to say about the company, except that they pay very little money, which is frustrating. They also do not cover transport cost (exception is if you travel to another city). But an interpreting job is usually one hour long and when I have to pay for buses, it means I spend a third of what I earned in this one hour, which is ridiculous. I hope the company will change their payment policy. I believe interpreters should be respected and earn a decent salary.
Genuine positive feedback from an interpreter
I had the chance to work with various linguistic agencies on interpreting and translations. By far, DALS sets a great standard level, with great responsiveness.
Thank you for your collaboration and support!

Human quality onboarding process
I've just passed the recruiting process for linguists at DALS and it has been a very smooth experience thanks to Radhika and her help. She has been precise and patient when asking for information, and very reassuring throughout the process. Despite being a remote recruiting process, it felt close which I'm grateful for as it's not very common nowadays.
