First—I love my boots
First—I love my boots. They were exactly what I wanted and very high quality. I had no sizing issues, either. Second—I’m in the US and many have criticized the customs fees. When I made my purchase, it was made clear up front that I’d have to pay customs fees—before I confirmed my purchase. For boots that were about $150 USD, I paid $36 USD in customs. I was aware and not caught off guard. For these quality boots, I happily paid it. It’s a challenging political climate so these things happen. My boots came quickly and communication was excellent. I was able to do signature release too which I appreciated!

Super fast shipping to US, nicely packaged, quality products, 100% authentic, and exactly as described. My mom and I love our new Barbour boots- thank you Daniel Footwear! The only issue we had was having to pay $71.65 in import duties for a $79 order because the boots were manufactured in China, even though they shipped from the UK. That was a bummer!

I didn’t ask for a refund. I asked for a repair. It’s simply bad workmanship and should be easy to fix. My 16 year old daughter is so upset by their responses.
To issue a refund on this we will need you to provide us images and a video of this item been cut up and thrown in an outside bin.

We’re very sorry that you were unhappy with the wording of our initial response, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify this publicly.
Your original contact advised us that the boots had developed a fault, which we reviewed with the supplier and accepted. At that stage, no preferred resolution had been specified. The supplier then authorised a refund as they deemed the goods could not be repaired and advised that destruction of the shoe we can refund immediately.
When you advised you did not feel comfortable doing this we offered to either replace the item or cover the cost of repair.
At no stage did we ask or expect your daughter specifically to cut up or record herself destroying the boots. The option offered was simply a supplier-authorised alternative intended to speed up the resolution process.
We have since offered:
* A full refund upon return
* A replacement pair upon return (subject to stock)
* Consideration towards an independent repair quote
We are sorry again for the upset caused and remain willing to work with you towards a resolution however we stand firm that we have offered all available options for resolution.

£50 Boots fell apart after 6 weeks. No exchange or refund offered. Told they are waiting for a response from the supplier - Fly London. I have been waiting over two weeks.
