I bought a $159 (black Friday sale) Das…

I bought a $159 (black Friday sale) Das Keyboard 4 Professional (Order #60212). Within two weeks, I was having issues. About half the time my PC wakes from sleep, the keyboard is dead and I need to restart the computer. Their help desk gave me lots of suggestions, but nothing solved the problem. Now they've told me on on my own and essentially that my brand new expensive keyboard is a brick. The poor product quality is bad enough. It's even worse that they don't stand behind what they sell.

Fails over time

After a negative experience with double typing that worsened to a degree that was not ok anymore I decided to give it another shot. Second one had the same issue after just over 2 years. I expect a keyboard this price to last longer. I'd say avoid even though they look and type good.

Catch 22 for not Permitting Support Ticket Creation

My 5QS keyboard quit displaying key lighting suddenly. However, my attempt to create a support ticket on the Das Keyboard website was an impossible task. I attempted twice (lots of info, which is proper), and each time, I was told that the creation of the ticket failed, and that I should contact support. The only way to contact support is via a ticket. Seems I read something similar in Catch 22.

I bought three of the same keyboards…

I bought three of the same keyboards straight from the website. One of them had a key-chattering issue that essentially made the keyboard unusable. I received no support other than a recommendation to clean the keys. Terrible customer service. The other two keyboards still work fine, but 1/3 defective doesn't make for quality products.

Decentish keyboards albeit over-priced, completely incompetent customer support.

TL;DR: Decentish keyboards albeit over-priced, completely 100% incompetent customer service and product support. Steer clear; better yet, build your own mechanical keyboard or go buy a Ducky.

I'm not at all impressed with what's been offered through Das. At the time of writing this, most of their keyboards are offered in a rather dull selection of standard Cherry switches. Though switches may just come down to a personal preference - their customer service, and pricing however isn't up for debate.

Keyboards at this price range to come with low-quality ABS-keycaps is a joke. Their customer service is COMPLETELY brain dead, and incapable of helping you with even the most simplest of tasks. I've been trying to get READILY ADVERTISED ON THEIR WEB-PAGE SPARE PARTS FOR MONTHS, and they're incapable of setting up an order to do so. Contacting their "distributor" in Germany(what is even going on here?) they told me to go look for a broken keyboard to buy that could possibly contain the spare part I was looking for. Genius. Must be at least 140+ IQ to come up with that solution. Get a lot of broken keyboards that would make that worthwhile, Das?

This keyboard company is for clowns, build your own mechanical keyboard. These guys can't help you but take your money for over-priced trash w/Cherry switches, and most egregiously of all, freakin' ABS-plastic trash keycaps.

"Please let us know by giving us a rating on the ticket" - links completely absent and removed to do so in the email, just help desk spam weeks later. So here, have a 1-star here you incompetent clowns.

I'm never buying another Das product again, you guys can't even support your own products at a premium price point.

Go buy a Ducky, or build your own keyboard.

Bought mine das keyboard new for $169…

Bought mine das keyboard new for $169 on amazon Jan 2020...stopped connecting December 2021. Cause was a well known firmware/hardware issue. das keyboard support response was "if you cant recconnect and "flash" an .exe file, send it back to us at your expense and pay a $45 charge. Maybe we will fix it and send you back another das BRICKboard. I will just plug my 8 yr old $17 Logitech keyboard back in and let my friends know what "das keyboard" is like to work with.

Unhappy Das Keyboard user.

If you get lucky, your Das Keyboard will last a long time. If you're like me, it will fail within a few months of daily use and you're out of luck. You would think they would have better support at their prices - there are other options that cost a lot less. Beware, their 3 year warrantee does not cover Amazon purchases - even though they are the seller - how does that make sense? Unfortunately, I would recommend against purchase - too risky.

Got a Das Keyboard 5Q

Got a Das Keyboard 5Q, very expensive, software was terrible and the keyboard broke after less than 2 years. Only 1 year warranty on a very expensive bit of kit. Ridiculous.

DAS Keyboard letdown

I purchased a DAS Keyboard 4 Mechanical - Cherry Brown and loved it but it suddenly stopped working after just under 2 years of use. Considering I paid $249 plus postage I would expect the lifetime of this device to be a lot longer. Contacted the company and they did provide a firmware fix in case it would resuscitate my dead board. It didn't and could only offer their understanding, case 'solved'. I'm understandably not happy.
