VIdeo Length (or at least text) is the core of the learning, and at datacamp capped at 3-5min. With that, solving exercises is pain.
it's clear that the video producers face unrealistic constraints in the form of video lengths. It's becoming increasingly evident to me that Datacamp borders on scammy, making claims that you can learn XYZ etc. from the lessons, which is as soon as you leave the basic level, complete bogus with such short videos. With the basic stuff, remembering the function names etc. is manageable, so doing the exercises can realistically be expected. But as soon as you enter the intermediate level, that is laughable if you ask me. If not more video length, then at least AI generated text explanations or simply relevant documentation should at least be provided.

Outstanding Customer Service & A Great Learning Platform
I first joined DataCamp in my final year of university, and it was genuinely one of the best resources I used while building my data and programming skills. The content was excellent, structured, and genuinely helpful in preparing me for the job I have today.
Fast forward a couple of years: after graduating, I no longer needed the platform, and because my student email had been deactivated, I didn’t realise my annual subscription was still active. I only noticed recently that I had been billed again.
I reached out to DataCamp support explaining the situation, fully expecting them to say that the renewal was valid under their terms (and it was). Instead, their support - handled swiftly by their well-tuned, helpful AI assistant - processed a full refund immediately. No friction or pushback, just a very professional and understanding service.
This left a very positive impression, and I feel it reflects extremely well on DataCamp as a company.
If you’re looking for a high-quality platform to learn data skills, I can genuinely recommend DataCamp - not only for the educational offering, but for the integrity and responsiveness of their support team.

Datacamp is terrible
Datacamp is terrible. All the courses use AI voices that are of very poor quality, and there are a lot of hallucinations. The exercise corrector is completely bugged; you give the right answer, and it doesn't recognize it. The courses don't delve into the subject matter. In short, it's not worth €150 per year (even with the ongoing 50% discount).
Datacamp has chosen quantity over quality – the quality of the courses doesn't seem to be verified. In short, a caching machine.

DataCamp is an absolute joke
DataCamp is an absolute joke! I try looking for specific training, and their site constantly pushes me to the same "take this course" page that has nothing to do with what I'm looking for. It has been extremely difficult to find the training I'm looking for without getting pushing to pages advertising nothing even close to what I'm looking for. Please don't waste your money like I did!
