Liars, cheats, and unprofessional

Told me over and over I needed a police report or a detailed cause of loss letter. I gave them the info the police gave me the day of the accident since I contacted them back later and they said that there isn't a police report available so I ended up getting the documents from my insurance. When I contacted dealerloyaltyprotection for the gap claim they told me over and over again the same thing I said in the beginning even though I had all the documents. They refuse to give me the service that I paid them for and want me to do their job for them but is never satisfied and will never approve the claim. Then when I try to get ahold of them on the phone THEY HUNG UP ON ME multiple times. Terrible customer service, can't rely on them to uphold their end of the bargain, and will gaslight you for not sending the right documents even though they are in the email and they need to retrain or rehire the staff they got including . As promised 10/10 🌟

As promised

Richard from the Dealer Loyalty Program was incredibly helpful during a very difficult situation between the dealership payout and myself. I was stuck in the middle and having a hard time getting resolution. Richard knew exactly what to say, handled everything professionally, and got it resolved within just a few hours.

Not only did he get the job done efficiently, but he also made the entire experience stress-free. I truly appreciate his communication, knowledge, and dedication. On top of that, I feel like I built a genuine professional friendship/ business relationship.

I highly recommend Richard — 10/10 service! 🌟

STEER CLEAR OF THIS WARRANTY…

STEER CLEAR OF THIS WARRANTY COMPANY!!!! They will not cover the full price of your repair if you go to a dealership for original equipment repair they will claim they are over charging!!!! My transmission went bad and the only wanted to cover half of the price for a new transmission that comes with a 100,000 mile warranty and half of the dealerships labor cost which left me to have to pay 4600 out of pocket!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE PLEASE BELIEVE THE REVIEWS WE ARE NOT MAKING THIS UP!!!!

Great service provided by Richard

Richard was very understanding with my questions on my policy and clarified with me how to work with DLP to get my repairs covered under my warranty(if applicable) as well as letting me know what my policy coverage is, great service was provided and if more agents were as in depth in answers as Richard i would say call 24/7

Go with another company

Beware! I have a GAP claim that has yet to be payed out 14 months later. Keep stringing me along with we are investigating everything. They also under paid the claim by 15000 stating the insurance should have paid more even though proper documentation has been provided.

If I could give it a zero

If I could give it a zero, I would. Don't ever let anyone talk you into buying a gap policy from these people. It is the most terrible place to do business with.
I totaled my car when a drunk pulled out in front of me. A police car filmed it. This company asked for four things for me to gather to send them. I did. After that they asked for 14 more things. Yes, 14 more things. Why? Just to try to get out of paying for the policy they had sold. If you dont gather them, they dont pay. Stupid things that really dont have anything to do with finalizing their obligation. After gathering these idiocy things, it's been 7 weeks and they have still not paid the car off. Try to call them you say? Impossible. They are trained to put you on hold till you give up. We are talking hours. This is After they will absolutely not return emails either. A company like this is what makes you understand why people go postal on a business. Why? Why do companies act like this. You bought the policy they were selling. They just dont want to pay what they are obligated to pay. Sorry ass company that people better take note and steer clear of if you dont want a major headache.

Please stay far far away from this…

Please stay far far away from this company. I wish I could give it zero stars. They are so unprofessional and their employees have no idea what they are doing. I was in an accident in July, and just got a call (January) that it was settled. The agents don't know how to communicate, gaslight, and refuse to help. I am a pretty calm person but this just about sent me over the edge. My case was settled with my lien holder months ago, and I just got a call 3 months later from this unprofessional company trying to go over my claim. When I finally reached out to the head of the company, things got done. Once again, Do not get gap insurance from this incompetent, unreliable, unprofessional company. They do not want to help their customers or pay the money that is owed.

I had worked with dealer loyalty…

I had worked with dealer loyalty protection for several months to have them pay out my gap insurance claim after an accident in July.

They were very helpful in making sure I submitted all of my documentation on time, and had everything I needed to file my claim.

After I submitted my documentation they did try to short change me a few thousand dollars on my gap payment.

After speaking with several people who weren’t very helpful, I did speak with Jonathan , who was extremely helpful in guiding me through the rest of the process, and ensured me that I’d receive the few thousand dollars gap owed me after working with my insurance.

After a few weeks of back and forth, I was able to have gap pay off the rest of my loan.

Overall my experience was very positive, Jonathan was great, and most of the people I spoke with at DLP were helpful.

Other than trying to short change me (which is their job, this is insurance after all) I am happy with my overall experience.

Loopholes and more loopholes

My car accident was 08/22 and they have not paid off my car yet, today is 12/05. Although I tried multiple times to reach out to them to start the process, I didn't get in touch with them until late September only for them to say they couldn't start the process until I signed and returned paperwork that basically allowed them to jump through multiple loopholes to NOT pay the car COMPLETELY off. So they finally started processing the request 09/29 and it is now 12/05 with no payoff and still getting the runaround. Today, I was told she could put it in to expedite my request, but, there was no guarantee that it would speed up the process. WHAT???? The longer it takes them to pay off my car, the more car payments go by, the less they have to pay. I HATE playing the car insurance game. If this is the ONLY GAP insurance company the dealership offers, get it, but make sure you find a different company in the next 30 days. This one is crappy.

Lied about my tire size to deny my claim.

Despite the wheels and tires on my 2012 Ford Flex being a factory size (235/55/R19), they denied my repair claim on the basis that they were an incorrect size. I tried explaining this to the adjuster in an email and then a phone call after they didn't respond, and still was told they were the incorrect size. So, 3k down the drain and a new transmission needed before too long.
Would not recommend. Just eat the bill over going to these guys

This company is horrible

This company is horrible. I have been dealing with them for over 6 weeks regarding my Gap claim. Their customer service is horrific. After calling almost every hour every day for 2 weeks, I was just told that they are not paying anything toward my claim because the insurance company undervalued my car. At first, I thought it was something that I did wrong, but after reading all other comments, I now know that this seems to be their norm. I was requested by them to invoke my appraisal clause right to my insurance company; however, the insurance company is saying that you cannot do that after they have paid the settlement. Now I am stuck. I have never had this experience with a Gap company in my life. If anyone received a resolution, can you let me know what steps you took in order to receive payment. Should we team up and seek legal action?

This company is a joke

This company is a joke. They’ll take your money and then fight you on every legitimate claim with made-up excuses. We had a turbo claim they tried to deny because the customer put new tires on — yes, tires. When that didn’t stick, they pulled another stunt saying the car was only worth $1,775, even though it’s easily worth $10,000+.

Their “claims team” hides behind canned responses and gets defensive instead of fixing the problem. Calling their emails “inflammatory” is just their way of dodging the fact they’re scamming people.

If you’re a dealer, do yourself a favor and stop selling their contracts — they’ll make you look bad to your customers. And if you’re a consumer, run the other way. This company is nothing but a rip-off and a headache.

Complete scam

Complete scam. I have been working for eight months trying to get my claim settled. I have submitted all of the necessary information and I have still not received anything. They keep coming up with information that they claimed I needed. Even got the auto dealer involved and still nothing.

They did not honor the warranty…

They did not honor the warranty purchased with the vehicle. Despite having a full Subaru dealer inspection, with a clean bill of health only one month before a mechanical failure, they claimed preexisting maintenance issues. Even when provided with Carfax maintenance records for 12 years and the Subaru dealership's clean vehicle inspection report, they still declined to cover.
