Same experience

Same experience, talked with Caitlin Galloway who claimed to represent the company that once managed Lulworth Mews on be half of Delux Homes. She claimed the two parted company and Delux went bankrupt in March 2021. Not sure about her story but she suggested we contact our bank to get our money back. We have done that (Santander) and they will refund our money but only after 22nd August when we were do to arrive at Lulworth Mews.

Same experience as others

Same experience as others. Booked the place near Poole via vrbo in Feb for June half term. No communication from Michelle King. Vrbo gave me her number but she never picks up and her voicemail is full. I managed to get hold of her once when vrbo put me through to her so she probably didn’t know who was calling. When asked when my reservation would be confirmed, she assured me it would be as soon as “boris says we can take bookings”. That was in early April and she has ignored all attempts at communication since then. I now see the company is also listed as managing Lulworth Mews in Dorset which has awful reviews. Will be avoiding and recommend others do unless you want your time wasted by an incredibly unprofessional outfit.

Guaranteed to be let down!

Like others, booked the apartment in Poole with VRBO in January 2021 for a July 2021 holiday, although the booking was confirmed and a deposit paid VRBO have just confirmed that the 'Hosts' can no longer accommodate us. No correspondence from the 'Hosts' after many attempts, very unscrupulous way to do business. Avoid this company unless you want to be as disappointed as we are.

No Communication

Same thing has happened to us with a property in Poole (possibly the same one?).
However, we did note that, although it’s no longer on air bnb, the same property was available for the same week on Vrbo! We think they’ve just listed it on there.
We rebooked straight away (paying an extra £400!) but have been unable to speak to anyone about what’s happened and why.
I don’t know if this is useful to any of the other people who lost their booking - if anyone would trust giving it another go. After reading these reviews, we may well cancel our booking while we can still get a full refund.

Heart Broken

What can I say! Booked the house in Poole via Airbnb only for it to be cancelled months later. Lockdown after lockdown, have not managed to see the family as everyone is in different parts of the country. After searching for hours over a few days, negotiating with different family members eventually agreeing on the perfect place. Booked at ease via Airbnb. Then you see on the news regarding international travel bans and you think, glad booked in UK already. Well I couldn't be more wrong. Not only can I not find a place that is large enough to cater for us anymore, cost wise - literally looking at least twice the amount.

2 DAYS after writing above review.
This property has now appeared on another platform/website. Also for the same period, little bit of a price hike, I have emailed the same host via this website and so has one of the other travellers.... More than 48hrs - no response. Also looking at the t and c's on this said website - a scammers dream. So shall not be parting with any money.

So we've had to cancel it off. In all honesty its just a glitch of a year. I really thought I was well prepared, booked nice and early etc, this was the chance to venture out into the UK. But now will just carry on spending my money abroad. Thanks Michelle King, you're a legend👍🏾

Avoid avoid avoid

Since booking a holiday home with this company via Airbnb, the host has gone to ground and is not communicating with anyone despite holding our significant deposit. These reviews speak volumes and we are now pursuing with trading standards and we will go to the police as the owner (Michele King) is a clear fraudster.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful, houses are falling apart, double bookings, turned up as Michelle didnt call to cancel my booking as there was already a family there.
Horrible con artist who refuses to refund us.
Still taking bookings through COVID doesn’t care about the pandemic.
Don’t waste your time with them ALL.

Avoid this business as there is no communication when required

Overall a very poor experience. No communication of any use. A booking was made for a week in Poole Using Airbnb, three days prior to The holiday starting we rang Michelle only for her to ignore our calls. When she did eventually answer she couldn’t find the booking, but said she would call us back which she did not. Eventually we got Airbnb involved and after 12 hours of no reply they decided it was safest to cancel the booking. Disgraceful service. Since then we have seen of the reviews all of a similar nature this is this is a business to avoid.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. Booked their Sandbanks apartment in September 2019 almost a year in advance for a week in August 2020. Quick enough to take the money but a week before we were due to go, contacted Michelle King but with no answer to any of our calls, texts or e-mails. It took Airbnb intervention to find out that she had cancelled our booking along with other families for other properties in her portfolio just three days before check in. Michelle King / deluxe holiday homes is a fraudulent operation and needs to be shut down, currently pursuing with trading standards.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! Avoid at all cost they are scammers. We booked through Air B & B for a property hosted by Michele King, Craig Kebby and Jo, under the Deluxe Holiday Homes. A week before contacted them with a couple of questions, said would call back never did. Called and messaged on the day no replies. Went to house that was booked, people there said no booking and no payment! So then we knew then we had been scammed, not even sure the people at the house were in on the scam! Air B&B’s assistance was the minimum they had to do. 15 of us are victims of this company they are not nice people they ruined our break that had been planned for months.I have emails etc to back up all of the above.

Do not use

I strongly recomend NOT using this business. Extremely disappointed with the terrible customer service we received after booking a property over Christmas. After paying the initial deposit and wanting to complete the payment, we were unable to get an answer from the business despite calling, emailing and leaving messages with various 'employees' for a couple of months. Despite being told multiple times we would be called back, we never were. Eventually, another family member was told the property had been withdrawn by the owner. Days after this, after we threatend to report them, we were told that our booking had been cancelled. No apology was given or acknowledgement that we had been ignored. An overall disgrace.
