Things can change quickly!
After a constructive initial review that cost £1500 I followed the advice given and set up a new pension fund with AJ Bell Investcentre. Not 3 month into this I found out rather suddenly that the advisor I had been dealing with was to leave Depledge within 1 week.
I was unable to set up a face to face meeting as requested to discuss the transition and explained that having a disabled child, no access to transport to get to their offices and that email and phone would be fine for on going communication.
Given this constraint I was appalled to recieve the following message from them;
"I am not comfortable in acting for a client that I have not met and does not have time to meet. The client / adviser relationship must be based on mutual trust and understanding to be effective."
They then cancelled our agreement, leaving me having to either move my pension or find another advisor that would be able to take it on.
