A recommended company ......really?
I was suspicious how this company was listed as a "Trusted Trader" by my Local Authority, yet it had no reviews other than on Yell and Google, which were almost all several years old. Nevertheless, I decided to take them up on a fencing quotation, which wasn't the cheapest.
The workmanship was quite good, but we had a few problems that shouldn't have occurred:-
1) I stipulated beforehand that no radios should be brought onto the site. One of the first things they did was switch one on.
2) They started using the wrong size of gravel board.
3) They wasted half a day's worth of (metered) water by leaving the outside tap on.
4) Whilst digging, they punctured the gas supply pipe, even though they had been warned where it was. Work was held up whilst Cadent came to repair it.
5) Throughout the work and even when the job was finished, the men just cleared off without a word, leaving us to wonder if and when they were coming back.
Other things I found lacking were the absence of any contract Terms & Conditions both in the quotation and on their website plus any indication of warranty terms.
I (politely) fed these criticisms back to the company afterwards, but their response was something along the lines of "your comments have been noted" and no apology.
So, whilst I was satisfied with the finished fence, I wouldn't use them again.
