Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 71 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of products, noting a decline over time and issues with items like water systems, lawn mowers, and drills failing prematurely. The warranty process was a significant point of contention, with numerous reports of difficulties in registering products, getting support, or having warranties honored, often due to strict interpretations of terms or issues with unauthorized dealers. Customer service was frequently criticized for being unhelpful, slow to respond, and difficult to reach, with some experiencing long wait times and unresolvable issues. Additionally, many felt that the pricing was not justified given the perceived drop in product quality and the poor after-sales support. However, some customers did appreciate the power and quality of certain tools, and a few had positive experiences with warranty replacements, though these were less common.

Resin (PV60-Pro)

Resin (PV60-Pro) - I've had such a bad experience with this, it does not set at room temperature even after 6 hours, it is still wet to the touch. A huge waste of time and energy. I will not rely on chemical anchor resin from DeWalt in future, and now that I've seen these reviews, I'll most likely avoid the brand altogether in future. What a disappointment.

I do undecan anyone in the world to their job from customer service and get me a part number or some catches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!rstand that you're saying that…

I do understand that you're saying that the tough system one and the tough system 2 are both compatible but they are not compatible with the entire range like you imply. The DeWalt 1-70-324 DSCarrier TOUGHSYSTEM Heavy Duty Folding Trolley DEW170324 and the tough system 2 boxes are not lockable to the DSCarrier under my understanding that means they're not compatible(THE TOUGHSYSTEM 1 HAS LOCKABLE CATCHES TO LOCK THE BOXES TO THE DSCARRIER)I've asked it to be escalated but still nobody decides to respond to me I am very dyslexic so I do have problems explaining myself I have a friend with the same issue as well and I recommended the DS carrier to him because I thought it was the strongest methods of transport
we both brought boxes at the same time I would have prefer to stay with the toughest and one because it's got that catch on if dewalt want to send me some catchys so I can fit them on the new boxes I'll be quite willing to do that but it is rather annoying that you're saying that they are backwards compatible when I don't believe that the only thing I didn't like about the tough sister one was the Loch holes they break easy so can you bring out a tough system 3 with them catches on the boxes has the DS carriers of far superior trolley to any of the others and I have two of them its a shame you can't purchase the tough system one but me and my friend have been avid supporters of DeWalt for years and spent a small fortune on them I'm not going to recommend to dewalt anymore unless they sort this out .I cannot understand how DeWalt don't care about their customers anymore I just get the impression they're getting too big for their boots DeWalt customer service used to be second to none now it just feels like no one wants to listen I have brought to dewalt tools regularly over the years from America and UK.I cannot lock the tough system tool boxes to the ds carrier because there is no catches like the tough system one had,I think that was the best part of the DeWalt system boxes, and yet they took that off tough system 2 boxes.surely they should ask their customers what they want the price of tools these days you need to lock them up so why can't they just send them out to people they must be some of them catches somewhere in the world but for UK deWalt can't find them I have eight new boxes and I've got two DS carriers although the boxes locked together they don't lock to the DS carrier which means to to me it looks like they've made the DS carrier obsolete which I think is damn right disgusting considering that was the best part of the boxes can America track them down and send them!!!!!!!! UK dewalt can't be bothered to find the part number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dewalt Garrison work safety trainers/boots

Dewalt Garrison work safety trainers,,for the money are absolutely crap, cheap materials that smell after a month or so and look very scruffy after around 5-6 Months. I wouldn't buy again and have had far better for less money .

Wow...a lot of unhappy people with fingers to the keyboard. Sadly, customer service with many companies is not the best, but the good news is that most of De Walt's products are reasonably well made. I have two 12volt drills which I've owned for about 5 years. They have survived multiple drops and just keep on working. I also have had a DW788 Scroll saw. This piece of equipment is amazing, and definitely worth the money. If you're a retired hobbyist as I am, this is just a great design, and easy to work ...

The tough system 2.0 charger is dog crap you can’t even charge a 12 amp battery with other batteries stranding up it’s not worth it
If Dewalt made it one inch taller then all the batteries would fit and it would be totally worth it but it’s not so it’s crap

I have 3 Dewalt power tools

I have 3 Dewalt power tools - Miter saw, Orbital sander and Impact Wrench. I am happy with them overall. Unfortunately, for the little that I call for tech support its like they make it very hard to speak with anyone. I have given up on getting in touch with a person and trust me I am persistent. If I give up that means I've tried everything. This will make me think twice about buying another dewalt product.

After about an hour, a screw loosens

-------------------------------------------------------------After about an hour, a screw on my DeWalt brush cutter loosens DCMASBC1N and the lower part rotates freely and damages the unit. I send in the part for a repair on the warranty as I believe that a "professional machine" should last more than an hour.
I get a reply that the machine has been driven too hard and then the screws on a DeWalt machine loosen.
I answer: What you write confirms my conclusion that the lower screw came loose and caused the damage that has occurred. The fact that the screw has come loose must be due to the fact that it has been tightened incorrectly, which is an obvious manufacturing defect and is therefore covered by the warranty.
The alternative is that DeWalt believes that it is perfectly normal for a significant screw to come loose on the first day of work.
I stand by my view that it should be repaired within the warranty.
- But I'm forced to pay to get my machine back!

Luis Estiven Marta montoya Or Steve…

Luis Estiven Marta montoya Or Steve customer service representative provided horrible customer service. Not only he doesn’t respond to ur request but he will open your file but do not respond. Also he did advice he was busy with other customers and I guess there’s a scale to who to assist.

Not only that he made an send 10 000 pictures and still not satisfied. I find this is ridiculous when my warranty is still effective.
All my pictures are clear and I have resend several. Every time I send a picture he will say send new one when it’s photo is very clear.

This is such a disappointment and I will never buy products from dewatt again

Do not order! Not UK company

Avoid! Do not order! I ordered the item after reading Luke Edward’s review on top3- best dehumidifiers but wish I had seen the reviews on this site before ordering. Afet 10 days of not getting any delivery update I got suspicious and check the reviewed here… and I’m so mad at myself! How did I not check it first here. Anyway I contacted customer support to request cancellation but was told that the product is shipped, so cancellation is not possible. The cut long story short it eventually arrived and I thought, ok let’s give it a try it might actually be good. How delusional I was. It’s been working for two days ( approx 6 hours each day) and it couldn’t get even a cup of water with my windows still full of condensation. I’ve checked the return policy sent to me by customer service and oh where do I start. It staters: Return at your own expense, the box shouldn’t have been opened and so on. So how do you try the item and decide if it’s good or not if you don’t open it? So basically I’m stuck with a product that is not doing what it says it should do. I’d have never ordered an expensive item if I didn’t have the comfort that is a UK company with seamless return policy. This is a scam. Do not fall far it as I did.

My xr drill driver started to grind in…

My xr drill driver started to grind in its gear box after 18 months of light hobbyist use. Book says 3 year limited warranty. True is a one year warranty and then it’s on you. Almost as much to repair as to replace with a complete kit. Don’t mind me, but I feel screwed.
A $200 tool lasted 18 months and then costs $100 to repair because the warranty is not as printed is the manual. (And I’m stuck in their 20v battery system) grrrrrrrrrr.

Don't Buy DeWalt Mower If you Live in Austin

I purchased a DeWalt Self Propelled Mower about 1 year ago at Home Depot. It has stopped working. I live in Austin, and neither Home Depot, nor any lawn mower repair facility will fix a DeWalt. I was willing to pay to fix it, but no one would repair a DeWalt. I called their service center but it's in San Antonio. I was told to drive an hour and a half to see if they could fix it. If they didn't have the part, I could leave it and come back. I have no intention for driving an hour and a half each way for a maybe, or 6 hours all in if I have to leave it. I'll just buy another brand that can be repaired near where I live.

My advice, if you live in Austin, do not buy a DeWalt.

Dewalt not for professionals

If you earn your income by using power tools you may wont to consider going with a professional tool manufacturer, not a manufacturer what Dewalt became since Stanley bought them .
I used to have multiple Dewalt tools in my shop some did a decent job some not so much.
But the Mitre saw was terrible, alignment was out once a week
dust extraction was not noticeable
and fence layout was inconvenient to dangerous.
Then there was a recall which Dewalt never made public and i only found out because the recall part blew up right in my face.
And then the Warranty process “terrible “ and the part didn’t show up either . They said they send it to the wrong Adresse “ standard excuse for thousands of customers
9 month later still no replacement part.
My recommendation. If you are a serious professional buy good tools not good looking tools.

I’ve had 2 palm sander switches go out and they wanted me to pay as much to fix it as it cost. The quality of these tools are going down hill fast. I’ve used dewalt power tools for 20 plus years and they are not as reliable as they used to be. They will not replace them for free. What a shame!!!!

My husband WAS a DeWalt fanboy

My husband WAS a DeWalt fanboy. We own chainsaws, weed trimmers, fans, blowers, drills, impacts, mitre saws, saw stands, circular saws, cutoffs, jigsaws, reciprocating saws, shop vacs, hand vacs, jobsite speakers, stools, lights, worm saws, two kinds of sanders, jackets, and a ton of batteries and chargers. He purchased a drywall cutting tool last year from Amazon that quit working the second time he used it. No problem, we assumed, contact DeWalt and use their much touted warranty. The good news, yes, it's under warranty. The bad news, it will cost us, the consumer, $69 plus shipping to get this tool fixed under their so called "warranty". The tool only cost $87 brand new last year on sale through Amazon. How much is DeWalt going to charge me if my expensive Mitre Saw fails? I expected them to either replace or fix my warranty free of charge if it failed, not to have to pay the same cost as I purchased it to get it fixed "under warranty". You've been warned, their warranty is worthless. Wish I'd have known before I spent tens of thousands of dollars on their line. I will look to a different manufacturer in the future, Dewalt, you lost a long time loyal customer. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Goodbye.
