DG Obviously Stands For Dodgy Garage

We bought a car from this dodgy geezer a couple of years ago. Gave us the impression he was helping us by checking the car and pointing out things we should check, even to the extent of pointing out an issue. We were told they would be sorted when we picked up the car a week later.
Arrived a week later to a closed garage, waited for about 45mins until he arrived only to find all the issues were still there. A bit of silver paint on the back door was his fix to a bare patch (its since rubbed off) among other things that weren't fixed or were botched up. Would trust Rolf Harris with my kids more than this cowboy

Ford S-Max

**AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS**
Bought a ford s-max. Within a week car starting showing problem with acceleration hesitation. Also upon inspection, I noticed the near side front door had been damaged and repaired by changing the outer skin. The outer skin was not fitted properly, the bolts were loose and door card also not fitted correctly. Despite tightening the bolts, the door frame is still dropped and bent. Garage refuses to fix the problems. Reported to finance company and financial ombudsman.

Bad Service

Hi, I bought a car from them basically about 6 month ago. There has been lots of faults and problems ever since. Called up but got no help, they don't care now that I've handed over the money.

AVOID.

Not honest enough about the car

I wouldn't recommend buying a car from this guy.

Summary (TLDR):

- Falsely described in advert
- Faults not divulged when asked
- Less than honest car dealer- avoid!

First off, the description in the advert was wrong. The condition and amount of MOT left on it was incorrect. It was listed as 'fully valeted', but was certainly not. It was listed as 'recently serviced', but my mechanic friend is adamant that it has not been serviced in years. When challenged about this, he refused to engage with my communications (he already had the money, so didn't care about being honest or doing the decent thing).

I live in the real world, have pressures on my time and wallet and cannot afford to travel miles to view a car based on misleading information. I bought the vehicle anyway, as I was in a bind and had no other option. As such, I was very angry to find that I had travelled to view it based on false descriptions.

He was asked directly if anything was wrong with the car before purchase, and lied. After buying the car, I discovered a number of problems, several of which he must have known about. This contravenes regulations around used car sales, and I could try and fight for a partial refund but can tell that it would be a painful and drawn out experience, so I'm just cutting my losses!

Don't make the same mistake I made.
