Scam

Scam, they don’t want to send my money back even though they said it. And they don’t answer on further mails about it.

Blatant thieves

Not only do these fraudsters turn your single purchase into a repeat payment, but when you discover the scam and try to cancel they refuse to recognise you email and order details. I have now canceled the payment direct with Paypal, so hopefully that's ended it, but I'm still over £200 out of pocket.

Extremely Disappointed – Unpaid Funds and Unjustified Deductions

I have had an incredibly frustrating experience with Digital River since July 2024. As my payment gateway, they owe me nearly $30,000, yet they have failed to process the payout despite multiple follow-ups. To make matters worse, they continue to deduct funds from my balance, claiming it is for platform fees and support, even though I no longer use their platform and have received no support whatsoever.

This situation has caused severe financial hardship for me. I worked hard to grow my business, but due to Digital River's actions, I am now labeled a defaulter. Their lack of transparency, communication, and accountability is unacceptable.

I strongly advise others to reconsider using Digital River's services. Businesses deserve reliable and trustworthy partners, not this level of unprofessionalism.

SCAM/FRAUD

I am glad I did not transfer any money to my account because it seems like DR tried to charge me even though I cancelled my subscription a month before the trial ended. Now I am blocking them forever and ever. (I used avast, now I’m uninstalling it)

Edit: I have only used a credit card; I have not even used PayPal. They are now attempting to use PayPal to charge me money. The ultimate thieves. All of them ought to be in jail.

I'm glad that I looked up Digital River…

I'm glad that I looked up Digital River before I renewed my Avast antivirus subscription. I was in the process of renewal because there was a discount, so I thought I would get it early at half price.

The problem was, something went wrong with the purchase, so I tried to get in contact with support. I started talking to him, while doing a little research about what Digital River was. I found this site, which was almost exclusively one-star reviews, and I told the technician that I didn't know if I wanted to go through with the transaction (it turned out that I couldn't have even if I wanted to, because the bank identified it as a possible fraud and canceled my card, which was fun...), he kept pushing and pushing and pushing for me to buy a new subscription.

He finally made me so uncomfortable that I closed out of the chat and refused to say any more. The following week, I uninstalled Avast for a more trustworthy antivirus.

Screw you, Digital River. I'm glad I trusted my gut feeling about you.

Scam software, zero customer service

I wanted to download the Prime movies I bought for a screenshare party with my friends across the country, so I tried this software and while it worked the first day (bought 10/31/24), I decided to cancel the subscription after I had paid for 30 days of license as I could download all my movies in 30 days. Well, as soon as I cancelled the product, the company cut my license access. I can't download anything. I discovered the issue within their 5 day guaranteed refund if I was unhappy, but nope. They will not issue any refund, but instead are demanding "log files" from my computer to "judge the issue". The emails are in very choppy English and indicate the individuals writing them have very little to no grasp of English. The correspondence and insistence to get log information (who knows what kind of information it'll give - they won't say) has all the earmarks of a massive hacking or scam attempt. I refuse to risk my personal data, especially with a disreputable company that steals by cutting paid license access because I didn't want a subscription.

Stay away from this company. I'd give it -10 stars if that was possible. I've had to go to the extreme of filing a dispute with my credit card for fraudulent use, and I'll be putting a block on my card around what would have been the renewal time so they can't continue to scam me out of money. Ridiculous.

P.S. if the company tries to respond to this: don't. I've been in regular contact with your 'customer service' since 11/5/24 and not only will you refuse to fix the issue, all you do is make yourself look like a huge hacker/scammer.

DR is a fraud.

DR is a fraud.
I have paid to OptionNetExplorer ("ONE") using digital river("DR"), but the vendor - ONE in this case - reported after 3 months that they have not received payment. While ONE is equally responsible to tell me this after 3 months and not tell me immediately after my credit card was charged on 13th Aug 2024, DR plainly refuses to make any refunds. I am part of a community where several dozen people have been defrauded by DR in similar way.

SELLER BEWARE - No longer a trustworthy partner

Seller beware: Think twice before doing business with MyCommerce/Digital River. As of October 2024, these are the new conditions:

- 100 EUR /month "service fee".
-185 EUR /hour for any non-trivial support, leading to unexpected charges on your revenue.
- Minimum revenue requirement of USD $25,000 per year, or they’ll cancel your account.
- Payouts issued no sooner than 60 days after the corresponding month.

The new seller support portal is also terrible. Resolution times are 7-10 days or more, with most responses being “we've asked the team and are waiting for a reply.” Support seems to be outsourced.

I've been selling my products through MyCommerce (formerly Share-It) for 21 years, but I’m leaving this month due to the company’s recent direction. Avoid at all costs.

As an alternative, I recommend PayPro Global. It’s nearly identical to MyCommerce but modernized to meet today’s technologies and seller needs. They’re highly responsive and work proactively with you during account setup.

Support invoice for processing mails

Due to the outrageous change in conditions, I gave notice of termination on October 16 and requested payment of the sales proceeds that had not yet been paid out. Before that, I asked to stay with the old conditions. I was charged €268.49 + VAT for the processing of this request, the processing of the required proof that the bank account to which withdrawals have been made for 5 years belongs to me, as a support service. I was also charged €44.73 + VAT Platform Subscription Fee for the period from October 17 to October 31, even though the contract no longer existed. The revenue for the months of July to October has not been paid out.

Logitech Contract renewal

I wanted to renew a contract for Logitech security cameras. The link in their email did not work. The telephone number in their email was not accepting calls. You cannot contact them. Digital River steals merchants' money

Like many other vendors are reporting, we can say that Digital River has acted in bad faith, holding (stealing) money that is owed to us.

Something is wrong with the justice systems of the world when private equity groups can steal millions of dollars and get away with it.

If you are a merchant that is considering Digital River, stay away!

If you are currently with Digital River, leave before they pull the same thing with you.

Digital Rivers has over the last 15…

Digital Rivers has over the last 15 years done a very poor job.
Most recently a number of software vendors have informed their customers, including me, that Digital River is still selling licenses for their clients but have not paid them since July 2024.
So, I am simply posting this review to warn any user to stay away from Digital River and check with any potential software vendor to be sure you are not ordering additional software using a Digital River link which as this point is not paying the vendors whose software you continue to buy.
