Yes, you have helped...this makes a BIG difference. Wish I had asked earlier during the process of checking if my 50.000+ images in SmugMug contained images i lost amongst my 160.000 on the pc.

The app is really fantastic. The drawback is that it is not simple to use all the features (surprise!) and to explain everything thoroughly becomes a very thick book that by its thickness becomes difficult to take in (same dilemma as always)

After trying many file cleaners, this is absolutely the most comprehensive duplicate file finder/cleaner with a fairly easy interface, you can find duplicate pictures for example, based in similarity, regardless of file name or format. Simply select what to keep...newest, oldest etc in a single click and remove them. I removed 5,000 duplicated picture files after combining years of back ups. I bought the Pro version and it is defintely worth the money. The trial version will only handle deletoing 100 files, but still worth trying for a small number of files. When you see it you will want to buy Pro!

Instructions from James R worked perfectly. I deleted from both my PC's, downloaded again used the Key.
Was able to delete 3500 photos on my first try.

It solved the problem I had and confirmed my past very positive experience with their products - Duplicate Cleaner Pro - which I use for some time already with very good results.

The support desk got back to us to address our issue almost immediately and had a working fix soon after. The support was amazing and ensured our business continuity.

Claims to be free, but at the very point that it actualy does the job it's meant to do, it gives you a message to say that you need to pay them in order to carry out the results in the "free trial". Switch and bait. Scam. Avoid.

I make 5 star because of the quality of the support I had and the speed of the answer. I would not give 5 star in term of the interface Human Machine for the software; It may be a good software, do the job, can do maybe many thing but it take time to be handle.
For me it was not straight foward for basic tasks that I wanted automated and also and usual, did not want to spend much time to read the manual !!

My e-mail address entered during the registration of the previous version of Duplicate Cleaner Pro software has changed. I requested a free upgraded license key for the new version of the product to be sent to my new e-mail address. I received the upgraded license key to my new e-mail address within a few hours. Duplicate Cleaner Pro 5 is a very powerful tool that has allowed me to consolidate all my files, dispersed through several devices, into a NAS by eliminating a huge number of duplicates that would have doubled the space required. The program is very well organized, easy to use with a great online help. In the rare occasion that I needed some info I could not find in the manual, the technical support of DigitalVolcano was extremely fast and helpful in answering my query.

REALLY helpful company. Digital Volcano's Duplicate Cleaner is an amazing product which I have used for 10 years. When upgrading my computer last week I had a problem installing Duplicate Cleaner - the response I received from their helpline was FAST (within a couple of hours) and with VERY clear instructions on what to do.

I recently changed my motherboard and had issues registering Duplicate Cleaner.

Emailed support and the problem was fixed. This truly great service and an honest vendor.

Needless to say, that Duplicate Cleaner is a worthy, well-functioning software that does what it says it does.

Duplicate Cleaner Pro is such a great program that it is hard to believe that it could have such a stupid flaw. When it is scanning it is left with a dialog box displayed that has a big stupid cancel button sticking out like a sore thumb begging to be pressed. No confirmation as to whether you really want to throw away four days of scanning or not, it's just done! Your screen goes black so you click to wake it up and guess where you click? I have probably lost weeks of scanning time because of this over the years I have been using this software. I started putting up a notepad over the self destruct button so I couldn't click it when I can't see the screen and this worked for a while. Today, after days of scanning, the screen would not wake up so I clicked several times and must have clicked on a part of the dialog box that was in view and made it active and then clicked that big stupid NUKE button and days of scanning is down the drain yet again! Unreal!

My question was answered, with even a little more information that specifically asked.

Friendly and professional support, minor issue resolved promptly with no fuss. Very impressed and highly recommended.

I am just testing the software and had a slight problem with the capabilities. I sent an info request and was responded to very quickly and professionally. THis is definately something I look for in a software developer. I will feel very confidant in purchasing this software.
